This is a great little hole in the wall place popular with locals. They specialize in several meats each day with various side options (white or yellow rice, beans, plantains etc...)
The entrees average 8-9$ for a very large portion.
I will be back.
This is as hole in the wall as it gets...but it does offer some very very good Cuban style food. Parking is kind of a hassle. Atmosphere is pretty basic, grab and go kind of spot. The food is delicious and fresh and they give...you a whole heap of it in your to-go container. They have all the cuban staples. This is a go to lunch spot for all the workers around the area. Over all ..... very good. Definitely a bang for your buck.More
We arrived shortly after 11 am and lunch was set up. The Cuban sandwich for $4.75 was outstanding--I've had none better. The bread so crusty and the huge portions of meets and cheese all smashed from the press into a glorious meal large enough for...2. But we didn't stop there, on to plantains, yellow rice, chicken noodle soup, Roma vieja, and fried sea bass. Total meal including flan and 2 drinks a total of $28
This cafe has some of Orlando. friendliest staff-- they were all smiles and eagerness to please the stream of locals, office workers, uniformed military members and of course my husband and myself just happy tourists seeking the "real" food the locals enjoy.More
This is not the Versailles restaurant chain (wrong website linked on TripAdvisor today). It is an authentic Cuban Momma y Papa dive. This is the kind of food I would expect if we were in a Cuban American home. Don't expect impressive decor. Don't even...expect clean tables. Expect great food for a great price. 2 adults and two preschoolers for $23 after a 20% tip!More
Basic traditional cuban fare, all the favorites are offered. Great Cuban coffee and pastries next door at the caffe. Restaurant way overrated. We don't usually eat there due to how crowded it gets by the usual tourist sheep following reviews. we frequent it once a...year or so and this weekend it was busy all the time. if you are in town visiting I guess is a must to due to tis historical, cultural and traditional significance. Best thing to do is to order the Cuban Sandwich which most of time can't miss. The rest of the menu if actually pretty boring to cuban locals. Gramma can do it better at home.
This is a good thing that went too big, too fast and too popular.More
Their ceviche with sweet potato chips is amazing!!! Ive literally taken a plane just to get some! And the bakery next door (also part of the property) best guava pastelillos ever! And the rum cake??! To die for!
I come to this lttle place all the time on my lunch break. Ive never really had cuban food before. Everyone in my office is raving about this place. So i gave it a try! Im addicted! Every kind of food ive tried there is...amazing! The prices are really affordable! The meal portions are quite large and i always have leftovers. You will not be disappointed, give them a try!More
