Great view of water and passing boats . Like any water view restaurant the parking is a problem at prime hours but the owners have that covered with ample valet parking! Sad to say the food served to us was disappointing and staff seemed strained...but pleasant. The stuffed flounder with crab was the most disappointing . I don’t like reporting negative reviews but that’s what this website is all about.More

Good thing a friend suggested we give the Boathouse a try as I saw numerous, not so glowing reviews. Was drawn to the location and history of the restaurant and their backstory. Thankfully we asked for a table outside, as the inside is a bit...cramped and well, hasn't changed much in... forever. The cocktails we ordered were a bit watered-down due to some service slowness. We had mussels and calamari, and they were both very good - the mussels especially. We then had some good entrees and were satisfied with their timeliness, taste and presentation. Our server started off kinda grumpy to start and then slowly she seemed to warm up a bit. Our son actually said when she first came by, "wow, not great and friendly, too bad, we're nice people." Enjoyed the sunset and seating. Not sure if we'd return or not.More

My wife and I and another couple were visiting in Naples, Florida and our experience with this restaurant was just so unbelievably bad we caution you from ever going there. All of us at the table are experienced seafood eaters, and my wife was particularly...attracted to the meal called "Lobster Scallop & Gulf Shrimp Sautee" described in the photo attached. She was particularly pleased that it would be served with "A half of a Maine Lobster". When the meal arrived the pasta, shrimp and sauce were all fine. As she began the meal she realized that there was NO Maine lobster but a tiny lobster tail-see photo attached. When we confronted the waitress, she called over a young man who said he was the manager- When confronted with obvious disparity of facts, he said that was a half of a lobster; we insisted that it was not a half lobster and even showed a picture on the internet of what half lobster should look like. His answer was "there's nothing I can do for you". My wife simply said "well, I'm not paying for it". With that he walked away. A few minutes later the poor waitress returned and told us he was taking off 1/2 the price. When the check came, we found that that he had taken off roughly 30%. When he came over to our table he insisted that his calculation was 1/2 the price-he missed that last math class. He insisted that the restaurant buys 1/2 lobsters and what was served was a half of a lobster! He then admitted that they NEVER buy whole lobsters. We later learned that he was the owner's son. I guess that's how he got the job.More

This a moderately priced restaurant and it was packed on a a Thursday night in February. Food was indeed mediocre. My triggerfish which was ordered blackened arrived with a healthy dusting of seasoning which was not blackening. caesar salad was an assortment of soggy greens...that was essentially inedible. French fries accompanying my fish were fine. The place incredibly loud but you know that going in. I suspect the owners will not care about this or ant other less than glowing review. This place has moderate prices and a great location in an area full of much higher priced restaurants. Things may be better in July but for now it is high season in Naples so……More

It was Valentines Day. One of a restaurant’s busiest days and we were there at the dinner hour, but our waiter, Hayden, was superb. Very attentive and accommodating. The food was delivered promptly and the prices were reasonable. Nothing was missing from this very enjoyable...evening at this very picturesque restaurant.More

The Boathouse on Naples Bay is one of our Favorites. Lovely views with outdoor seating available. Lively vibe. Friendly servers. My husband & I went there to celebrate Valentine's Day and arrived to a packed house by 4 pm. Valet Parking at the front door....The hostess told us it would be an hour wait, so we ordered drinks at the bar while we waited. My husband said they had the best Sangria he's ever had, mixed right in front of us with lots of fresh fruit, served in a carafe over ice. It was enough to fill the wine glass twice. The time passed quickly as we chatted with friendly people at the bar, and then we were seated at an outdoor table. Our beautiful server, Jackie, was slamming busy but didn't miss a beat. She was still very patient with us, answered all my questions, took the time to ask the chef my question about the local fish of the day, and delivered excellent service. Fresh warm rolls with butter were served very quickly. The appetizers were great; the smoked salmon plate was almost enough for a meal! My husband ordered the Chilean Sea Bass which was AMAZING, cooked perfectly, and it was delicious. I selected a fish I've never had before, Trigger Fish, which was also cooked perfectly and well seasoned. I chose to have it prepared Sicilian Style, topped with bread crumbs and fresh garlic & herbs. I found theTrigger Fish to be similar to Rainbow Trout, a thinner fish with mild flavor. It was very good. My Cesar salad dressing was delicious, salty the way I like it. And the sweet potato fries were fabulous. I was very pleased and impressed that even on what surely was one of their busiest days of the year, every seat in the restaurant filled, that they still managed to do such a great job in every way. Perfectly prepared food, excellent, friendly service. It was a pleasure in every way, a very memorable Valentines's Day experience. (I'd also like to mention to any boaters out there that I've arrived by boat in the past, docked right in back of the Boathouse, which is fun and convenient. You can even call ahead and they will deliver your take-out order to your boat. Kinda cool. 😎)More

The trigger fish here was delicious. There were 10 of us and all were very happy with their meal, drinks and excellent service. We loved our waitress (wish I could think of her name). She really took care of us. Highly recommend this one!

It is our tradition to celebrate wedding anniversary here, now 63, with best friends from our wedding party. The early specials and drinks are a great value with great food. Our server Mark was great and entertaining in a kind of irreverent but delightful way....We got a promised table by a window overlooking the Bay. It was a night of great views, food, service, friends and memories. We hope to do it again!More

We have lived in Naples for 3 years now and this was by far our worst experience at a local restaurant. We arrived at 4:20 on a Wednesday and were seated outside at a nice table. We waited over 20 minutes and flagged down a...waitress asking to place a drink order. 2 waitresses argued in front of us that this was not either of their tables. One waitress reluctantly agreed to take care of us. Bad way to start a romantic meal. Drinks finally came and we placed our order. After another half hour, our waitress told us that the kitchen was backed up and it was going to be a while. While waited, 2 buss boys cleared the table next to us, calling each other putas and other Spanish swear words loud enough or us to hear. Our food finally came and the grouper was clearly not fresh and previously frozen. My wife’s came not the way she ordered it and the rice pilaf and baked potato were ice cold. Do yourself a favor and eat someplace else. The manager here clearly does not know how to run a restaurant.More
