50's Prime Time Café serves classic American comfort food in a TV-themed setting. The restaurant sits across from Echo Lake in Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. The 50's Prime Time Café menu includes family favorites like golden fried chicken, traditional meatloaf and pot roast, cooked the way Mom used to make it—that is, if Mom were a 1950s sitcom star.Be welcomed into Mom's family and feel at home in her kitchenette. But Mom expects you to mind your manners, so don't be surprised if she tells you to keep your elbows off the table. It's all part of the old-fashioned fun and gentle ribbing that's served up along with the food.TV Tables and Tune-In LoungeFor a special treat at 50's Prime Time Café, grab a "TV Table" that seats up to 4 diners and has a television next to the table that broadcasts clips from popular prime time sitcoms circa 1955 including "Father Knows Best" and the original "Mickey Mouse Club."Bop into 50's Prime Time Café for lunch or dinner. Cocktails, wines by the glass and frosty beers are available from Mom for Guests 21 years of age and older, or relax in the Tune-In Lounge full-service bar and sip Dad's Electric Lemonade or Grandma's Picnic Punch. From the mid-50s knick-knacks and memorabilia that decorate this restaurant to the dessert menu displayed through viewfinder toys, nostalgia is the main ingredient at 50's Prime Time Café.

50's Fun and Food, What More Could You Ask For

They treat you like family, kind of like my in-laws. And they offer all the foods from my childhood. Eat here overtime we are in DisneyWorld.

We went to the 50's diner on February 1, 2016. We had been before but this time Gary was our waiter. He was fabulous!!! I will ask for him next time. He was so accommodating, as we were with four kids, and even offered to let me sit inside with the three month old during the fireworks. The food was... More

We had a wonderful experience at the 50's Prime time Cafe. Our sever Byron, gave us the full family experience. Being treated like the annoying cousins visiting from out of town. Just like the travel books we had read said it would be. The food was the best we had during our week there. We had the sampler plate with... More

Our own server and viewing those around us gave us indication the the fun role playing by the servers is minimal and comes off as a burden for the servers for the little they do now. It used to be a highlight of the trip. The food is still pretty good but the portions are modest. However, the chicken pot... More

Oh my goodness! This was as much fun as the attractions and the food is unbelievably good! Uncle Gary was our "family" server and he was hilarious! Our 8 and 4 year old granddaughters cleaned their plates! A word of advice...if you don't like green peas, don't order the chicken pot pie. Don't get me wrong, it is delicious but... More

This is what ytou would expect at a restaurant popular in the 1950's. Formica or wood tables, black and white tile floor, easy to understand menu. Each table has a little TV playing snippets from TV shows popular in the 50s ad 60s. If you stay long enough, you'll see them all again. It's very popular with families and so... More

I made reservations for the cafe on Thursday, February 4, 2016, for Saturday, February 5, 2016, at 1:20 p.m. When we approached the cafe on Saturday it was raining at Hollywood Studios and there was a line out the door. A cast member stood out front of the marquee and informed us that standbys and people with reservations had to... More

We loved it! The classic design takes you back to your grandparents or even your own home growing up depending on your generation. The wait staff were hilarious acting like a parent reminding you to eat more, eat your veggies, etc. Food was ridiculously yummy! We were stuffed by the time we left.

If you are not into role-play, do not go here. The whole point of eating here is playing your part of being in the family. Loved the whole experience thoroughly. We played right into the waiter's plots. Makes their job more enjoyable and our eating experience was fun and memorable. Everything was sooooo yummy.

Good "homemade" food and fun atmosphere! Keep your elbows off the table and eat your veggies or the servers will tell mom :)
