Well cooked food, nicely presented and really tasty
This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. Restaurant is located slightly back on International Drive but still easy to find
Staff are really nice and helpful and eager to tell you about the food.
Very nice Ethiopian hot tea and native lager.
Will definitely be going back

I can’t say enough good things about this place!! It doesn’t look like much from the outside, and the little area it’s in isn’t super nice but it is sooo worth it to go anyways! I had never eaten Ethiopian food so I really wanted to try it, and I couldn’t have even imagined how amazing it would be. Our waiter was the owner (I believe) and what a nice man! He was so happy to tell us more about his culture and the reason the restaurant was decorated how it is, and give us recommendations on what food to try since it was our first time. We ended up getting the Chefs Special and added lamb onto that, and basically that dish is a sample of almost all of the meats, veggies, and sides that they serve there. If you have at least 3 people in your group and don’t know what to get I’d highly recommend it, because then you can try a bunch of different things and share it. That’s what we did and it was just fantastic! Honestly, I can’t remember what half of the foods were called that we got but it was all delicious! You take some of the bread, and grab the different pieces of meat and veggies and go for it, and seriously every combo I tried I loved. The lamb was cooked to perfection, and I was just so impressed. It all just blended together so well and wonderfully. To finish up we got Baklava for dessert, and it’s really some of the best baklava I’ve had. So fresh and made exactly how it should be. I am so blown away by this place, and highly, HIGHLY recommend it! For my covid people they also kept everything super clean and our waiter wore a mask, so you should feel pretty safe eating here.

Living in Orlando my husband and I are always looking for something different. I stumbled on this place when it showed up in my email. Then I poke around a little and found most of the food is gluten free and they can make the bread gluten free, there is a charge for it. Let me tell you it is worth it! I have never had Ethiopian food. I had the vegetarian combination and it is the best food I have had in a long time. There were collard greens, cabbage, yellow lentils, and red lentils. Plus a small little tossed in the middle. It was delicious. My husband has the meat combo and he was equally impressed. The teff was light and airy.
The ambiance is great, you would have a lovely time in the atmosphere. The prices are so reasonable. We will be going back. We will be ordering in! If they bottled the salad dressing, I would have that every day!
The service was wonderful and the people were lovely. If you like something out of the norm, want to support a local business, and like meat or vegetarian, this is for you!!!

We found ourselves on International Drive, and crossed off the chain restaurant options. Then we eliminated Brazilian and found ourselves at Nile Ethiopian! We were so warmly welcomed, and after perusing the menu, our server recommended Chef Feature … enough for us to try several of their offerings, all of which we said “That was so good!”
It’s a drive for us, from home, but now that we know what we’ll find, it will be worth the drive, for no other reason than to repeat our delectable dinner.
PS - if you are new to Ethiopian food, as was I, ask for an extra napkin.

We enjoyed our injera and veggie platters at Nile Ethiopian. Food was excellent, but servings were not huge. But no problem, we just ordered another platter. Nice choices for a family of vegetarians. We also enjoyed the Ethiopian honey wine. The kids loved eating with their hands, using the injera to pick up their food. So did the adults.

This place is a beacon, an oasis, a lighthouse in a foggy sea..........There is literally no good Ethiopian food outside of Orlando for what feels like thousands of miles. (There are actually two great Ethiopian spots in Orlando). So I am always so relieved when my wife begs me to make the hellish drive up I-4 to the tourist nightmare of chain stores and restaurants. Inevitably I slip away usually by myself to indulge in some really good injera, kitfo, gored gored.........all that best things that make Ethiopian food so unique and so special. God bless you!

Great that everything was traditional… the food, the drinks and decor. I’d not had Ethiopian food before but heard good things. Our family had the vegetarian and meat combination menus (Nile and chef special)… each was ample food for 2.
For vegetarians this place is really good. For Carnivores.. I personally really liked a couple of the dish’s, liked a couple and was ‘meh’ on a couple.
Ethiopian beer : good
Ethiopian hunny wine: unusual
There’s an additional charge added to the bill for use of card over cash. I think this was about 6% on our bill. You may be better to use cash if you’ve got it.
Service was very friendly and they were really helpful at explaining everything.
Core thing to know: you eat with your hands… using a dosa like bread to pick up the food. Maybe you can get cutlery if you ask but we didn’t to embrace the experience. As such, it’s little messier than I’m used to… but fun.

We looked forward to trying Nile Ethiopian Restaurant after it was rated the #1 restaurant outside Disney World by the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. It did not disappoint. It is located inside a strip mall on International Drive. We shared the vegetarian sampler meal. Delicious flavors! You need to be prepared for a meal unlike the typical American meal. There are no utensils provided. Meals are family style, shared by all in your table. Selections are eaten inside a wrap of Ethiopian bread. Very tasty, and again, very different. We enjoyed the tea, Ethiopian beer, and South African wine choices.

We enjoyed a delicious combination platter. Everything was very well-prepared and well-seasoned (the beef tips may have been a bit too seared, but still very good). The staff were very friendly, efficient and eager to suggest things. The only negatives were the large TVs that dominated my field of view from the table.

We happened upon this when looking up restaurants in the Orlando area. It had good reviews on Google & I love Ethiopian food. My travel companion had never tried Ethiopian food and since she is a vegetarian I knew we would be able to have a great meal. She loved it as much as I did.

First time there and trying Ethiopian food. It was the night after Valentines Day, it was quiet. Owner/server was extremely helpful and guided us through the menu.
Ordered the appetizer sampler and chef's choice. Great presentation and the layers of flavors and spices were phenomenal!!!
Very reasonable prices and now I know why they have won all their awards.
Can't wait to go back!!!!

The restaurant decor is authentic and the food was prepared well. The restaurant staff was nice and available to answer questions since we were new to the cuisine. The restroom facilities were clean and there were interesting items to see while listening to the Ethiopian music playing.

The owner, Abby went out of her way to prepare food for my entire staff. Normally, she's not open for lunch but we were all impressed with the food quality. Being born in Zambia, I was already familiar with the food but all my staff were first-timers and they all loved it! Thank you!
