Had dinner outside at The Boathouse while in Naples. I had the coconut shrimp. The shrimp were large but the breading fell off as you picked them up. The dipping sauce was awesome! My wife had the crab cake and said it was very good....Lobster bisque was not good. Key lime pie was very good!More

First make reservations - even with reservations you wait! Lots of empty tables inside and out - maybe the wait is due to staffing ? This used to be my place to go the Lobster Mac and Cheese. Not anymore - prices up and portions...down. Service was good. Sat outside had heaters - great view. Wont be back again for a while ...More

We realize that it is extremely difficult to have a business these days but what makes it work is when we can all trust one another. We made a reservation to return to the Boathouse a restaurant we have enjoyed in the past. We were...extremely disappointed. It was PACKED and was exactly the environment many of us are trying to avoid. instead of getting outside, undercover, to get your name on the wait list or check in for a reservation you have to go inside the very small greeting area. There were 7 patrons huddled or standing in that very small area (less than 2 feet or separation) with many more right outside the door that you had to walk through. NO ATTEMPT was made by staff to sort it out. We were lead to our table by a greeter who wore her mask over her mouth but did not cover her nose. To get to our table we had to wind our way through numerous other tables of patrons who had reasonably removed their masks to eat frequently brushing against their chairs . A couple times the greeter asking them to "suck it in" so we could get by. When we finally made it our table we were surrounded on 3 sides (the 4th side was a wall) by tables that we could easily reach out and touch!!! We try to follow CDC guidelines and even give some slack (which is why we were trying to spend our money at a restaurant we used to like in the first place) but this was WAY OVER THE TOP.More

Someone recommended this restaurant and we finally tried it. Seating was either outside or at the window. We made it for happy hour, so drinks were reasonable. My partner ordered the special (crab and a 10oz rib eye), medium rare. The steak was skinny and...medium. The fish i had was almost over cooked. You get a lot of food for the price and dinner was almost $100, for just okay. But the view was fabulous and we felt pretty safe.More

Black patrons and quite possibly only blacks present at restaurant at the time. I made reservations for outdoor seating at what is dubbed to be one of thee "it" restaurants in Naples, 5 days in advance. I was super-excited! Sadly, when I arrived there with...my guest, that excitement quickly gave way to frustration and mild anger. We were disrespected by the host, the seating personnel, and someone whom I later discovered was a bartender, before we were even seated. My attempts at pointing out that reservations were made was met with a dismissive, indifferent and non-chalant attitude and I was advised I would need to wait or choose to be seated inside. At the same token, a warm attitude and pleasantries were being exchanged with customers who came in after us. These individuals had also made reservations and every attempt was being made to get them seated. As tempting as it was to acquiesce and exit the establishment, I stood my ground. Thoughts of whether I would be perceived as the "angry black woman" as I expressed my concerns, raced across my mind. I mustered up enough diplomacy and directness and told the staff that it was not my business that they had failed to make the correct booking entry and that "No" we would not be seated inside the building, neither would we delay dinner because of their lack of integrity. Luckily the manager came back (though he offered no kind words or an apology) and promptly instructed staff to have us seated. The young woman walked us to our table and literally threw our menus on the table and walked away without a word. My guest was upset. He expressed feeling racially profiled. I told him very astutely, "I BELONG here. We BELONG here. The Earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof!" Happy that the servers were impeccable in the quality of service delivered and the food was tasty!More

We spend a week down in Naples every year and usually hit up the boathouse once. This year we had to go back. The Clams Casino was a hit. I get the grouper with lemon burre blanc. Fantastic. My 4 yo loves their fried shrimp....Always a hit.More

A more informal and friendly atmosphere, a super familiar staff and close to the client, an incredible experience. The ingredients are always fresh and very well made, the offer is great for the price presented. Great restaurant with a fantastic Naples Bay view.

There are so many positives with this venue. Whether you are sitting inside or outside, the water and boat views are beautiful. The menu is outstanding and what we ordered was delicious. We ate outside and ordered the scallops wrapped in bacon, the corn &...crab bisque (yummy), the grouper sandwich and lobster roll. Along with some beers, this lunch totaled just over $100 for two. So you say, it sounds really good; why only three stars? Masks are not required for the staff and the inside bar was packed, chair to chair, with customers - no thought or concern given to social distancing. We will not be returning until management respects the welfare of their customers as much as their own financial welfare.More

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Went to dinner tonight with my family to celebrate my birthday. From the start, the way our server approached us was appalling. Felt unwelcome the whole time we were there. Took our drink and food order, just for us to wait...50+ minutes for our food to come out.. meanwhile the restaurant was empty. Server did not come to mention or ever apologize for it taking so long. Bread never came out.. when it’s usually the first thing supposed to be brought out (especially since our server asked if we wanted any).Went and asked why it was taking so long, our server didn’t even look at me, just said oh let me go check. Another server brought out the bread, and when we asked her also why the food was taking so long she sarcastically said “well did you only order one steak?” Disrespectful way to treat any customer. When our food was finally brought out, the steaks were all cold and flavorless, just a big disappointment in the end. There was no apology given for the horrible service. Will definitely not be going back and sad that this is the place where I had to celebrate my birthday.More
