For anyone going here, it is more for the atmosphere than the food. This can be an interactive restaurant. They yell at you for having your elbows on the table, not finishing your vegetables, etc. Regarding the food, it is really expensive and only OK. The meatloaf was decent. I was told similar from others in my dining party that... More

When planning our Disneyworld vacation, I tried to pick restaurants outside the normal fast-food options, so the 50s Prime Time Cafe seemed to fit that bill and I was so glad it lived up to the hype. It was incredibly busy when we arrived for our 2:30pm reservation but had to wait only about 10 minutes which was fine. We... More

Food is what you would expect from and American kitchen in the 50s. My waitress was not the best, but I still enjoyed my experience here. I had the veggie meatballs and pasta, others at my table had the sampler and chicken pot pie. Portions were so big that only one of us got the clean plate sticker.

For the first time my family of 6 ate here for lunch. The place is suppose to be like a diner from the 50s. The waitress stayed in character and kept telling the kids to eat their veggies and my husband to get his elbows off the table. It was cute I guess. The food was average. The highlight was... More

This was probably one of the worst meals we had in any of the Disney parks! After waiting ages past our reservation time we were hoping the wait would be well worth it, unfortunately that was not the case. The waitress was soooo slow and seemed more interested in keeping the table next to us happy, even to the point... More

You are stepping back into the 50's, so keep your elbows off the tables and a word of warning - if you are kicking your brother under the table the waitress (mom) will literally tie your shoe to the chair to stop! Find out the fresh fish that dad brought back from the fishing trip! The food isn't five star... More

Hilarious, keep your elbows off the table, don't talk with your mouth ful etc the waiters make it like your mum is telling you off for bad manners, they play their parts so well and the food is as always in USA large portions and great taste. Despite the fun and atmosphere found this an expensive eat for what it... More

Awful. Flavorless. Disgusting. These were the words used by some members of our party when we visited this "restaurant." No one in our group of 6 liked, or finished, their meals. The waiter was funny, the decor quirky, but the vegetarian meatballs should be outlawed.

Description
50's Prime Time Café serves classic American comfort food in a TV-themed setting. The restaurant sits across from Echo Lake in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. The 50's Prime Time Café menu includes family favorites like golden fried chicken, traditional meatloaf and pot roast, cooked the way Mom used to make it—that is, if Mom were a 1950s sitcom star.Be welcomed into Mom's family and feel at home in her kitchenette. But Mom expects you to mind your manners, so don't be surprised if she tells you to keep your elbows off the table. It's all part of the old-fashioned fun and gentle ribbing that's served up along with the food.TV Tables and Tune-In LoungeFor a special treat at 50's Prime Time Café, grab a "TV Table" that seats up to 4 diners and has a television next to the table that broadcasts clips from popular prime time sitcoms circa 1955 including "Father Knows Best" and the original "Mickey Mouse Club."Bop into 50's Prime Time Café for lunch or dinner. Cocktails, wines by the glass and frosty beers are available from Mom for Guests 21 years of age and older, or relax in the Tune-In Lounge full-service bar and sip Dad's Electric Lemonade or Grandma's Picnic Punch. From the mid-50s knick-knacks and memorabilia that decorate this restaurant to the dessert menu displayed through viewfinder toys, nostalgia is the main ingredient at 50's Prime Time Café.
