JB's may not appear to be as "nice" as maybe some of the restaurants on Flagler, but definitely put it on your "must go" list when visiting New Smyrna Beach. We went for lunch one afternoon and went back three more times that week! Our favorite is the steamed shrimp, "hot and heavy." You'll love it so much you'll want... More

Dont ask for any substitutions even for an upcharge. They wont sub extra slaw for frenchfries. Prices seemed high too.

J.B's is right on the water in New Smyrna Beach (river / intra coastal side). There is a big dock so you can come by boat (some tricky waters though). Dock is a good spot to wait for your table. There is live music outside sometimes and you can also see manatees at the dock certain times of the year.... More

As a local we eat here 5 to 6 times each year. Consistent food prep. Your basic seashore food joint. Inside and outside dining. Worth the trip.

JB's is an unassuming fish camp on the Indian River Lagoon. Brown paper is the table covering for everyone and paper towels are the extra napkins. But the food is good. I had rock shrimp cakes which were delicious, but were adorned with a too spicy sauce. Everyone else liked their dirty rice, which was too spicy for me. Cajun... More

Went with five other people and we all loved our meals. The hush puppies were wonderful. My husband loved the fish scampi. Great corn on the cob. You get a lot food and leave with a full stomach. After dinner we went out back and saw some manatees and a beautiful sunset. Great night!

Recommended by the front desk at Coastal Waters and what a find! We had the fish dip (smokey and good), Shrimp Basket (perfectly cooked) and Scallop Basket (sweet and tender). Also had a side of hush puppies which were "da bomb"! Our server, Michelle was excellent, as was the waterfront dining ambiance. We walked out on the boardwalk and watched... More

While the service was excellent, the food was anything but, somehow dry fried grouper? My wife's mahi sand which was good with fries and clam chowder that was more like a potato soup. The beer was in a plastic cup and tasted like it was 3 years old. (Yuengling) I've lived in central Florida 20 years and never tried this... More

Really fresh fish and clams. Loved the sweet hush puppies. Fun location right on the "river". We had grouper, oyster stew and steamed clams. All were delicious.

Relaxed, Enjoyable Atmosphere. Yummy seafood choices. Bar makes good drinks. Convenient, close location to Turtle Mound Beach.
