Great time, best waittress

We stopped in for lunch and sat in the corner at the bar. The waitress (sorry can't remember her name) was fantastic. She was like talking to an old friend. We ate, had some beers and good conversation. The food was better than the price suggested. A great "find", thanks for the hospitality!

We stopped for a light bite to eat. The food was fair but the scenery was wonderful. This little pub serves food and you sit outdoors with the beach air surrounding you. Sea grass, sand and sunshine are part of the charm. If you want more formal you should probably go somewhere else.

Water view dining inside or outside. Had the barbecue bacon wrapped shrimp which a friend had recommended. It was wonderful. They have a wide variety of other seafood dishes. Nice atmosphere and will return.

Stopped by the Mucky Duck right before sunset to get drinks to take to the beach. Although the line was long for the outdoor bar, it moved fast and we were on the beach for sunset. What a location to spend an evening!

We were always resistant to going to the Mucky Duck because we figured service and food would be just average because of the high "tourist factor" Boy were we wrong! The Mucky Duck IS a tourist meal destination but we were impressed by both food and service We would have no quacks about returning for another meal.

Outdoors at dinner, people congregate, or more accurately throng, the substantial outdoor seating and outdoor bar, with live music to add to the atmosphere. But the real star it the sun and people are there to watch it set. Food outdoors is limited ... appetizers that you order inside and take out when you are ready. Can't find a place... More

Great place to see the sunset and grab a drink but the food and staff leave much to be desired. We found the food to be extremely disappointing and the wait staff couldn't really care less. My guess is that management knows they have the prime spot on the island and can just go through the motions and still attract... More

Previously ate here last year, and three times this visit. Great location on the beach, with seating inside or out, and buzzing atmosphere at lunch and in the evenings. Food of good standard, offering everything from gulf shrimp to burgers. Efficient, helpful staff. Only problem is due to its popularity, parking can be an issue - park elsewhere and have... More

I've been 6 times to Captiva, and I always return to The Duck. I really don't know the exact reasons that make me return, but some of them could be its great and delicious food, its fantastic service and attention or its lovely and romantic view to the gulf. I will always recommend this place. PD: The last time I... More
