Olde World has a unique style that is unexpected when you drive up. The inside is clean with a friendly staff. Waitress Tina was an excellent server and the food came out quickly. The food was very delicious and not pricey. Worth the 1 1/2...hour trip from my home. Will definitely come back.More

Breakfast: food microwaved cold/warm. You know the taste; warm outside & cold inside. Biscuits rubbery/microwaved. 2nd time for this chef’s disappointing meal. Notified the management/chef the first time this happened 4 wks ago. Nothing has changed, except for one thing- we won’t be back.

When we 1st moved to Florida we visited this restaurant several times. They had a great menu. They had lots of food named after different celebrities like the Tina tuna. That was one of my favourites. It was a great open face tuna sandwich warm....But recently we went to the restaurant and we were not happy at all. It has probably been about 10 years since we have been to that restaurant. I ordered Some Snitzel and potatoes and gravy. We go out to eat a lot so we know the difference between pre packaged stuff and homemade stuff. We also used to cruise a lot before the pandemic and we know good food. When we had this food, particularly the potatoes and gravy it tasted like powdered potatoes that you would make at home and powdered gravy that you just mix up with water and throw on top. I used to use that a lot when I was 1st married and we didn't have a lot of money and I used to buy powdered potatoes and gravy all the time period the flavor is very distinct. I looked at my husband and he looked at me and we both said the same thing it was powdered potatoes and gravy. I don't know what happened. Maybe the restaurant went through a lot of changes after the pandemic. The menu was definitely smaller than it used to be and they did not have a lot of the stuff on it that they used to have 10 years ago. But I have to say that we will probably never go back to this restaurant again unfortunately. The food just did not taste good and for the price it was not worth it. My children were not impressed either. We also never saw the waiter. He was hardly ever around. He did have a mass gone I will say but the mask was well below his nose and barely covered his mouth. That did not bother me but I know that it might bother some other people. If you going to wear one at least where it properly. We hardly ever got any refills on our drinks. We had to pretty much search the person out to get them. The table wobbled horribly. We looked for another table and it was the same. The table was also being held up by a block of folded dirty napkins. 🤢More

Made to wait 10 minutes before our waiter acknowledged us. My girlfriend asked for a drink menu and was told they have them but was asked what she wanted. Asking for a drink menu a second time and the waiter was gone for an additional...five minutes we got up and left. And went to Longhorn where we were greeted and taken care of in a timely, friendly manner.More

We were introduced to Olde World probably 13 years ago and have been going there ever since. It's usually our after church Sunday brunch destination. There menu items have interesting names based on the Robin Hood Sherwood Forest theme. I usually get the the "Time...for Prime" prime rib and my wife is a fan of the Stromboli Omelet. We're creatures of habit. We highly recommend them!More

Family lives in North Port; so this was a convenient and worthwhile restaurant to visit. Not disappointed with food, service or prices.

We have been coming to Olde World regularly since 2000 and have always enjoyed their breakfast. But this past weekend we had the worst customer service and will not go back. During the pandemic, you would think food safety would be a priority, but it...wasn't to our server Laura during this visit. After placing our order, we were talking and I looked over and saw the table next to us appeared to be getting our food. I order ala carte so the odds of someone getting exactly the same thing was pretty rare. As the kitchen staff laid out the entire meal on the table, the patrons moving the plates around, etc. the people sitting there told the staff this wasn't their food. So the server came over and said no its not, took the food and put it back on the tray and then proceeded to bring it over to us after being touched by the other patrons. As if that wasn't enough of an issue, I told the server we did not want that food since it had already been handled by the other patron. Laura proceeded to argue with me and flat out lie and say the food was never on the table nor touched by the other patrons, I said we watched the entire thing fold out and she continued to say it never was served. At that point I was furious with the entire incident, we paid for the drinks and left. Absolutely appalling the entire incident. Bad enough they attempted to re-serve the food, but to flat out lie about it and say we didn't see what we just watched was insulting.More

Dinner tonight at The Olde World Restaurant was excellent. This being Wednesday, us locals know this is the traditional Slow Cooked Pot Roast night, this popular dish is chuck full of flavor, a generous portion so tender that no knife was needed. It is accompanied...by fresh peeled mashed potatoes with house made gravy, an ample portion. A cool crisp crunchy garden salad was served before the main course, the salad dressings are all house made and are so good they’ll leave you wanting more. Our server, Lynn was on point from the time she greeted us right through our meal, she’s is truly an asset to the restaurant. With Covid-19 the Olde World gets huge accolades for doing everything right to keep their dining Guests and Staff safe. We all commented how safe we felt and that we can’t wait to return for another 5 star dining experience. 🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠 When we can’t wait to return, we know it was was a very special experience. Thank you, LYNN for making us all feel safe during these challenging Covid-19 times. The Team at Olde World Restaurant certainly deserve your continued Support.More

It had been years since we ate at this restaurant but, after reading many reviews of their fish dinner, we decided to return. We were greeted and seated immediately by the friendly hostess. Our waitress, Laurie, proved knowledgeable, competent and friendly. We'd come for the...fish dinner but, on entering, saw a sign for a special all you could eat dinner for a dollar extra. We decided to save a buck and the regular dinner consisting of 3 - 4 pieces of fish was more than ample. A bit about the fish - it was very flavorful, but greasy, like it could have been better drained. My wife enjoyed her salad, saying it was cold and crisp, rather than warm and limp. The star of the meal for me, though, was the New England Clam Chowder. I really enjoy a good clam chowder and this was it - very thick and creamy with few potatoes and lots of clam pieces. Unfortunately, they only serve it on Fridays. Our next trip will have to be on a Friday.More

As far as I know they do not have outdoor seating, however, they have a lot of square footage and I'm sure you could be seated observing social distancing guidelines.
