We had a wonderful meal and Angela was an Excellent Server. Thanks also to Jason, great Host. This is a place where the food is good and the prices are reasonable. Nice Happy Hour too.

Highlight of our trip is our dinner at Bistro 821! The Seabass is THE BEST I've ever put in my mouth!

We’ve never been to bistro 821 after living here 46 years and heard so many great things! Made a reservation for four and let me tell you it was spot on from the really nice and accommodating host, to Jon the bartender and finally Lauren...the server who never missed a beat! Food was delicious, a really nice experience! Thank youMore

We recently visited Bistro with a group of friends as it has been one of our go to restaurants in Naples for the last several, years. It was busy as usual and full of energy. The wait staff seemed stressed and struggling to maintain. Our group...ordered sea bass and grouper which was good as always. The pasta with mushrooms and beef tips was bland. The food was solid but it seemed something had slipped and things had changed. That was confirmed when we received our bill. Our waitress charged us each extra for the risotto side after telling us it was inter changeable. In addition, our gift certificate was dismissed by the wait staff with “we don’t do that anymore”. As our go to spot we had joined the Bistro rewards program which offers gift certificates once spending limits have been achieved. Bistro has stoped honoring their gift cards and reward program for repeat diners. Maybe due to their prime location they are focused on serving the tourist crowd vs repeat business. It’s disappointing to see your favorite restaurant slipping and turn their back on loyal locals.More

Fabulous fresh fish! We enjoyed the snapper and sea bass as well as delicious asparagus. Our daughter really enjoyed her kids pasta as well. Calamari had a very light batter and great dipping sauces. Wonderful service as well!

One of my favourites when I come to Naples. This time we opted for an outside table which was nice with. Great biz and excellent service for Peter. Started with the Bubbly Crab Dip (delicious) and followed by the Bouillabaisse and my wife had the...Pot Roast which were both lovely. Great night out, thanks Bistro 821 for another smashing meal!More

We sat on the patio for dinner. First, it was 45 minutes before we were served our entrees. My wife had the nut and berry salad (had to ask for the nuts) and it was a disappointment due to the dressing which was not like...the previous times there. I had the ribeye ($58.00) and it was dry, tough, and tasteless and not the cut of meat that was previously served there. The bread was another disappointment as it was like a store-bought hard roll. I complained to the waiter and then the manager did come by and offer another entree as it was explained to him that it was not edible. By then we had been there for 90 minutes and were ready to leave. DISCLAIMER-This has been my go to restaurant on 5th avenue for years and this was the only bad meal ever there. I felt like they should at the least have deducted the price of the uneaten ribeye from my bill.More

I had reservations for Valentine's Day for about 6 weeks. Apparently when I made them I didn't need to leave a credit card. The day before our reservation, the hostess called for a credit card while I was driving down the road. I told her...that I was driving and would need to call back with it. She said that wasn't an option and she would need to cancel the reservation, I said that is ridiculous, I was driving and couldn't get to my wallet and I would call back, again said no. I finally had to pull over to give her the credit card. During that time I asked why she needed the credit card and she said to hold the reservation but that they don't charge it. I asked if they didn't charge it, why would they need it. She didn't have an answer. I pulled over and then tried to provide her with the number and she wouldn't take it because she said she felt uncomfortable taking it from me. I said this is ridiculous, she wanted the number, I had no pulled over and could give then number to her, and she said no, she wasn't comfortable taking it now. The call then ended. I then tried calling back four times from my phone and they never answered. I called from a different phone and she immediately picked up. I said are you ready to take the number now and she whispered to a man standing next to her that "it is him, why do I say I didn't pick up". His response was "just say you were on another call". I then gave her the credit card number. While she was taking it, she made a snide joke and make the comment "that's funny". At the end of the call, I told her what was going to be funny was that no matter how good the food was, that I would give her a bad review for her customer service. About two hours later, the restaurant manager called up. I anticipated he was calling to apologize. Instead, he was calling to say he was cancelling our reservation because of making threats, profanity, and abusive comments. I asked him what he was talking about as none of that occurred other than the comment about the bad review. He responded that he was putting this down as the basis and didn't care that it wasn't true. He then proceeded to tell me if I put up a negative review, that he would intentionally fabricate his response to try and try to spin it to protect the restaurant. He was upset that I questioned their policy of taking credit cards to hold reservations and charging no shows but then also seating people at the table that was reserved, like a double dip of charges. His response - "when you get a restaurant you can do what you want". He then cancelled our reservation. I asked what we were supposed to do the day before Valentine's Day, and he simply said he wished us good luck but that we probably wouldn't find anyplace to eat. Both he and his hostess that called were horribly rude. The level of narcissism in the manager was horrible. We have eaten at this restaurant numerous times along with the sister ones. They have lost a great, local customer. To tell someone that you would attack them on social media with a false response is absolutely maddening. Accept that your hostess was out of line and move on. But then to cancel a Valentine's reservation the day before knowing there is nowhere else available, and, to threaten a customer? No thanks. I will spend my money elsewhere.More

We dined here before, when Covid had first started, so there were fewer diners in the restaurant than now. Unfortunately, the noise level is ridiculously loud. The food is still great, but it was super hard to carry on a conversation. The restaurant should look...into noise canceling acoustics, like other restaurants have.More

We decided to stop in to Bistro 821 today for their happy hour and are so glad we did! The drinks were delicious and each of the four appetizers we got was better than the one before! We tried the braked Brie, spring rolls, prawns,...and crab dip and loved them all. The best part of the experience, though, was the superb service. Bartender John was extremely friendly and attentive, making us feel like regulars even though it was our first time there. Several of the servers stopped to talk (Danielle from Boston is the only name we got) and all were so friendly. We will absolutely be returning to Bistro 821! We can’t wait to try the sea bass, which was so highly recommended, on our next visit.More

Hi Jim, Naples is on the mend and most of the main roads still have dead tree debris on the shoulders, but it should be gone by November. Businesses have reopened and are happy for the custom. The town will be in full... More
