Home style cooking, small restaurant. Friendly staff. We ordered carne asada, ample food quantity. Filling..you can use spicey sauce.

My parents and I decided to have dinner here on Sunday on a whim because the restaurant we were originally planning to go to which was next door was packed. The place is a small hole in the wall that seemed to be family-oriented and...good for a quick bite. It was very hot especially being the middle of summer but we decided to stay in order some food. We were immediately greeted by our server which handed has menus and brought us our drinks (Agua de Piña) in a timely manner. We ordered and shortly after the 1st part of our food arrived and the 2nd half was brought to us by a different server. As far as the food goes the plates looked pretty and we're garnished beautifully (although they were on disposable but that wasn't a big deal) I had 2 tacos. I had a carnitas & al pastor taco. The carnitas taco was delish! The Al pastor needed a bit more seasoning. As far as the entrees we all ended up getting the carne asada meal. It came with beans topped with cheese, rice and salad topped with pico de gallo. We also got a ton of tortillas which was a plus! Again the food needed a little bit more seasoning but nothing some salt, lime and hot sauce couldn't fix. Our original server dissapeared so the other server that brought the rest of our meal was actually taking care of us and even made some short conversation with us over hot sauce and asked if we were okay which we replied yes and we appreciated that. The reason why I gave this place a 1-star was because of our original server. She never told us her name so I can't put her name here but she was thin and had glasses. Throughout the meal my parents and I were having a conversation about an experience that I had at a different restaurant and how "grossed out" I was about my experience. The check came and the second server that was very nice cleared our table. We signed our check and got ready to leave when our original server walks up to the table and storms behind me without saying excuse me and snatches the tortilla container and says behind my back "If you didn't like the food you should have told me" needless to say my parents and I had no idea what was going on. We're not really sure why she would even make that comment. We noticed that she was clearly upset as she stormed into the kitchen and we asked the other server what was wrong and what had just happened and even she was clueless as she shrugged her shoulders. The girl walks out of the kitchen and stands by the register so now I'm upset. I see her and I ask her what the problem is. We had no idea why she had an attitude to which she claims "there was no problem, all I'm saying is if you didn't like the food you should have just told me" my parents told her that we weren't even talking about the food at that moment and that the conversation wasn't about that to which I responded that they didn't even have to clear that up with her. As a paying customer (because we had just paid) you don't approach your customers in such a manner. I told her that was very rude of her and mean to come to our table and say that without knowing what was going on. And if she really wanted to know what was going on she should have asked a different way because that's not how you address someone. She walks to our table and continues to go back and forth with me about how she wasnt being rude and "she was just saying" and vaguely apologized to my parents and said to them that she was sorry that it came out like she had an attitude like I said she had to which I responded that yeah she did! She clearly had a nasty attitude about something that had nothing to do with the restaurant or herself. She wasn't the one that cleared our table so how would you even know if we liked the food or not? Shee just overheard our conversation and decided to place herself in the middle of something that was basically none of her business. The worst part about it is that she kept arguing with me about how she wasn't being rude and how she didn't have an attitude, that she was just saying that if we didn't like the food we should have told her but the way she addressed us in front of the other server and the rest of the people in the restaurant was unacceptable. I usually don't argue with people at a restaurant but just seeing her reaction and her attitude was enough for me to react and stand up for myself and my parents who were also at the table with me. I really wish the owner was there at the moment but I had just seen her leave a few minutes before this situation happened. Yes we paid and yes we tipped and this will also be the first and last time we come here and we will also not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Teach the young servers how to treat your customers as it seems alot of people enjoy Bugambilias. She really made this experience go from good to horrible in a matter of seconds because she wanted to be nosey and be rude to a customer. All she had to do was approach our table and ask how everything was going. Kudos to the other young girl that was there and served us. She was a sweetheart and very well mannered. She really deserved our tip not the original server who didn't keep up with our table and had an attitude over our conversation and decided to argue with us. What a shame...More

Decided to eat here after a trip to Florida Mall. It’s located a little ways from tourist area, security bars covering entire front and door. Everything made fresh. Best chicken quesadillas we’ve had! Chicken enchiladas had great flavor! House special- chorizo was the best of...all the meat. Flan was silky smooth, churros newly made and fried. Big portions, excellent price!More

The best authentic Mexican restaurant in Orlando, by far!!!! Try their soups also! They are not located in a tourist zone but well worth the drive.

There are lot a lot of reviews because this is the best kept secret around. The friendliest staff, outstanding food, and really reasonable prices. Don’t judge this book by its cover. Note that they are closed on Tuesday. One of my favorite lunch places!!!

Don't judge this restaurant by its exterior... The chef prepares amazing, authentic Mexican cuisine that you'd expect if you were in Mexico! Ordered the Carne Asada and literally cleaned my plate. Rest of my family loved theirs too, even our teenagers. It is family run...and they make everything on site, including an assortment of seasonal fruit drinks. Try the mango or hibiscus! We love food, not sustenance prepared at chain restaurants.... Bugambilias will not disappoint!More
