Located in a strip mall, this little Eastern European restaurant did not disappoint us. It was easy to make a reservation on OpenTable though we really did not need it the night we dined there.
We had a leisurely dinner with some delicious food to enjoy. The salad, the sour pickles, the schnitzel, and the chicken paprikash were very good. The portions were large and authentic.

I was excited to read about the extraordinary German food served at the Alpine Restaurant. In fact, I chose this place to celebrate and have my 66th birthday
dinner. I had a special request to have grilled onions and lemon slices served with my Wiener Schnitzel, and that was no problem. The schnitzel arrived crispy with luke warm spätzle and warm red cabbage, not terrible but not outstanding either. My husband's Bratwurst dinner was also just so-so. What really made me gasp was that when asking for a nice grainy mustard to have with my husband's wurst, the server brought his a bottle of Grey Poupon! I'm sorry, but a great German restaurant would have several Germany-style mustards on hand and never serve Grey Poupon. Disappointed, we laughed this off. I then asked for a take out order of Apple Strudel or Black forest cake; both German standards. Sadly, neither were available. We settled for a slice of chocolate cake. It tasted like it maybe came from a grocery store bakery. Sigh. I'll still be in search of great German food when next we visit Naples!

We had a party of 6 and we each tried something different. The various schnitzel options were all amazing. The chicken paprikash was a close second to my mother's homemade version. We especially loved the dumplings that were served with it, as we like to dunk our bread in the sauce and we were able to dunk the dumplings! We also took desserts home for later, delicious as well. The only thing that was off the night we were there was the service. It was a Friday night, but did not seem crowded at all and the meal took quite a long time to come out to us. Perhaps they were short-staffed in the kitchen that night. The meal was so good though, that we were able to overlook the slowness.

Eight of us went for early dinner. Few others were in the restaurant. It took 40 minutes to get our food once we had ordered. My daughter's fried Mozzarella was still frozen in the middle and the dumplings that several had were still frozen in places. The snitzle was ok but the breading did not stick to the meat. My "special" was inedible & the apple sauce was sour.

Very sad
We went, in spite of all the horrible reviews about service. Unfortunately, the torrid reviews about horrible service were conservative.
After ten min waiting to be seated in a nearly empty dining room, and 15 min to have no server approach us, we left.
Sad.

When we entered we told the waitress/ hostess that we had made reservations through OpenTable. At this time I still have not received notification from OpenTable that I did. We were taken to an inside table for two and given menus. Our waitress was busy but managed to take care of us easily enough.
The goulash was excellent as was the Wiener schnitzel. I was not as pleased with the chicken Paprikash. I had hoped there would be chicken pieces not small pieces still on the bone. I’ll remember to chose something* else when I return.

I made a reservation for dinner but when we arrived, the restaurant had plenty of seating available. They offered an Octoberfest menu filled with several specials as well as the unusual menu that can also be viewed online.
The portions were large and we had a lot of food left to take home. The food was delicious. Our waiter told us that he was a cook as well as the waiter. He took time to explain the specials and was very pleasant. From the time we were seated until the time we paid and left, we were there a total of 40 minutes.

Enjoyed a delightful dinner with another couple last Saturday. We all loved our meals. Three of us ordered Jäger Schnitzel (tasty and tender and hot served with a mushroom gravy) and the fourth ordered Classic Goulash. The tomato salad was also excellent - covered in onions and feta cheese. Prices were very reasonable and service was excellent. Beer and wine only. Outdoor seating and nice clean dining room.

We had a reservation and finally found the restaurant after driving all around the area. We called and just got a message! The server seemed disgusted that we did not order drinks; we don’t drink any alcohol. We told him we were ready to order, but it took time for him to come back. After waiting an hour, we asked what was taking so long and were told “it was coming soon”. Our meals were good—goulash and Wiener schnitzel with red cabbage and Farmer’s potatoes. We asked for dessert to go since everything took so long. Chocolate cake and poppyseed cake were both good. If service had been better, I would have rated it higher. It is rude to treat customers who don’t drink the way we were.

