Tasteless food and definitely not what we were expecting. We ordered sweet corn and chicken soup as a starter. We got big chunks of baby corn instead of small pieces of sweet corn - ugh!!! The chicken fried rice was passable. The Kung Po chicken...was tasteless and the green peppers hard to chew.More

Went in for take out. Was treated by an unfriendly and sour young woman who acted like I was bothering her by ordering food. There are so many choices in this town to get decent to excellent chinese take out food where customers are treated...with a smile. Not this one. The food was ok, par for the course. I will go to where I am greeted and treated like my business is appreciated. Goodbye Tokyo Peking. And start treating your customers with appreciation. I won't be one of them.More

When I go out to dinner with my family or friends, I first and foremost select a restaurant based on the quality of the food. My experience eating out, however, has taught me that somehow the food tastes better when the service, atmosphere and hospitality...of the restaurant and its workers are exceptional. That is the dilemma facing this reviewer. My brother-in-law and his family visited us in Florida from New York City during the Christmas holidays. They enjoy Chinese food, so we made a reservation at Tokyo Peking restaurant across the street from our development for its convenience and because a coupon from the local paper grabbed our attention. The hostess, who we soon discovered was the owner, seated us at a table that was cramped for the five of us and had no place settings, menus, tablecloth or napkins. As seasoned patrons of Chinatown in NYC, we weren’t fazed...yet. Despite there being only a handful of dinner guests seated, we waited for place settings and menus for quite some time before we requested them. We still didn’t know whether English was spoken here because not one word was uttered until we placed the coupon on the table as the waitress appeared holding a pad and pencil. She shook her head and repeated no, no, no several times. We asked why and she turned away to call for the owner. The owner angrily admonished us for attempting to use a $10 off coupon on Christmas Day when “Not valid on Christmas Day” was clearly printed on the coupon. Of course, the date of our appearance was December 23rd. This was not the way to greet locals upon visiting your restaurant for the first time. If not for our empty stomachs and tight schedule, we would have existed as quickly as possible. It was fortunate for us that we stayed to eat delicious spare ribs and dumplings as appetizers, well prepared WonTon soup and authentic and traditional entrees served family style. Cashew chicken, Mongolian Beef, Lo Mein (pork) and Shrimp with assorted vegetables completely satisfied our hunger and left us with smiles on our faces. So the good news was that we thoroughly enjoyed the food, used our $10 coupon and were served promptly. Of course, the bad news was that the owner and her staff didn’t understand the meaning of the word hospitality, didn’t effectively communicate with their customers, and created a hostile environment unnecessarily. No matter how wonderful the food may taste, nobody pays good money to be badly treated. By the way, the food is moderately priced, there is plenty of parking and the location is accessible.More

After I received a recommendation from a friend regarding Tokyo Peking, I decided to try it out. I have ordered take-out twice from Tokyo Peking and have not been disappointed! The pork fried rice is very good, and the Szechuan chicken has great flavor. The...orders have been correct both times and the food is really good for the price. I will continue to come back to this restaurant and would recommend to others!More

We ordered typical Chinese food. It was typical like other Chinese take out is area. Marginal at best. No spices added even though we specified 3 starts of heat.

This restaurant just opened about a month ago and we tried it out with some friends. We had the two flavor eggplant, yang chow fried rice, wonton soup and eggroll. The food was very good. We have also tried the Chinese barbecued ribs. These were...only so-so. Overall, we would go there again. I’m sure the crowd conditions will lessen over time. I think everyone wanted to try out this new restaurant which opened up in an area which could use a good Chinese restaurant. I’m sure this impacted the service and kitchen.More

Thought we’d give this new restaurant a try by Mirrasol. Did takeout. Hopefully they are still trying to work out the kinks, because overall, the food was pretty good, if you ignore anything fried. Hopefully they take heed to my suggestions and do something about...their fryer. Hesitant to try, being brand new and only a few reviews, but will try a place once. We haven’t given up hope because some things were delicious. The order was ready in 20 minutes and correct. Chinese eggplant w/garlic sauce was tasty and came with mixed veggies. Mildly spicy, but delicious. Good sticky rice. The beef with mixed veggie combo came with pork fried rice, soup and egg roll. The beef was tender and veggies fresh. Good PFR. The egg drop/wonton soup was delicate and light and the wonton was cooked perfectly, not doughy. Now the bad. We also ordered crab Rangoon and a shrimp egg roll. The reg egg roll that.came with combo was fair, just pork and cabbage. The shrimp was swimming in grease in the little bag. Not much egg in either. The Rangoon’s were even worse. Wonton skins were greasy and unevenly cooked and filled with curdled cream cheese or something. The chips that came with the soup were just as greasy. I think they either need a new fryer, turn the heat up or learn to work the darn thing. Hopefully the next time will be better cuz the menu looks great.More

We went there for dinner, 2 of us, ordered 2 meals and an order of fried rice to take with us when we left. It took 2 1/2 hours to get our food. The food was ok, but trying to get a drink refill while...we were waiting was impossible, they made an art form out of ignoring the tables that weren't getting their food. After we ate, we went to leave and asked for our fried rice, and were told we would have to wait at least another 15 to 30 minutes for it. Needless to say, we just paid the bill and left. No one asked us if it was ok, or if there were any problems. We were very disappointed. Had someone just kept us informed, and kept our water glasses full, we would have enjoyed it a lot more.More
