The atmosphere is flawless for those seeking a down to earth, real Irish pub experience. The booths are cozy and well decorated, and the bar area is adequate. It's not the largest space, but definitely not the smallest, either.
I was greeted the second I...sat down, and within minutes I had a drink and some crab and shrimp chowder (absolutely delicious) in front of me. I had a pint of Guinness, which had that light, airy quality which I've only experienced when I was actually in Ireland several years back.
Main course consisted of a simple, rustic steak and mushroom pie. It was topped with a light, puff pastry crust and a hearty broth. It came with a fresh roll and filled me up almost instantly. I was full at that point, but didn't want to miss out on their dessert, the bread pudding. Served warm as it should be and absolutely delicious!
I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty deserted, which was nice. I got the impression it gets very busy, but I can't comment on those times. So, for a tasty soup, filling main entrée, dessert, and a fresh pint of Guinness, the total was $32.00 before tip. For a downtown Orlando restaurant, not too bad at all! I will definitely be returning.More
