We ordered to go. Got 3 of the 12 inch Cuban sandwiches. The sandwiches were delicious. My only complaint is that they had more ham than the roasted pork.

A pretty cool roadside restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating with a menu much bigger than any of the big chain restaurants. The employees are very friendly and accommodating. I had a good old fashioned BLT and it really hit the spot.... There are many...different subs and Cuban sandwiches available and sides as well.. You should check it out 👍👍More
Poor there was More Bread than Meat . I Ordered a Cuban Mix. That Orange Sauce on the left photo I took from there menu I was Charged 1.50 . It should come with the bread when asked and not be charge for 1. If...you look The Cuban Mix is supposed to have PORK, HAM, PEPPERONI, SALAMI, mayo, Mustard, Cheese and Pickle … This IS NOT WHAT I HAD ASKED FOR AND PAID FOR .More
Four of us stopped here after being over at Blue Springs to see the manatees, which we thought was the most amazing thing, but then to have lunch at the Tropi Shack added amazing to amazing. We all absolutely loved what we had, especially the...Cuban wrap with the beans and rice upgrade. So good, and so worth the stop. You won't regret it!More
First time coming here. Perfect weather for sitting outside. I got the 8 inch Jibarito Cuban, my girlfriend the 6 inch Chorizo Cuban, and grilled cheese for her daughter. Definitely a lot of options, so it's going to take a while to work our way...through the menu. The place was super clean and they even have toys for the kids to play outside (nice touch). For dessert I got the small Butterfinger waffle cone, which was actually bigger than I expected and my girl got the mango Häagen-Dazs sherbert. Good food and didn't break the bank!More
Great surprise for lunch! Stopped on our way home from Blue Springs star park. Ate outside at the picnic tables. Huge selection of Cuban sandwiches and Hot Dogs! I had a traditional Cuban which was very good and very crispy. My husband had the NYC...dog and a side of fresh Cole slaw. Decorated so cute with a tropical flair. Also had homemade ice cream but we were full. We will be back!More
Cuban sandwich was excellent, plenty of meat. Coleslaw was good too. Service ver fast and courteous. This is a hidden gem.
For a few years, I drove by Tropi Shack on 17-92 and saw their sign proclaiming the “Best Cuban Sandwiches.” Then we decided to give it a try. Tropi Shack’s menu lists 28 varieties of “Cuban” sandwiches; we asked for the “original” Cuban sandwich. Well,...we were disappointed for several reasons: the pork, ham and cheese were very skimpy---only one very thin slice of roast pork; there were no (or just a few skimpy) dill slices; the mustard, like everything else was tasteless. I’ve had much better Cubanos in Tampa and Miami. Tropi Shack failed to live up to its hype.More
Recommend by a friend as having THE BEST Cuban sandwiches, I visited despite it’s very low key side of 17-92 appeal. He was RIGHT! There are more choices than you could ever imagine! My kid enjoys the classic Cuban, while I prefer the one with...horseradish. It’s a very small restaurant, with outside seating. The combos are amazing and they have authentic tropical fruit ice creams! So whether you’re stopping by for lunch, brunch, dinner or just desserts, it beats any fast food place by any unit of measure! We stop by about once a month and this place is always a good choice. The place is family owned and it’s a great local restaurant to support. A+ for Good service!More
Recommended by a friend. I was told they have the best Cuban sandwiches anywhere. Now I see why....Fresh, creative sandwich choices. You have to try the special sweet/spicy rice and black beans. Small place. Walk up service but a great place. Very good prices.
We were driving by and decided to stop. We try to avoid chain restaurants, especially when on vacation. So glad we stopped. The owner was so pleasant and helpful. My hubs enjoys Cuban sandwiches, and that is the speciality here. He ordered the one with...a “twist”. He said it was delicious. I had the philly. Really really good. Our child had a hot dog and milk shake, and enjoyed every bite. It looks like a “dive” from the outside, but well worth the stop. Need to tell Guy Fieri about this place.More
The food is good, but average. Subs can be made how you like it, a good thing for picky eaters. Also, ice cream!
Fantastic Cuban sandwiches, and delicious sweet and spicy beans and rice. Everything is homemade and tasty. Be sure to check they are open if you plan to come near closing time as they tend to close early in the winter months.
Obsessed with the rice and beans, my son loves the chili dog and husband the cuban. Be prepared to wait though. Even if we call our order in we get there and wait.
We stopped for take out Cuban sandwiches for lunch at nearby Blue Springs State Park. Delicious. We even stopped back for ice cream on our way home. Owner and daughter were great.