Enjoyed a wonderful outdoor dinner with friends.
The soups were fantastic. We all agreed that the split pea with ham/sausage, the cabbage with ham and the chicken soups were flavorful and plentiful. More on this after dinner comments.
Our dinners kept pace with the soups. Most of us had the schnitzel which none of us finished, but took home. The fourth was a Hungarian beef entree with steamed dumplings. It too tasted great. I ate no bread and could not finish my meal. That split pea soup was so satisfying and filling!
The girls had wine and the boys enjoyed some European beers.

I didn't realize I could find authentic German food in Naples until I ended up here. They had 2-3 German beers on tap, spaetzle, schnitzel, brats, and many others that you would hope to see. I enjoyed the spaetzle and sliced schnitzel very much (and my dad loved the jaeger schnitzel). The portions are large; good for sharing. Not health food but it's not supposed to be. I will definitely be back.

I purchased a large bowl of soup but received only a cup. Two bread slices were maybe 5 mm each. I emailed the restaurant sharing my experience but my email was not answered. I don't recommend this place for a soup and bread lunch or light dinner. As a vegan, my food options at this restaurant are very limited. The garlic and potato soup was my only warm meal available for purchase but it was such a tiny amount that I went to Whole Foods and ate there after leaving Alpine restaurant in Naples.

Loved the pair of pork Schnitzel we had for dinner and side dishes, Brought back my German service deployment and subsequent trips.
Service was terminally long. As a result, Food came out not as crisply fried and just warm. The oil, however, was very clean. Only thing was that my shirt picked up some of the frying oil aroma-need to clean those hoods.

Have been here many times and usually a pretty good bet.
As it’s out of season we expect these smaller places to be slow. The last 2 times here we were the only table. Hopefully it’s not the death signal.
Wiener Schnitzel was very good. Farmer’s potatoes also good despite being cold. Cabbage ok but it too was cold.
Problem was the Svieckova Dinner. Portion was tiny. Like 2 thin slices of beef. It couldn’t be cut with a fork and barely with a knife. After working up a sweat I was able to take a small bite and as expected couldn’t chew it.
Tried to explain the waitress but due to language barrier explaining was difficult. She did bring a replacement (she wasn’t happy about it) the results were the same.
Pretty obvious the meat had not been prepared properly and it had not been cooked nearly long enough.
I think they probably knew of the problem as the meat was covered in a bucket of the golden gravy.
As I’ve had this dish at lest 50 times in past 5 years I know what it should be and what it was.
I’m hoping the new chef and owners get the quality issues figured out as thus was one of the better European restaurants in town.

This has been my go-to restaurant for lunch after arrival at RSW or ahead of departure, depending on my flight schedule. Since the last time I was here was the summer of 2018, could not get there fast enough for lunch. Not much had changed, other than Alex I heard moved back to Europe so, it Looks like Eva is running the show on her own.
Our order included Slovak Schnitzel ($17.50) – breaded pork loin and mashed potatoes (or Farmers potatoes). Served with sweet and sour cucumber salad, and Classic Goulash ($18.50) - Generous portion of beef and pork, blended in tender vegetables, paprika, tomatoes and authentic seasonings, with mashed potatoes (or steamed dumplings or homemade Spätzle).
What I liked:
- The flavor of the goulash sauce and tenderness of the meat
- The Farmers potatoes were very good and had plenty of bacon pieces
- The cucumber salad is always very good
What I Did Not Like:
- There was no generous portion amount of beef and pork in the Goulash. For the price point it was disappointing
- The schnitzel, for the first time had a puffy outer coating that separated from the pork. This happens sometimes because there is excess flour which creates a coating that prevents the mixture from latching on.
- Service was not very attentive. We saw potential patrons walk I, wait and then walk out because they were not greeted in a timely manner.
