We love coming to Daytona so we can come here for a schnitzel! Always a pleasure. We take home leftovers for a couple of meals. Had. lovely Apple Strudel for dessert.

Although I've lived in the area off and on for several years, tonight was the first time I tried this Restaurant. First impression upon approach, this place needs some serious sprucing up, and the front door could use some scrubbing and a coat of paint....The interior is a throwback to times when it was cool to look pseudo rustic with antlers and stuffed deer heads which had not been dusted in years. A sign on the wall asking patrons to be patient because of being short on staff. True. One sole person working the front of the house, serving and busing. An interesting menu which had been taped together with electrician's tape! My dinner companion ordered Jägerbraten while I decided on Sauerbraten. Both dishes were similarly plated with Spätzle, red cabbage, some garnishes and the resp. meats which were invisible under a large pool of sauce. The Bratensauce (gravy) tasted like it came straight from a Knorr pacandage. The sauce on the Jägerbraten had finely chopped mushrooms and tasted bland. The Spätzle must have had aversion to being boiled in salted water and lacked any flavor. All in all, a very disappointing experience.More

Though very small in size, flavor, taste and presentation is HUGE! Very homestyle cooking, flavors and presentation. Large selection of different preparations of schnitzel, all the customary accompaniments. Our party of 4 sampled the Bavarian Chicken Schnitzel, and Sauerbraten . Took home some apple strudel....Portions were very generous. Everything was cooked to perfection and served hot. Reservations HIGHLY recommended. I think there were only about 7 if not less tables. The restaurant is very small. Cultural music playing added to the overall ambiance of the place. You really are transported to a Bavarian village. Extremely authentic cooking.More

In 2021, was our 1st visit to the Schnitzel Haus. We entered the establishment. There was no host or hostess stand. Upon entering, we stood, stood and stood. Eventually after about five minutes, a man who appeared to be the owner, approached us. No greeting...what so ever. He asked if we had a reservation, to which we replied no. The restaurant was mostly empty. He told us that the next reservation opening was after 7:30PM. We were there at about 6PM. We walked out. The rudest reception ever in our over 50 years of dining out. We will NEVER return to the Schnitzel Haus. We will be at The Rhein-Stube in Daytona Beach instead. Very friendly service and great food. To bad we never had a chance to experience the Schnitzel Haus.More

Enjoyed the potato pancakes, lentil soup and chicken noodle soup. Wurst platter, Jaegerbraten, wurst platter and Gulash were all very good. Spaetzle was great. Had a lot of food, brought extras home.

This is a very small restaurant (about 6 tables) so I highly recommend a reservation. The staff is extremely nice and the food is fantastic! The friend I was with said it reminded her of the last time she was at her cousins house in...Germany. Be prepared to go in hungry and walk out with boxes. If you are someone more interested in the look of a building do not waste your time as their focus is truly on treating you as family and serving you a great meal. The inside of this building will make you feel like you have returned to your grandmother's house and not a chain restaurant which I loved.More

I don’t think that there is a word good enough to describe my experience. Upon walking in you feel like you are in your grandmother’s house waiting for a delicious meal. The waiter was very kind, and accommodating to the little children we had with...us. Let alone, the food was amazing, and I especially recommend the potato pancakes. It also has a very friendly calm atmosphere not too loud or noisy. Overall this was a 5/5 and if I am ever in Orman again I would stop in for some food.More

My husband and I absolutely loved this restaurant. We felt like we were sitting at any given place in Germany and the food was authentic and really good. Never had sauerkraut soup, but I nearly licked the bowl. The Jaegerbraten is exceptional and the red...cabbage was the best I’ve ever had, and that is dozens of places. You’ve gotta check it out.More

Service was personable and professional. Food made to order and takes time. I’ll be back. The jaeger schnitzel was different from where I was stationed but very good. The goulash was fantastic. Also ordered the German meat meal with ham, brat, knockwurst, meatloaf and roast...pork. It was good but the ham really stood out as the best meat on the plate. Many schnitzel choices. This is a small restaurant I’d highly recommend making reservations or calling ahead.More

My husband and I walked across the street from our hotel to this restaurant on Father's Day. Thankful that they made room for us. We ordered the special and there was lots of food. Schnitzel with different cheeses on it, German potato salad, bread and...we had we had the apple strudel. We should have had a plain schnitzel without all the cheese and the German potato salad was not what I was used to. I am sure this restaurant has other great stuff..,but our meal included the special, 2 beers and 1 dessert and was around $80-90. Anyway, wishing them well.More

this is a must do for those seeking a unique dining experience. It feels like you step into Germany when you enter the front door. Staff is German speaking and everything appears authentic. decor is cozy. the setup is mostly for couples but there is...a table for a small group. it is a very quiet atmosphere, you have to speak in a very low voice unless you like everyone to hear you. German music in the background. The food is very very heavy - not for those seeking low cal options - although there were a couple healthier options on the menu. We discussed returning with family members.More

I went old school and had the wienerschnitzel and it was great, The potato salad is also highly recommended, but it would have been worth going for the the barley soup, alone! I only wish I had the room for some apple strudel.

My wife noted that we had never eaten at a German restaurant in our trips to Daytona, and my cousin who lives here had heard good things about this one (which has been around almost 40 years). So the three of us decided to go...there tonight. Because it is a fairly small restaurant, reservations are pretty much required if you want to get a seat. The service was friendly and efficient (food is cooked to order), everything was seasoned perfectly and quantities were generous (we will all have at least one more meal from our food; everybody seemed to be taking boxes home with them).More
