Been here in Naples 18 yrs and never had I come across or heard of this lovely little Italian bistro, Saluto and Dolce. We stumbled over this place last Thursday, August 18th, and were delighted that we did. My two dining companions thoroughly enjoyed their selections as did I. The sandwiches were fresh and the bread was exceptional. I had... More

Tucked away and not easy to find, but worth the search. Small cafe, decorated simply and clean. Odd louvred door on the restroom. The service is very friendly and knowledgeable as it is the owner. The ingredients in the salads, pastas and sandwiches are very fresh. The bread is tasty. The sandwiches are not loaded with ingredients but they are... More

The concierge at Inn on 5th recommended Dolce & Salato for lunch- oh my! Simply divine! It is unassuming but we ALL thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. 2 of our party ordered the lasagne and were very delighted with their meal. Homemade bread was brought to the table- it was light and melts in your mouth. 2 of us... More

This is a good place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. The interior is nothing special...it has been likened to an ice cream shop. But we especially enjoy sitting outdoors, as if we were in Paris or Naples, Italy. They have top quality imported Italian meats, cheeses, olive oils, tomato pastes. The sandwiches are served on imported French baguettes. The salads,... More

This was a plan B stop as a local tea spot was not taking customers due to an event! We walked over with my friends 94 yr old mum. Once seated we were recognized but after that we apparently were forgotten. Menus not explained as waiter had heavy accent. They appeared rushed & just didn't want to take time. Food... More

Fabulous salad and great specialty sausage sandwich. Iced cappuccino was Devine. The veranda was pleasant and allowed a great view of foot traffic on 3rd. Will go again.

....service can be hectic and at times rude. They serve standard American italianate food and are unable to modify to present real Italian dishes. If you like that old "Neapolitan speciality" soup and sandwiches, you might just find something you like.

From the moment we walked into this place we feel like we were transported to a Italian cafe. The staff is incredibly attentive. The server created a lunch for us in four courses. We had beef carpaccio, home made fettuccini with home made meatballs & sauce, a burrata cheese salad with Serrano ham & insalata de Mare. Each course served... More

Enjoyed our food and server. Time to pay, we offered a credit card. Our cards are all chip cards. The proprietor took our card and returned to say card would not work. Pretty bizarre as we had used our card at Publix 20 minutes before..I gave him another and he returned again card would not work. He said it asked... More

Just like in Italy. ....we can't start or day without a proper espresso and cappuccino. At Dolce & Salato we enjoyed breakfast, the croissants and cakes are just like in Italy. I had a fantastic cake, typical of Naples (where one of the owners is from). It tasted just like something mamma made at home, with a delectable ricotta filling!... More
