We loved Cantina Captiva so much we had to stop for dinner twice over a 5 day trip. The service was fantastic both times. I had the shrimp enchiladas (so much shrimp!) and my husband had the chicken fajitas. Everything was delish. My husband liked the salsa so much they gave him some to go. Don't skip this place. It... Leaving the beach we happened by this place. Dollar bills stapled to every inch of the building. We had the chicken tacos that were very good. Had a few too many margaritas that were also very good.

The Cantina is my go to place. Had dinner one night, and returned the next evening for a couple of margarita's and to catch the football game (knew they would have a particular game on). The burrito was good, salsa fresh, and margarita's pretty good too. Service is great.

We ordered take out one night and order was easy and ready on time. The food is average nothing special. The guacamole was not fresh and super spicy. The skirt steak was cooked well however with little flavor as it was not seasoned as mentioned in the menu. Rice and beans is good and got nice portions. The chicken fajita... More

The place was very cute, and the service was fine....it just was standard, bad Mexican food. The margaritas were super sweet and not strong. We knew when we walked in that this was not going to be very good, but we were at the end of a long walk and we were tired and hungry. It was very inexpensive, and... More

Our last visit the outdoor seating area had a cool covering it. Like vines and such. They took that down and now it's more open. We chose to dine indoors. We heard that knew ownership has taken place. Our food was great and waiter was attentive, however we felt rushed. The last bite of food and they scoop your plate... More

I'd been craving a margarita so when we passed this place I asked to stop. Walked inside to see the dollar bills stapled everywhere and fell in love. The margaritas were awesome, service good, and there's now a permanent memorial to our visit stapled on one of the walls. Will surely be back!

We love Mexican food, and eat at a lot of great restaurants. This is not one of them. However, it's okay. Particularly for the price, which compared to other choices on Captiva, is not bad. Salsa is very bland. Add some salt, and ask for some hot sauce to wake it up. Queso is good, but not traditional Mexican queso... More

The dollar bills stapled to every surface are definitely the draw here. Our server was very nice and stopped to chat with us for a few minutes when we asked about the significance of the money. The food was relatively bland and none of us left feeling stuffed, but it was edible and was the least expensive (which doesn't translate... More
