This was my first time to this family owner restaurant that was featured on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I did not see the episode but was guided by my server who pointed out a few of the items he ate. The menu is...very nice, and they do serve a limited selection of alcohol. The interior is older than you might expect, and they have a larger “function dining area” to the right as you enter. The night we dined there were four of about 8 patrons in the place.
Our order started with the Saigon Appetizer Combo ($13) - Summer Rolls (2), Spring Rolls (2) and Shrimp Paste (4 cubes), served with peanut sauce and house special mixed fish sauce. Our entrees were the C10 Sautéed Cube Beef ($13) - Rice platter with cubed beef stir fried in special garlic & butter sauce (Guy Item), K2 Clear Noodle Stir Fried Combo ($13) - Stir Fried Clear Noodle combo with vegetables and chicken and the K5 Pad Thai Beef ($11) - Pad Thai noodles with bean sprouts, eggs, peanut and beef different with rice noodles not wide ones
What I Liked:
- The service was excellent, and portions were a decent size. Our main server was very engaging and knowledgeable.
- The shrimp paste on the appetizer sampler was the bomb. I never had it before and found it to be excellent, and worked well with the fish sauce side
- The summer and spring rolls were average tasting
- All entrees looked very fresh and appealing, which was confirmed by the excellent flavor
- C10 has very tender beef
- K2 worked well with the chicken
- K5 did not have the traditional wide Thai noodles but was very good
- The food was not too salty which is usually a problem in Asian cuisine
What I Did Not Like:
- They brought our main course items out before the Pho, so I asked them at that point to cancel the order. It would have worked best either with, or right after the appetizer.
Overall, it was a very good experience and a place we will miss until we return to the area next year! A couple days later we drove by at and the outside looked very colorful all light up.More
