This was our first time dining here. It won't be the last. What a restaurant. The service, decor, and food are outstanding. We were seated in a side room away from the busier section. The knowledge of Tim, the waiter was amazing. He helped with descriptions of food selections. He didn't steer us wrong. The beginning Ethiopian beer bread was... More

Excellent food and service. This restaurant has many wines from Africa to try and the food is very good. There is a dress code, should wear a shirt with sleeves.

The atmosphere here was lovely and relaxing--we sat by the big window next to the water feature and on the way to the table, the hostess explains the meaning behind the decor. Very nice. Our server was phenomenal - she helped us with wine selections and the menu. We tried a wonderful South African red blend and shared the Wild... More

Went to Jiko at the Animal Kingdom lodge this week with my sisters and fiancé for dinner. Had a reservation for 8:10 but they were running 20 mins behind so we had a drink at the bar. No biggie. When we sat the hostess gave us a scented hot towel which was nice but then no waiter came for 15... More

The best menu for African/Indian food. It changes often so all I can say is we were there October 11 and had two great appetizers to share instead of a dinner. One was corn/seafood soup, absolutely suburb!!! The other was the flat bread with chicken, pineapple and cheese and other things???, it was also great. The menu on line is... More

Jiko didn't quite live up to my expectations but I'd still recommend it and will probably return. It may be that I'd been spoilt by the meal/experience at California Grill or that my choice wasn't the right one. Jiko is double credit on the Disney Dining Plan and it is definitely worth it as the food is one level above... More

I recently visited Jiko during a short trip to Disney World. We had reservations for the restaurant, but like previous trips, we decided to sit at the small bar. Our bartender / server was Ian, and he could not have been more friendly and helpful. He explained the changes that had happened with the menu, and really helped us to... More

What a wonderful experience. Before we went to dinner, we enjoyed watching the animals outside the resort. We walked around the main lobby and looked at the displays. We had reservations and were seated shortly after arriving to the restaurant. Very attentive staff. Largest South African wine selection outside of South Africa. We were lucky and the wine we picked... More

One of our favorites at Disney. Great Ffood and atmosphere. Staff extremely friendly. The filet with Mac and cheese is a favorite, but now you need to request it as taken off menu.

We went here for their wine tasting class and also for our anniversary dinner; we loved both visits. The wine and cheese class on Wednesdays was really fun and educational too. It is very un-stuffy and lasts about an hour. For dinner, I HIGHLY recommend requesting a seat in the wine room if you are at all interested in wine.... More
