This place has PLENTY of parking, it is located at this gigantic mall area and the restaurant itself is pretty large. Coming in I noticed that this probably is a former show house like a concerts hall, and possibly still may host events but I...am not sure of what kind. They have a huge sitting area, the place is seriously enormous. They have some moments on the way kind of preserving the history of the place, as well as some moments from the owner I assume, showing his vast reach into the celebrities of the Brazilian kind. As we came in there was plenty of sitting we got sit and proceeded to get some food. What I love the most about buffet style dining is that there is no waiting for food, I can come in staving and get something in my stomach within minutes. I love it. We got our first plate and funny enough as we came back to our table there was another couple sitting on it, I assume because the place is so big the hostess do not communicate that the table was taken and another hostess sat someone there. that was not a big deal we had plenty to sit on, just a bit weird though. THIS PLACE IS A PREFECT EXAMPLE THAT QUANTITY IS NOT IMPORTANT BUT QUALITY IS WHAT MATTERS. There was a vast amount of options, lots of protein choices as well as salads and sides, there was a lot of food for sure. however I did not particularly was impressed by any of the food. I had a COCONUT caipirinha and that also was very underwhelming. The deserts were mini and I am glad they were cause even the desserts were mediocre. I was really sad to see one thing that was very bothersome to me. THEY had a dessert mini listed as BRIGADEIRO and that dessert is usually made of condensed milk and coco powder and it is thick creamy and a very bold tasting of chocolate, it is a very common party dessert specially in birthday parties in Brazil. it bugs me that what they labeled as BRIGADEIRO tasted and looked like CHOCOLATE MOUSSE, and this is very serious to me cause the taste is not only to the same but mousse can be purchased by the box for very cheap at any market or any vendor. that goes to show that they were not only not serving an item that they say they were but they are also being grossely cheap about their food. After noticing this about the dessert it made me wonder where else they are cutting corners on, it really worried me for a bit. At that moment it completely made sense to me why to me their food was not very good. If you would like to eat there when you visit town, by all means go, it is indeed a good deal for cheap meal, but remember that here you will definitely get what you paid for.More

Ate with two family members on a Wednesday night with about 25 others in restaurant. There a nice selection of Brazilian and some American food items on their buffet. There were chicken, beef stroganoff and a few other meat and veggie selections on their buffet...with a small selection of desserts. Everything was warm with good flavor and seasonings. The Groupon for two included steak cooked to order, and it was decent enough for the price. Service and cleanliness were above average. I'd recommend this establishment and would likely return.More

My boyfriend and I bought the Groupon for this place thinking it would be like Brazilian restaurants we have been to in the past...it wasn’t. The atmosphere was strange...it says Gilson’s on the outside of the building and looks promising from the exterior, but inside...there’s a lash bar to the left and there was no one at the front desk to direct us around the corner to the actual restaurant. Weird. When we got to the host stand after almost walking into a lash studio (???), the hostess was having a conversation with a co-worker while we were trying to be seated which was kind of rude. There was hardly anyone there besides us, and there was some kind of event going on in a closed off portion of the restaurant that was separated by a curtain and it was extremely loud. Also, this is NOT like a Brazilian steakhouse where the servers come out with an assortment of meat and you choose what you’d like, it’s only a small buffet with subpar food. Most of it was room-temperature, if not cold, but definitely not warm. The dessert bar consisted of some fruit accompanied by small, plastic dipping cups of caramel and rice pudding (I think). Overall, the vibe was just very odd and not worth it. Just a fair warning before you buy the Groupon thinking you’re getting a good deal.More

They are very deceptive and lie about what is included in the Groupon deal. The food was also cold and terrible.

I should have known it was going to be bad when there were only 3 tables with people... the rest of the place was empty which is strange for it being a Friday night. The steak was overcooked with half of it being pure fat. Our...server didn't know how to open a bottle of wine so I had to show him how to use the bottle opener. Also there was a language barrier that made our difficult to order. Don't be fooled by the "desert" that's included... they mean pudding. I was really excited to eat here and was extremely disappointed by both the food and service. To add to this experience, I was overcharged and when I brought it to the waiter's attention, he threw his hands in the the air, said "oh my gad" aaaaaand proceeded to argue with me about it. I was shocked! I pointed out their error and couldn't believe the response. I do not recommend this place at all. Seriously... go elsewhere.More

My family and I visited Gilson's on our first night in Orlando for a quick weekend trip after our cruise. I thought this was similar to the Brazilian Steak houses I've visited in the past. It was not. We arrived right as the restaurant opened....The inside of the restaurant is nice enough, more of a large sports bar atmosphere. The service was ok, though we had to ask for refills. As for the food, everything, and I mean everything was cold; not much flavor. I was highly disappointed. The only good part was the steak (you have to pay extra for it). To tell you just how bad it was, we left and went across the highway to McDonald's.More

Stopped by after a movie, actually flagged down by a couple who run a small car show at the restaurant entrance. I was driving my Dodge Challenger. Decided to have dinner while my car was on display. This restaurant is massive and very well decorated....The food and service were amazing. It’s buffet style but top notch quality and absolutely fresh , with lots of choices.More

I luv this place. I am not Brazilian matter of a fact I’m black but this restaurant has amazing food my granddaughter and boyfriend brought me here for an early birthday gift. The food was tasty especially the corn chowder and the beef that’s on...the buffet is seasoned to perfection. My granddaughter went with the upgrade she was given 4 medium sirloin steaks and French frys the steak was soooo good oh my goodness, they have awesome table service the waiter we had went out of his way serving us, he explained that the menu changes daily, they have a live band that starts at 10:30pm the atmosphere is great people are friendly if you drink wine (we don’t) they have a very large selection. Check them out you won’t be disappointed.More

Large restaurant, everything was very good but a small buffet selection. Desserts especially were lacking. But the mains were delicious and great service, fun atmosphere. Loved the feijoada! Would return!
