We used to live in Northern New Jersey where we frequented the Portuguese restaurants in the Iron Bound section of Newark, famous for Portuguese restaurants. They hold nothing over Portugal Wine Bar. We enjoyed dining on grilled octopus in an incredible garlic oil sauce, seafood...chowder, tripled seafood over homemade linguini and braised lamb shank in a wonderful demi glaze. Everything was done perfectly and paired well with the Portuguese wines. I could go there and just work my way through the appetizer menu and be very, very happy. Jason was a very attentive and helpful server.More

Stumbled onto this gem.. the ambiance could use help but the service and food makes up for it! We had the red snapper and the rice seafood stew.. delicious, perfectly seasoned and served hot!

On our anniversary we were going to try a Portuguese restaurant in palm coast. My husband followed direction the opposite way. We were talking and did not notice we picked the wrong restaurant. This was a great mistake. The food is fabulous, service was great....The only thing was we sat outside and the seats are very uncomfortable. Other than that great place.More

Wine list need to be updated. Save that I think it's a wonderful place to have dinner... Or lunch .... or dinner or any other food you choose to have. Came here twice for some Portuguese flavor with octopus and fish, and some seafood. We...both ordered fish of the day and I have to say I am still kicking myself for not writing down the name. The fish was local but very very very very tasty. My daughter wanted her chicken fingers but opted for our fish instead. Service is not your New York high end place but extremely competent and knowledgeable. Overall a place to be eating while in Palm Coast.More

We travel for work all over the country this place is one of the top 10 places we've found to eat! The service is impeccable and the food was amazing! The chocolate cake was the best I have ever ate and my sister is the...owner of a bakery. We kinda didn't know about the location at first it's kinda in a strip mall but we had been on the road for 12 hours and it was nice not to have to get all dressed up for a 5 star restaurant and still get 5 star food and service! Love love love it you gotta try it.More

Much like my view of the Metro Diner: Large portions (ghastly) of mediocre food. That's about all I have to say.

We were in Palm Coast for a conference and was told to visit this restaurant by the locals. We were not disappointed! Very generous portions and the food/desserts were very good! We will visit again for sure the next time we visit this area!!

My companion and I had an excellent meal. I had a mixed piradinho that included sausage, shrimp, chicken, vegetables and potatoes. Very tasty. Saved some for tomorrow’s lunch from generous portion. Companion enjoyed her chicken and shrimp scaloppine. Nice little dinner salad in addition to...sliced bread and olives. Several Portuguese wines are offered. We enjoyed a Cabriz reminiscent of a Pinot Grigio. Dinner was topped off with a tiramisu and a cappuccino. Haven’t seen a dessert cast selection like that in a while! Service good.More

Based on good reviews, my wife & I made a 40 minute drive to eat "authentic" Portuguese. We ordered the Chorizo Flambe, Clams Casino, & Paella. After being served dry, stale, tasteless bread our appetizers arrived. The chorizo taste great, but it is only sliced...chorizo served in a bowl with no garnish or accompaniments. The clams were full of sand, making for a rather crunchy dish with zero flavor. Our paella arrived & was not recognizable. Seafood & rice soup is a more accurate description of what we were served ... and again with absolutely no flavor. It's as though the chef has never even heard of aromatics, herbs, or spices. Finally it was time for dessert. On the dessert cart the serradura appeared to be a glass of whipped cream with a smidgen of chocolate cookie dust mixed throughout. That's probably why staff described it as cookies & cream mousse & did not tell us it was supposed to be serradura until we asked if serradura was available. On another note, the restrooms were filthy. I've seen cleaner facilities in third rate truck stops. It left us wondering about the cleanliness of the kitchen. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place for a meal.More

This place has changed immensely . Used to be excellent but on my last visit the food was terrible both in quantity and quality. The red snapper I was served was a small red fish NOT a red snapper and the little shrimps were very...few. I cannot honestly recommend this place to anyone. I have heard similar comments from a few friends.More

I recommend reservations for holidays like Mother's Day / Father's Day or for large parties of 6 or more and weekends including Fridays. Other times (weekdays) you can walk in.
