We went here for an early dinner (4PM) and the place already had a large amount of diners; we had difficulty finding a parking space in the restaurant's small lot. I had a $25 Birthday certificate which I had registered for.
We were not happy with table we were led to, and asked to be seated along the waterfront. The hostess made three invalid excuses, each of which my wife shot down...but she simply just added another invalid excuse. So we unhappily took the table.
We ordered a Mahi-Mahi sandwich with one side ($18.25) and Fish & Chips (16.50). Both meals were ample, hot and very good. We thought the overall restaurant was a little pricey
The waiter was efficient, non-intrusive and caring. we were happy with the service.
A nice touch at the end, I was provided a slice of key lime pie as a birthday treat.

We have been here once or twice before, best place in town to watch the sunset and enjoy some cocktails. Or server Ali was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and was able to offer a few recommendations. Highly recommend Ali if you want to receive the best service in town

While the early bird specials seemed interesting and cost effective, we instead choose to order off the diner menu and so happy we did. Jennifer was a great server! We will ask for her next time. We sat outside on a cook Decenber evening and watched a beautiful sunset while enjoying complimentary bread, butter, and seasoned oil for dipping. We each had two perfectĺy made cocktails, shrimp cocktail, french onion soup, and delicilous shaved beef sliders (we will return for that!). For our meal we had grouper and a reuben sandwich. The athmosphere coupled with great service made for a lovely evening. Thank you.

The setting, being right on the water, is very nice, and the food was of good quality and tasteful, the service was also very good. The music was loud and had to ask the server if they could get it turned down as we could not carry on a conversation as we could not hear each other. Although on the pricy side it was a bit insulting for them to add a 2.25% non-cash transaction fee to the bill. We were a party of six and the bill was over $200. I don’t know about you but most people do not carry that kind of cash around and usually pay by credit card. For this reason I gave it 3 stars otherwise I would have given it four. Parking is very limited but they do offer valet parking.

After many years of going to the grill and enjoying it immensely I scheduled a family reunion with eight of us for dinner. I flew in my family from all over the United States some of them flying over 3,000 miles. I arranged for a specific round table in the inside air conditioned area. I stressed time and time again to whomever took the reservation how special this was having not seen my family in 15 years. We were finally seated. After 40 minutes no one had even come to our table yet with a menu. Apparently there was some kind of a business party upstairs that rendered us not worthy of a server. I finally got up went out front was ignored for a few minutes by the two girls behind the desk before I finally said " would it be okay if we had some menus.?" They seem surprised. Another 5-10 minutes and we finally had menus. The food which I had raved about to them came but the fish we could smell from 15 ft from the table. It was awful! Not wanting to ruin the festivity we did not complain we just kind of ignored it. The mixed vegetables were literally not worthy of being eaten. Several of my family members had your chicken which was tasty but the beans served or somewhat cold and tough and quite frankly terrible. None of us enjoyed our meals. So we decided since this was such a special occasion to order some dessert. Once again I had to go up and search for our waiter. When he came back he just brought us our final bill. Didn't even offer dessert so we asked him for it. He seemed somewhat put out obviously in a hurry to go home or something. We were amazed. We ordered some dessert and we ordered coffee. All of us would have loved to have been offered a refill on our coffee but apparently that is not the procedure at the grill anymore. I've waited this long to write this review because there was no hurry because we are simply never coming back.

Very disappointing meal for Mothers Day! I ended up not even getting my meal because they messed up our order. When they finally brung my meal (salad) they still had dressing wrong and my family was done eating. So much for Mother’s Day meal for me. The mahi mahi was undercooked and the green beans was pitiful. The steak was only decent thing at the table and it was very small for $45. They Virginia Ham was literally deli meat slapped on a plate. Horrible service, not even mediocre food, high prices. Too many choices to eat here don’t waste your time.

The only reason this place is still in business is because it has amazing views and the building is historic and beautiful inside. This used to be our favorite, go to, all the time. After a few very mediocre lunch and dinner visits, we just stopped going. A year later we said well they must have got their stuff together by now, so let's try again. It was not busy although it was a Sunday afternoon. We ordered a favorite we always "used" to love and then I ordered something new, Beef on a Weck. The fish & chips, awful. Both tiny pieces of fish were dry and over breaded and over cooked. Most was just breading with a few bits of fish inside. Fries were good, that was it on that end. Plus small, small portions and price much higher. The Beef on a Weck was a joke. 75% was fat. I picked out the fat and left it on the plate. Had approximately 2-3 small bites of "meat". So small of a bun too. The horseradish (creamy) was the only good part of my meal. Yes, we did speak to the manager. He could care less. He said he is aware of the many food quality issues and is hoping to buy the place from the very old gentlemen who currently owns it. He would not comp our meal or do anything else except do a do over next time. Of course with 4+ bad experiences in the last few years, we will never return and will never bring our out of town guests here again.

95th. Birthday Celebration for our Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather. In total their were 17 teen family members in attendance. For the most part everything was ok with the exception of the Birthday persons food. His cod fish was uneatable, in fairness he was asked by the waitress if he wanted something else he said that he didn't. As I payed the bill for our meals the manager asked me how everything was i told him about the cod fish, and his replay was he wished he new, with no apology.
This was his favorite restaurant and we were so looking forward to having a wonderful time but were a little disappointed.

Sadly disappointed. The Mahi was overcook, dried out, and chewy. YUK!! The mash potatoes were extremely salty. The clam chowder was a "potato bacon soup" overly salted. YUK!! I only recommend this restaurant for drinks since the ambiance was great and the view enjoyable.

