Had lunch here today —2 vaca frite and one pork platter. Food was good. The plaintains were dry to me and hard and the white rice was not fresh it was mushy in the center and hard on the outside. I guess they put it in a container then flip on the plate for presentation. Food was not piping hot it was little more than lukewarm. Serving size was good. I really enjoyed the black beans they were very good they were seasoned. I may go back if I’m in the area but wouldn’t make it a must do.

Im taken back a bit because I once considered this a favorite. I ordered something I typically request from Zaza in previous years; the Vaca Frita.
Pros: it was fast, the onions were prepared well, and the green hot sauce was exceptional.
Cons: I found it to be embarrassing to drink from a kiddie sized styrofoam cup only because I wanted water. Guest should get the same size (or similar) cup as any other drink especially when the meal is $14.00. Ketchup and table hot sauce were empty.
The black beans were 60-70% liquid.
Both bathrooms were not cleaned properly and the staff wasn’t focused on checking it.
Overall, this place seems to have reduced their quality. It’s a good lunch place but no longer a date location.

We hadn't been to Zaza in a very long time, and definitely loved every bite of the original Cuban we had! The bread is soft and the ingredients fresh and amazing. Service was top notch, and very well priced!

Ordered a Cuban sandwich
Guava pastry and tostones.
Pastry was okay. Sandwich was soggy and made like
They never made a sandwich before. Tostones we’re harder than my kitchen table burnt to a crisp hard.
Will never go back. Horrible

Terrible service. I ordered online, I received two messages saying my order was confirmed and the other stating they canceled my order. So I called and the guy who answered the phone sounded like he didn’t give a damn about helping me.

ZAZA Cuban Breakfast Combos is perfect for Keto Diet...I had the scrambled eggs with cheese on top...extra crispy bacon, cuban coffee no sugar and as a side I chose a salad to go for lunch time at work..Come asap and try this JEM!!!

Fabulous!!!!!
We all LOVED our lunches and really enjoyed the dessert patties we had too. I have never been here before and was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of all of our food. We will be back for sure!

Good Place to eat a good sandwich.Its on waterford lakes shopping mall so you know there is a huge comfortable parking.Place super clean and the cuban food its delicious.

We enjoyed everything we had, it was all flavorful. We ordered beef and chicken empanadas, a Cubano sandwich, mojo chicken, vaca frita, and lechon asado. Sides included roasted potatoes, pinto beans, congri, tostones, fries and salad. Should have skipped the salad as it wasn't much to be desired but all the other sides were good. The place is kind of small so finding seating for a family of 4 was hard. The price was so-so, 4 of us had meals, drinks and an appetizer for about $74

We’ve been here many times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and there’s never been a time when it hasn’t been packed. As a result, the restaurant is so noisy. This is fast food, so the menu is simple and pretty good for a fast bite. They have platters which is a choice of meat and 3 sides for around $11. There are also a few sandwiches on Cuban bread to chose from. Breakfast is available all day.
Orders are taken at the counter and the staff brings your food to your table. There are small tables inside with and a few outside. It’s located in the Waterford mall close to the movie theater, so parking is ample.
Not my favorite Cuban food, but it sure beats a burger joint. I've been working my way down the menu and so far everything has been pretty good. I probably like breakfast the best.

This location of Zaza isn't much to look at. It is small and crowded without any real decor (unlike a larger, prettier location I've been to). We enjoyed all of the side dishes--entrees come with three. The tostones were huge. We really liked the congri, maduros, salad, and garlic brown rice. The main dishes were less good. I got the veggie frita, which is supposed to be a vegetarian patty, but I am almost positive it was beef. My non-vegetarian boyfriend also thought it was beef and the wait staff wouldn't tell me what was in it. The sauteed onions on it were good, but the patty was not. My boyfriend got pan seared pescado. He said it was a bit dry and the portion size was very small. A woman at a nearby table got the same dish but her fish was twice the size of his. The quesito, guava con queso pastry, and espresito were all excellent. If I were to go back I would stick to the sides and desserts.

Guys, thank you so much for all of your kindness, your food is wonderful, people are happy here ! I can tell the locals like it here. People feel at home , From new people to regulars alike . Although Old Cuban Café has been around since I can remember i think Zaza’s beats even “Abuela’s competition” , the quesitos, coffee, and Cuban sandwiches are wonderful options! I love the old school Cuban music ... sigan echando un pie , zaza’s you’re killing it!
