My fiance and I came to eat here for our anniversary recently. We had attended a few networking events here in the past when it was DelFrisco's but had never had a full meal. We made reservations (highly recommend because they are consistently busy on...each week night) and were seated nicely right away in a nice booth. Our waiter was excellent and on top of everything including some excellent recommendations. Our food was all delicious as well and classic steakhouse quality where it's about simple ingredients but high quality. I would say it was a little dated-feeling decorwise, but fits the "steakhouse" vibe perfectly still and wasn't dirty or anything like that. The only con I would have is that on that evening we were hoping for a little bit of romantic environment and were seated next to two large tables that were quite loud so I can't say it was a quiet evening, but it was still wonderful!More

The dining experience here is top notch. There is a reason this long time establishment has built such a strong reputation. Luigi was top notch as our waiter - and did a great job convincing the table to order twice as much food as we...intended! All of his recommendations were on point and he was the perfect blend of attentive/ respectful. Out table had 5 apps and all were amazing. Calamari, Crab cakes and most of all the tuna were phenomenal. Fried oysters were very good - most of the table raved about them. The steaks were as you would expect - cooked perfectly. That said, I tried the dry aged ribeye, wet aged ribeye and the filet mignon. All good but I actually (surprisingly) liked the filet the most. I’m not a dessert fan usually but their orange cake is a must! And the chocolate moose is nothing to sneeze at. I will make it a point to eat here every time I’m in Orlando area (as long as I’m able to book a table!) no complaints at all with this place. Great establishment and well run business.More

At one time this was one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando when I ate there over the holidays was a bit off so I thought I would try it again and I couldn’t make a reservation the person answering the phone hung up on...me twice and when I did speak with her she had a real attitude so I made a reservation at Ruth Chris instead I would only recommend this restaurant if you don’t mind dealing with attitudeMore

I did a google search and this restaurant popped up. I called made reservations and was promptly greeted. I had a table of 6 and my server was Cameron. From start to finish, he was every last bit of a professional waiter. He knew the...menu, whine list and was Johnny on the spot from start to finish which is everything I would expect from this type of restaurant. Is it expensive? Maybe....I've spent far more in Las Vegas. My entire family said their food was excellent. My sister had the Tuna as an appetizer and wound up getting as a meal. It was that good. I was just ok with my dinner; however, I went out of my wheel house for dinner. My family loved the Tuna and the Crab Cakes were legit. Timing was perfect as well. I would go back again and would request the same server. Cameron made the experience worth coming back. The reason for the 4 star review is the child screaming in my ear. I DO NOT make reservations at this type of restaurant to listen to screaming kids. It was the first time I saw my younger sister in 7 years. Cameron, thanks for the great service. The rest of the staff should emulate you if they do not already. v/r ScottMore

From the moment that we pulled in until the moment we left, we were treated like royalty! The appetizers were delicious! We had lobster Mac n cheese, calamari and shrimp cocktail. For the entree, I went with the bone in ribeye and my wife had...the salmon. The steak was perfectly flavored! The staff were pleasant and very attentive and it was a very enjoyable dining experience!More

We had been to Bern's in Tampa a few times and that is truly a destination restaurant. But, last night be dined at Christner's and let's just say it was a step above Bern's. The atmosphere was inviting and warm, loved the dark paneled rooms...and chandeliers. Just what a fine dining steak house should be. Now, the best part was the menu. We had the ahi tuna appetizer and let's just say...AHI AHI. My husband who is truly a steak lover decided the ahi tuna will be on his plate next time we go. We ordered the USDA prime strip for two. Done perfectly for med./rare. They sliced it at the table and served it on HOT plates. All our sides were just as delicious. Broccoli was done perfectly and we also ordered the potatoes au gratin. We finished both sides. But, we did leave room for a dessert. We shared (4 of us) a piece of their signature Orange Cake. This was my first time for orange cake and 4 days later I'm still thinking about it. I'm still in heaven. If you are looking for a very special place and dinner Christner's will not disappoint.More

