We went twice recently. The half price menu is a pretty good deal and the entrees we had both times were pretty good. The sign out front says half price with a reservation but both times we went they showed us a code we were supposed to use on our smart phone, and I kind of asked why we had to do that and they just let us in without. Hardly anyone there, waiters standing around. It seems like a dumb policy. Another complaint, the bread they brought with olive oil was unbelievably stale and hard.
And finally, on the negative side, there is another Italian restaurant right beside it, diners from the two sitting not more than 10 feet apart outside, and both restaurants are playing their own music. I found that to be not at all pleasant. Competing Italian music, Frank Sinatra on one side, Andrea Bocelli on the other. Too much.

We didn’t want to go fancy because we weren’t dressed for the part, so we popped into L’Olivo for pasta and pizza. It’s an affordable place to eat on 5th and you can still watch the Ferraris and Bentleys go by. We had a really nice meal here and the calzone was very good. A nice vibe and the staff were very welcoming. Recommend as an inexpensive option

Food was OK my wife had the seafood pasta and salad . Salad was nice sized and the meal was fine. I had the Chicken Marsala and the chicken was very bland. The marsala sauce was minimal at best. Our waiter couldn't seem to communicate with us to well, His name started with an X and was pronounced as John. He was pleasant enough but I had a bowl of pasta e fagioli and it came 1/2 full(and I am being generous), when I asked for a bit more he said he would have to charge me. WHen I asked if I could order garlic bread, he said they don't do that. I asked if I could have bread with some olive oil, parmesan and pepper flakes it took a couple tries to get it right and I ended up making my own.

Don’t be fooled by the 20% off bait. They just add 20% gratuity onto the bill for below par service and food.
The food is awful and is the place is a mess from top to bottom. Our server was a nice guy but clearly didn’t have a clue. After the 2 hour ordeal was over and everyone had finally eaten. We refused to pay the gratuity. The owner came over aggressively and with a bit of a back and forth and him acting like a petulant teenager he amended the bill and we was on our way.
It was clear from the beginning a family table of 14 wasn’t welcome and as we saw this ‘establishment’ couldn’t cope with it. Which is not good enough and I would recommend if the you the owner have the tome to drag your head out of your own backside and read this then you should close down.

We were approached by the hostess as we walked by and told that the menu was half price between 4-6 pm. We came back and ate dinner at 5:30. When we got the bill nothing was 50% off. When we inquired we were told we hadn’t asked for a 50% menu or had a reservation. None of which was told to us. The waiter said he would adjust the bill after we expressed our frustration. When he brought the bill back, one item was still 100%, and other items were reduced but not 50%. For example a $20 hamburger was $12. I was so annoyed I gave up trying to speak with these people and just paid the bill to get the hell out of the dishonest, shady establishment. Stay away from this place!!

My husband has been in Naples since 1969 and I have been in Naples since 1999. We decided to play "tourist" and pop into this place for a late lunch snack and drinks. We ordered drinks and food when the waitress came to us. She did bring our beer an wine. Every table around us had flipped and all had gotten food, some even paying their bill, before we ever got our food order. 45 minutes later my husband asked what is going on since all we ordered were meatballs and a salad, she said it's coming. Really??? When we got the "meatballs and Caesar salad" we received the Caesar and calamari. When my husband said we ordered meatballs not calamari our waitress just starred at us. At this point we are starving and my husband said forget it we'll just eat it. My husband then took the lemon, squeezed it over the calamari and picked up a piece. The waitress came back with cold meatballs and said, "That calamari is someone else's. If you eat it, I'm charging you." To which my husband said, "Take it." She did and gave food that had been touched to ANOTHER TABLE! When the bill came... we were charged for the calamari and not the meatballs! At least she got our beer and wine to us and on time! Comical experience and we will not return!