Annual visit to a NSB snowbird, Grille at Riverview always a favorite dinner spot.
On the pricey side but used to be worth the dining experience.
Prime rib was excellent as usual, however side dishes ruined everything.
Corn was barely above room temperature and the potatoes au gratin were actually cold. Comment to server hardly acknowledged. Also mentioned to a manager when she came by, who did offer to bring out another (hot) potato dish. At that point it was too late in the dinner.
Ordered coffee, which came out cold. Got the server back and requested Hot coffee!
No apologies were offered. $200 dinner for three people, you expect a little more from a restaurant of this (what was) quality. Offer to take a little off the bill perhaps or a gift certificate to try again next time…
Don’t think we’re interested in making a ‘next time’ now.
Very disappointed, it had been a favorite restaurant.

Unless you are going for a drink on the water don’t bother. Went here for a date night with another couple. Had reservations during a weeknight. We were seated in a corner and ignored for a good 30 min. No water, no drinks, no one would help us, table wasn’t even set up for 4 people. 3-4 servers passed us multiple times and no one would even look our way, We finally flagged down someone and ordered drinks and a few apps. This now took over 30 min to get our drinks and apps delivered . They were NOT busy. We then ordered entrees. 30-40 min later they brought 2 out of 4 entrees and redelivered our 2 apps duplicated. I’m not sure what happened. Every time we asked what was taking so long we got more excuses. The employees were more concerned who was at fault/who to blame about our delays instead of just fixing the issues and taking care of us the customer.. We finally asked to speak to manager about experince, service , missing/wrong foods etc was so horrible. Manager never came.(we asked 3 times) . My friend was determined to order dessert and coffee drink despite the entire evening being horrible and still missing 2 entrees. We told them to cancel the missing entrees and just get us the dessert, After another 30 min we asked where dessert was…. Oh , let me check says server. We never saw server again. We should have walked out before the meal ever started. We live local and have never tried this place for dinner because of so many mixed reviews. There are so many great places to eat in NSB, don’t waste your time or money here. They clearly don’t care about their customers. This place is not managed properly. Service is horrible, food is average. Try Lemoncello, Bakers Table, SoNapa , Jbs, off the hook, 3rd wave, corkscrew,outriggers, Mi Mexico, Crabbys…. All way better Service and great food.. Heck take a short drive up A1A to Flagler to eat at The island a grille.

This place sucked with a capital s. The food was overcooked and I payed 33.00 for two wines and one miller light. This sucks. If you have money to throw away for crap food come here. THEY SUCK............

We ate here during our first visit to NSB in 1999 but despite being local since 2000 hadn’t visited in a long time because of mixed reviews and because there were other places we enjoyed. However, the recent reviews seemed better- except for one in which the diner reported being told to change tables to accommodate a VIP- and we were in the mood for roast beef which just doesn’t come out right in our oven on the beach so we made a reservation for a weeknight. We arrived on time and waited 10 minutes at the reception desk during which literally three staffers told us that someone would be with us shortly before being shown to our table by a fourth staffer. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, roast beef as our entree and a bottle of wine. After a mishap in which the server spilled our drinks and had to get them refilled, we received them. That wasn’t a problem, but we were long finished with them when we finally received our appetizer. The bacon wrapped scallops were very tasty but pricy at $14.95 for three small pieces. Then, the server brought a bottle of wine but it wasn’t what we ordered so we sent it back. Eventually, we were told that what we ordered wasn’t available so we ordered something else. Before it arrived, and more than 45 minutes after ordering our roast beef we were told it was sold out. We paid for our drinks and appetizer and left. The attitude of everyone we encountered was just terrible, including the manager whom we asked to turn on the heater (we were outside and told by our server that we had to ask the manager) who told us she didn’t know how to turn it on and just walked away. We suspect that the server knew that the wine she brought wasn’t what we ordered because she didn’t seem at all surprised when we told her it was not what we ordered. The man who came and told us that the roast beef was sold out acted as if we were unreasonable for having ordered it. While restaurants can and do run out of dishes, the timing in this instance was suspect because we told at a time after we should have already received our entrees. It appeared to be bait and switch. This place doesn’t deserve anyone’s patronage. The restaurant business is hard but customers shouldn’t be treated with disdain. I should have heeded the review from the patron who was relocated and never considered it. We won’t ever return- even in another 20 years. Don’t visit unless you enjoy being treated badly and enjoy paying for it.

Where do I start? Was taking my significant other out for her birthday. We waited over an hour for our food and when it finally came, well I am feeling kind, it was very disappointing. 42 dollars for a steak that was not cooked right and my significant other ate a few bites of her food and could not eat anymore. I asked to speak to a manager and I was in store for another birthday surprise! He could have cared less, the only thing he offered was to throw the hour old steak back on the grill. Bottom line, we paid 150 bucks for bread. I must admit the bread was good, lol. If your looking for views of the water and alcoholic beverages, this is the place. Looking for a decent meal and good customer service? Stay away!!!!!!

We were seated in a perfect place, right on the water.
It is a lovely location.
My friend and I both ordered the cod, which was about $25.
We could substitute the rice for French fries for my friend and mashed potatoes for me.
I liked that option.
The cod came with a panco crust topping.
First bite for me was some chewy part ...it was grayish, not white and flaky...
The waitress saw my expression and asked how it was..and did I want her to bring another piece.
I didn't want to make a fuss.
She was very pleasant and could see I wasn't enjoying it,so asked again if I wanted a new piece.
I had been picking at it and so finally said, "Yes please "...
After quite some time, the hostess/boss, brought it over herself .
She looked at me and said, " Looks like you have eaten most of it!"
I found this to be so rude, especially as the nice waitress had asked me twice.
The second piece was not fresh either.
Edible, but I know fresh fish and this was not!
The green beans were good .
I go there any time that I have visitors in town, but next time, I'll go elsewhere.