A year ago I wanted to take my girlfriend to a nice dinner - Christner's came highly recommended. However, the evening that we had available had no open reservations so we had to go somewhere else. I tried again this past weekend and got a...reservation at a convenient time. We arrived a little early and were taken right back to our table. The waiter was nice and friendly, but when we asked for water to drink he took the wine menu (I was going to look at wine after we decided what to order) I chose the Beef Wellington with house salad and baked potato. My girlfriend chose the Filet with Ceasar's salad. The bread was very good and the whipped butter had a very good, fresh taste. When the salads arrived she commented that the Ceasar was extremely salty. My house salad was good, but there was way too much dressing on it. When the main course arrived I found the Wellington to be only moderately seasoned and the dough was soggy on the bottom. The gravy supplied was very lumpy and unappealing. The gravy did taste good, however. My girlfriend only ate a little of her Filet as she couldn't handle the huge amount of black pepper it was cooked with (she's not one for sending food back, so I found this out later). The potato was huge and we only ate a little of it. We did take the leftovers home and when I reheated the Wellington I was able to crisp up the bottom of the pastry and it tasted better as a leftover than the fresh meal. I ate the Filet later, since she couldn't eat it and found that the amount of pepper was way too much. Overall the atmosphere was nice and the waiter was helpful, but I would never return if this is normal for the restaurant. Christner's is very upscale, as advertised, and priced, but the food quality just didn't meet my expectations.More

Ambiance was fine - food was very disappointing. We ordered a cheese platter for appetizer which was really a mistake - cheese was from Publix - chunks of yellow cheddar, pepper jack, and swiss - probably store brand with Carrs water crackers. Not good at...all for $16.00. My steak was very mediocre and my wife's lamb for $68 was a huge disapointment - very gamey taste and quite boring. My dessert - a big chocolate layer cake would have been great if it were fresh but this one was a day or two old already. Nice room - kind of spoiled by a very loud drunken man.More

First time here but certainly not our last. We were seated in a beautiful quiet dining room (we did get there early as we had heard it gets quite noisy later on) and were served immediately by our very pleasant and professional server, Alec. We...started with good sized cocktails and were not at all rushed to place our order. We ended up ordering our appetizers to go with the cocktails and wine - a very plentiful plate of fried oysters and a crab cake. Both were outstanding. Then we tried their highly rated lobster bisque which was one of the best we have ever had. Oh, did I mention the delicious warm bread brought to our table? For main courses, I ordered the Ahi Tuna and DH had the Salmon. Both were absolutely delicious and served perfectly seasoned and were enough for four people. Finally, since we were celebrating my birthday, we were given a very tasty dessert of warm bread pudding in a whisky sauce. Perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Our server, Alec, was supurb, taking great care of us without being obtrusive. He was simply "the best" as was our entire meal. We will get to enjoy it again since we ended up taking several boxes home:)More

We visit Christners at least twice a month and have NEVER had a bad experience. Consistently top notch, you simply cant go wrong here. Grouper bites are amazing, tuna (yes -tuna at a steakhouse when its this good) is fantastic and the steaks are cooked...and seasoned perfectly every single time. Kevin "POPS" is our favorite server- pops rocks.More

We reserved an early time as we are still uneasy about dining inside due to the pandemic. We arrived and were promptly seated in a corner booth as requested. My wife enjoyed the calamari appetizer and a big filet bone in steak. I savored a...small filet Pittsburgh style. As normal on her birthday there was a orange cream cake with ice cream that we shared and could not finish. The home mad bread was up to par and I just wish they sold the butter they use. It is Grassland, but they add something to it. Our waiter was Dustin who was super attentive.More

Very classy from start to finish. The decor is upscale steakhouse. The service was attentive without being overbearing. The food was excellent. Standouts for me were the shrimp appetizer with various sauces and the beef Wellington was spectacular, cooked perfectly and a huge portion. The...bill can definitely add up, but splurge every once and a while.More
