This Italian style trattoria will remind you of many small, trendy restaurants in the Northern regions of Italy. It's brightly lit yet cozy with a warm ambience. We were greeted by a smiling server who made us feel like we had been here before. A...serving of bread (slightly stale) and toppings was brought to the table as soon as we were seated. A large selection of wine by the glass or bottle was presented and we chose an excellent Montepulciano, something not offered at most restaurants. We were told about the specials for the evening before perusing the interesting menu. Listed with the appetizers were Venetian meatballs, a blend of salamis and cheese topped with crispy sage in a buttery sauce. It you want to surprise your brain and tantalize your taste buds, don't miss them! I am a veal fan and wanted to try the veal Marsala which was not available on that evening so chose the chicken instead. I requested a side of angel hair pasta with olive oil and garlic. My dining mate chose the seafood ravioli special. After splitting a house salad (the greens were a little "tired"), our perfectly timed entrees were served. My large portion of chicken was in an excellent sauce... the pasta a little disappointing and small in portion. The ravioli was very good but a bit chewy around the edges. We chose to pass on dessert and coffee but will try them on our next visit. Yes, we will return. Service was attentive, non-obtrusive and excellent.More

Small and intimate restaurant with outstanding dishes. Recommend their pasta with duck, their appetizer "pate" and anything on their daily specials. Fabio cooks himself in the small kitchen and you are guaranteed a great experience and a wonderful dinner.

4 of us went last night based on the TV review on PBS. We were concerned it would be very crowded at&PM on a saturday. NOT. We sat i=outside and after waiting a while to be served the food was marginal at best the comments...ranged from B to C. Two notable disasters. The dinners came out together and it took another 5 minutes for the fort..Spaghetti Carbanara. The aps were good We all agreed . The second disaster was actually the first. The waitress came out to ask us if we wanted dessert......the food had not even been served. They were quick to keep the wine flowing but my water glass not so much. At the end of the evening we spoke to the manager....she was marginally responsive and offered us NO compensation. My Carbanara was more a paste than a creamy sauce. Very few peas and almost no pepper....two key components to a good carbanara. OH well live and learn....not af=gain. Worst $180 meal ever for 4 people and only two had wine.More

Dear Tomac108, we are sorry to hear of your disappointing experience. Many patrons have come to our restaurant after viewing the show. Unfortunately, many are not accustom to Northern Italian Cuisine. For example, no cream or peas are used in our carbonara - instead, we...More

Disappointing dinners. Reality nothing like its presentation on 'Check Please'. Minimal wait staff and the food not prepared as ordered. Tasteless or over spiced. Desserts and coffee also disappointing. Significantly overpriced. Tasty bread and ample parking the reason for 2 stars. In preference, would suggest...a tasty pizza.More

Dropped by for tapas and a glass of wine and was pleasantly surprised that octopus was the special appetizer of the night. Delicious --a gourmands delight! Well worth the visit. The wait staff was pleasant and knowledgeable

From the moment we arrived and were personally greeted by the owner/chef Fabio to the delicious dessert we capped the evening with, it was perhaps the best Italian meal served in this area. Inventive ingredients and sauces are the specialty, with the emphasis on what's...fresh and available locally. All fish dishes are fresh, never frozen. the Italian speciality dishes are "homemade" using family recipes. The ambiance is low lighting with soft music. The wine selection is primarily Italian and the chef can suggest pairings to suit any taste. Don't pass up this new gem in the area!More

Small, interesting, with good sturdy Italian food and a knowledgeable waitstaff. Dinners are generous and are served with delicious sauced pastas. Especially recommended is the unique meatball appetizer and the chicken Marsala with pasta carbonara. Ask to meet Fabio if he’s in the kitchen-he’s charming!!
