Family vacation 2022

Food and service (Our server, Zack, was very personable and attentive during our visit) was very good. This location doesn’t have quite the ambiance as the Ft. Myers Beach location but still a worth a lunch or dinner on the island. The salmon and mahi-mahi...were both good choices. Would return again.More

Nice to eat outside

Enjoyed an evening meal here. Sat out on the open porch, which was nice/cooled by fans. Nice server. Food was ok, drink was ok.

Nothing Spectacular

3.5 stars. Food was good not great. Service was good along with timing. Live music outside was very enjoyable. We sat outside and right after the sun set we started getting attacked by some type of no see Um bug despite all the overhead fans...that were going. It made the rest of the meal very unenjoyable as we were rushing to eat and get out of there. Husband got mussels and complained they were very small and lots of empty shells. Solid meal but nothing spectacular.More

Great food and even better service

Chris really was a wonderful addition to our dining experience. He went overboard to ensure we were happy. So enjoyed the toasted coconut pina colada

Doc Ford’s Captiva

We have eaten here a number of times on trips to Captiva. The food is predictable and average tasting. The staff is friendly and the outdoor seating coupled with live music is a fun environment to enjoy some drinks.

BEST SERVICE IN CAPTIVA!!

we recently stayed at south seas island resort and we’re underwhelmed by the service and food options. We came into doc fords and had the absolute best server DEVIN from Indiana! He walked us through the menu and drinks and we had a blast! The...achiote bowl was amazing and Devin was able to do chicken for me instead of fish since I don’t eat fish. Thanks devin!More

So worth it

The staff was very friendly and our waitress (Kimberly) was great. My wife had the crab stuff lobster special the first of the evening. The chef did a fantastic job. I had the shrimp and grits. It was delicious. Highly recommend Doc Fords in Captiva

Fresh fish sandwich

Another good meal and good service. Kimberly was very attentive and provided great service. The Original lime Panko crusted fish sandwich always hits the spot.

Captiva Island weekend.

My girlfriend and I visited Captiva Island a week ago. We went at sat at the main bar and had drinks and appetizers. Our bartender Brooke was fantastic all the way around. Unfortunately that evening I misplaced my keys. After a frantic few hours Brooke...found them wedged in the barstool I was sitting at. She saved our weekend. Thank you very much Brooke and your staff for calling me when found. Brooke is the best!More

Dinner

Very dissatisfied

Service very slow, chips with bean dip were stale. Food just ok. Not the same as Doc Fords in Sanibel. Bill was mixed up with another table. Will not be back to this location.

Best choice for dinner on Captiva!

Staying on Captiva for the Songwriter’s Fest this weekend and of course, had to have dinner at Doc Ford’s. Carlos was fabulous and made sure we had everything we needed throughout dinner. I highly recommend the black bean dip! We will for sure be back...during our next trip down to the island.More
