More like a tea house than a diner. I had a good breakfast. service was a bit slow, but I was in no hurry and arrived just as they were opening so they were probably just firing up the kitchen. It is pricey compared with what I am used to. Figure $20 per head.

This is a cozy little place done in bright island colors, with lots of choices. We went at 10:30 on a Sunday so they were busy of course, but we didn’t have to wait too long. Our food was very good, I had Island pancakes made with coconut and pineapple, they were large and thick but not too heavy. My friend got Eddie’s big breakfast and said everything was tasty. The service was kind of brisk and not real attentive, but they were quite busy and all we ordered came quickly and was correct. There’s not a lot of parking but it seams to work.

Yesterday, stopped in for breakfast around 9:00AM. The decor is very cheerful and bright with many multi colored chairs. I had the special French Toast with Pecans and Peaches for $11.99. 4 large slices of bread smothers with Pecans and Peaches all served with a wedge of cantaloupe and a small side dish of whipped cream. Absolutely fabulous tasting, with a little syrup on top just delicious as all get outs!! The coffee was great and never got below half full before being refilled. Great service from their staff. Coffee was $2.99. Overall just a great breakfast, I just wish it was closer to my home. When I was seated at the table I noticed that there was nothing on the tables. They bring everything to you as you need. And those who worry about covid, they bring you a container of hand sanitizer and leave it there for your use before and after eating. Nice touch!!!! I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

I went mid week at 10 am and it was crowded… but I got a place with just a 5 min wait!! Super friendly staff (masked), optional seating outside, pet friendly (even INSIDE!) , comprehensive menu with many choices, decorated like a home.. small but adequate! Plenty of parking area!’ I might be a food snob when it comes to Eggs Benedict but a good poached egg is sometimes difficult— -& the hollandaise sauce has to be authentic! Kudos to the cook cause it was perfect.!! And with REAL American ham !! A treat!! Highly recommend! And I almost forgot—the prices were very reasonable!!

This was absolutely perfect! From the moment walking in the door and seeing the eclectic decor (which is completely adorable - not overdone) to the friendly and welcoming staff the experience was delightful. Now on to the food, the eggs Benedict were top notch! The Florentine with warm green tomato slices (my choice red or green, warm or cold) and the the Crab Benedict that had almost no filler and was strictly Center to edge crab, were exquisitely done and full of flavor. For a touch of sweet they have a homemade whip cream (used for other dishes) that I asked for a taste. Oh my! The flavor rang with vanilla and a touch of cinnamon. Delish! To top off the experience our server Terry was exceptional. She was friendly and welcoming, just a natural way of allowing her guests to feel like family. Thank you Terry and The Breakfast Cottage for a memorable breakfast and experience.

We have visited the breakfast cottage three times in the past couple years we have visited Florida and it never once has disappointed. The men in our family at first made jokes about the colorful decor, saying it was a place for women, but soon changed their tune once they got their food. I usually order one of the specials but this last time we were there I ordered off the regular menu. The potatoes were tender and flavorful and the scrambled eggs were amazing. Definitely a MUST stop when we visit again!

The Cottage was the last place we visited before we moved to N Carolina and decided to head back for breakfast , it was a great choice . Plenty of tables outside and a great atmosphere with friendly service . We had a Greek Omelette that was fantastic and A order of Corn Beef Hash Eggs Benedict which was great ! This choice might seem a little out of the norm but I tried it and loved it . The service was great and the decor inside was "fun" . A great stop for breakfast and lunch . Our son asked for The French Dip at 11:00 AM and they said "no problem"

Absolutely Delicious! I got the Fresh Pear Compote French Toast. I got it to-go with delivery through DoorDash and was worried about it being soggy but they packaged all the saucy delicious things separately so I could build it fresh at home. Everything was still nice and warm and it was amazing. Yum!

We just never get tired of breakfast at this small Restsurant. The coffee is consistently good, the grits are perfect, eggs are exactly how you order them(not runny), the lemon ricotta pancakes are exquisite, as is everything you order. The service is as perfect as it gets, especially Sherry.

I stopped for breakfast on 6/24/2020 after being told about the great food. I ordered the corned beef eggs Benedict. I dont think it was corned beef, it did not look or taste like it, beef, yes it was. It was ground too fine, almost turned to saw dust and extremely dry. The poached eggs were overcooked, almost hard. The potatoes had a mushy consistency. The best part of the whole breakfast was the coffee. I drive by that place almost every day because I live in Venice, but I dont think I be stopping again!

I occasionally enjoy breakfast out and the Breakfast Cottage was one I have eaten at in the past. This past Sunday we had a late breakfast there. I would say they were not busy. There were only 3 tables with one to two dining. Again I have in the past enjoyed the restaurant. But I believe they must have new owners as I was greatly disappointed. I have an allergy which I mentioned to the server as well as the owner. They made a big fuss over serving me and having to prepare my food to avoid my allergy. As I received my pancakes, which they made in butter for me, the server said the owner will not accommodate me again to avoid my allergy. I was too much trouble. I was so upset I could hardly eat. They were so rude in the way they said it. The only thing they had to do was use butter instead of their can spray grease. My suggestion would be if you have any allergy, I would avoid the breakfast cottage as they will not treat you kindly. Very disappointing!

Everything was great. I tried the Monte Cristo sandwich. It was not deep fried and I enjoyed it much more this way. Also tried the island pancakes. These were delicious with pineapple, coconut and macadamia nuts baked in. Highly recommend!

Great breakfast at The Breakfast Cottage. Super friendly servers and really cute little restaurant. We ordered the crab cake benedict and the Uncle Ed’s, which was a sampler of eggs, bacon, potatoes and pancakes. Definitely full after our visit. We sat outside and it was perfect!!

My wife and I stopped here by chance on our way to Venice for a weekend trip for breakfast. We enjoyed everything about the meal, service, and atmosphere so much that we made a point to return the next morning. Our server (Sherry) was delightful, and took the time to chat about unique decor and made us feel so welcome. The food was excellent and the menu would satisfy any breakfast favorites. We will definitely make a point to return to here. I highly recommend The Breakfast Cottage,