Had an incredible late lunch/early dinner and the service was phenomenal. Napoleon was not just attentive but made recommendations that caused us to change what we were originally going to order and it was well worth listening to him.
The meatballs and the Bruschetta as appetizers were delicious. The Prosciutto di Parma pizza was amazing and the light topping of olive oil made this truly unique. Also instead of flour, semolina was used for the bread - the texture and taste was wonderful.
Overall had a phenomenal dining experience.

SCAM. Beware!! Don’t Believe They Have Your Item On hand!!! They had a flagger to capture business off the sidewalk and she was hawking their lobster roll which is why we chose them. 2 people ordered fish and chips with Cole slaw. We ordered a pizza and the lobster roll. 30 minutes in the server told us there was no Cole slaw. I told him to be sure they had lobster roll. When he brought out the fish 20 minutes later it was fried but still raw. The pizza came next. 10 minutes later he returned to tell me they were Out Of Lobster Roll! When I asked for the manager I was told they don’t come in until later. BEWARE

I was kindly welcomed and that always does the solo traveler good. Quickly got some bread with oil, as well as my ordered drink. Then wait, wait and wait again. After waiting almost an hour (and twice apologizing from the staff ) I gave an ultimatum: The pizza in five minutes or I'll walk away. Timer set. After 5 minutes I got up and wanted to walk away when there was still a pizza. Reasonable pizza, but too salty and the garnish was unevenly distributed over the pizza. The bill came unsolicited (and therefore quickly).

Was looking for an early dinner and ran across L'Olivio. They were advertising entree's for $20 with soup or salad from 4-6. We gave it a try with my wife ordering the salmon and myself the steak medallions. We both had a salad. The presentation was excellent as well as the entree's. The salmon was on a bed of sweet potato with I believe orange. My wife loves salmon, and this was among the top. I enjoyed a Naples Beach draft craft beer. I noticed on their sign, drink specials at the bar, which I believe was all day with $3 bee, and $5 mix drinks, among others that I can't recall.

They promoted Happy Hour Specials which included half price cocktails and a Margherita pizza for $8.50. We specifically asked if the menu price for cocktails would be half off. The waitress said yes and then told us the $8.50 pie did not have real mozzarella. We would have to purchase a $16 pie to get that. The cocktails were awful and she charged us full menu price. On a 95+ temp day, we waited more than 20 minutes for water after asking for it twice. The pizza special was awful.

Spaghetti Bolognese very good, added 2 wonderful meatballs. Meatballs with requested mozzarella topping very good, took some home for later. Caesar salads left something to be desired-dressing not up to par. Will return next year!

We went to L'Olivo for my husband's birthday. The food was delicious, and the waitress was very pleasant. However, when we were getting ready to leave, our waitress came up and said the manager was wondering if we'd like dessert since it was my husband's birthday. We thought that meant he was offering us a dessert on the house. So we were very surprised when it showed up on our bill--$8 for two scoops of ice cream. When we said we thought the manager was offering us a free dessert, they took off $4 for one scoop, but didn't take off the 7% tax on that item. It wasn't a huge amount extra we had to pay, but we were disappointed.

For a family or other larger group on a budget, L’Olivo presents a nice opportunity for a reasonable dinner on high-priced 5th Avenue in Naples. Their $19.99 three-course special offers salad/soup, entree and dessert. Last night the soup was cream of spinach, which one of our party had and enjoyed. Entrees included modest-sized chicken dishes (marsala, parm, or piccata) (oddly, all served with mashed potatoes and not pasta) and shrimp scampi, among others. All were good, not great. Dessert (one option only) last night was tiramisu. The service was fine and the heating torches made outside dining on a chilly night quite comfortable.
The pizzas looked and smelled great, but we didn’t have any on this, our first, visit.
All in all, O’Livo is not the place to go for a memorable meal. But dinner for three adults, with glasses of wine, was less than $100 and there are not many (not any?) decent restaurants on that street where one could say that.

We mainly just wanted a respite from shopping on an overcast day and were treated to a terrific Italian lunch. The wine menu looked good, but went for the cucumber cooler. Delicious and not too sweet. Lasagna has a highly flavorful sauce. Friendly and efficient service.
