Experience A Land Remembered steakhouse, a AAA Four Diamond restaurant located at Rosen Shingle Creek hotel. True to the Florida-themed nature of the hotel, the restaurant is named after Melbourne, Florida writer Patrick Smith's award-winning novel featuring historic moments and landscapes of the state's evolution. Here you will find Executive Chef Jorge Oliveira and his team proudly serving Harris Ranch all Natural Prime Black Angus Beef and fresh seafood, as well as a variety of menu items catering to all tastes. Sample from regional specialties such as Little Creek Frog Legs or Gator Chowder. Complement entrees with a side such as Baked Sweet Potato with Honey Butter or Gator Drool Beer Braised Collard Greens. Indulge in Chocolate Mousse Cake or a variety of dessert shots. Delicious Food and Excellent Service

This is not a "fancy" restaurant, but it is on the high-end price wise and my husband booked a table here for my birthday and both the food and service were outstanding. I had the seafood bowl which was lobster, fish, prawns etc. and was delicious. My husband and sister who was visiting from England both had steaks which were cooked perfectly to order and my sister said she had never had a steak that good! It was a quiet mid-week evening and we really enjoyed the meal and ambiance. I'm looking forward to visiting again!

A truly excellent restaurant in a sea of mediocrity!

The wife and I ate here to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. Our serving team was Kareem and Simi - both were attentive and funny creating a nice atmosphere. Though sangria is not on the drink menu, they had the bar create one for us that was amazing. The lobster bisque was my appetizer and it was perfect with healthy chunks of lobster. For the main course, I opted for the filet and lobster which was cooked to perfection. The wife settled on the pork chop and was very happy with her choice. The restaurant was busy but never loud and does have a lot of golf groups in it due to its location. We will definitely be back again.

We went last Saturday and chose from the Magical Dining menu. The venue is upscale casual. I was comfortable in nice khaki's and a dress shirt. Dress varied from gentlemen in coats to golf attire. The food was very good. We enjoyed the lobster bisque which had chunks of lobster in it. The wedge salad wasn't a wedge at all but, in fact, much better. The filet was perfectly prepared and came with a slice of fried green tomato, mashed potatoes and two sprigs of asparagus. It was delicious. Desert was the chocolate mousse which was fine. However, it was our server Simo that made the night extraordinary. We eat at fine dining establishments everywhere we go and Simo provided the best service we've had in quite a while. THAT makes a difference and we tipped him quite well because of it. I give this place my total endorsement.

Lovely Steak Dinner

The atmosphere was perfect, the server knowledgable and very friendly, and the food very good. The basket with light cheese covered bread and alligator butter was a perfect start. Appetizers of a steak bruschetta for my husband and seared tuna for me were perfect. The tuna had a perfect combination of chili, avocado, and slaw. The bruschetta was unique with perfectly cooked tender steak. For dinner my husband chose the cauliflower steak with vegetables and I the filet rare with collard greens. All was lovely, fresh, and very good.

ITS NOT WORTH IT !!!

Visited her for a lunch with my family and was very disappointed. Was served chicken wings that were still frozen, rest of the food was very poor quality and almost all of it was cold. It has a premium look from the outside but is nothing special inside. One word for the management team AWFUL!!!!!

This was our first time at this restaurant. We were blown away. The dinner service was spectacular. Especially Kareem. Rolls and butter are served before your meal and the butter is in the shape of little alligators. So fitting for Florida. We ordered the Ancho-Rubbed Salmon, Filet Mignon, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus. It was the best salmon I’ve ever had. And my husband loved the filet. The potatoes were served in a mini cast iron pan so they were hot during the whole meal. And it was my first time trying asparagus and I now love it. We can’t wait to go back!

Good food, but service lagged at the end

Ate here on a Thursday evening with a group of about 12 coworkers. It's an upscale steakhouse with prices to match. I had a red wine, filet mignon, and a side of asparagus with hollandaise. Filet was very tender and a good portion. The asparagus side was generous and could have served several people. Others in our group ordered everything from salads, soup, sea bass to prime rib and lobster mac and cheese. I would have rated them higher but the service was a little odd toward the end. We waited a long time to flag down our server to get the check (it was almost as if they forgot about us) and even he was asking if we wanted anything else rather than if we were ready for the check. Good expense account restaurant but I probably wouldn't pay that much for a la carte steakhouse fare on my own.

Well worth it for a special dinner!

Great dinner. We enjoyed this restaurant last night with our 15 and 19 year old sons. Dinner was fantastic, service was exceptional. We all had steak, highly recommend the filet. The Cesar salad was also delish. The crab cake was basically all crab, no breading. For dessert we had the chocolate mouse cake and banana caramel cheesecake - so glad we did! Meal was pricey at $380 including 2 wines, 2 cocktails but worth it. We had the spa-taculer hotel package at the Rosen shingle creek which was $299 / night and included a massage or facial plus 25% off the restaurants. We the 25% off came in handy at this dinner. Covered 20% gratuity and 5% discount on the food.

Came here for Anniversary dinner. Service was amazing. Orderes chateaubriand for 2 and it was amazing. We live in Orlando and there are very few authentic or non chain restaurants. Thus this place is a gem. Take a walk around the hotel also if you never have.

Great Menu

We came for an early dinner while stating at Shingle Creek. Since we were not really very hungry, we chose to have soup, salad and three appetizers, which were all good sized portions. Our server, Hannah, was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us good suggestions. A very nice meal.

excellent food and superb service

We ate here using the magical dining menu. Each of our courses came quickly. We all liked the various bread items served with the meal. The bisque was excellent. The steak was a large portion at the requested temperature. The swordfish was juicy and cooked perfectly. The restaurant was crowded but food came out at appropriate intervals. This is a restaurant I will ty again during the year. Service was excellent.

Holy goodness-literally the BEST steak I've ever had

This place was part of a pre-conference trip I got to attend with my hubby, and wow I was blown away by the food. Everything-with the exception of the salad, which just was not to my taste, was phenomenal and I'm quite sure I will never eat another filet mignon again and not think of the buttery smoothness to which the one I was served here was prepared. * I did manage to offend one of our waitresses because I didn't want her to take my fork with the salad. She very patiently explained to me I would get another one-who knew you get 4 at such a fancy place? ;)

My friends and I went there as I had seen a menu in the hotel website we were staying at. As I'm VERY allergic to NUMEROUS things, I was intrigued. The chef came to the table to confirm my allergies and ensure I could eat what I was looking at. The meal was FANTASTIC and it was free of all my allergies (wheat, soy, garlic, onions, and lemon). Although I ordered an appetizer, it was plenty of food for me. My friends shared the pork chop dinner (it was huge!). If we are ever back in the area, I will certainly visit agin!!

We ate at A Land Remembered. We thought we were getting an upscale dining experience of the kind that normally comes with the AAA four-diamond rating. Pictures showed a dining room with tablecloths. That wasn't the case for our experience. Instead, we had the woven placemats that were barely cleaned and sanitized between guests. The wine list is impressive. The food menu is okay but the execution is on par with an Outback, not the fine dining restaurant in a self-professed luxury hotel. There also wasn't an enforced dress code. The service was average but not refined in the way you expect for AAA four-diamond. Our waitress never poured wine from our opened bottles, as an example. Overall, we wouldn't return. Capital Grille, located a short drive away, is much better.

Amazing food and service!

Amazing food and service. All of our steaks were great quality and cooked to perfection. The lobster mac and cheese is a must try as well as the strawberry shortcake and bread pudding desserts. Perfection! We try to visits The Lovely Rosen Shingle Creek whenever we’re on Orlando. Worth every penny!
