Lackluster service by Brian to start. We must have ordered the wrong thing even though it was their most expensive items on the menu. It just was not good and we both said it was barely edible. Purple rice was flavorless, the side carrots were...not cooked at all, and the fish was just over room temperature when served. The asparagus was also barely cooked and flavorless. Spoke with Anna, Manager, who apologized for our experience and offered us a dessert. At $50 for one of the worst lunches the two of us have eaten...a dessert is not going to make up for this especially since it was a celebration lunch and special occasion.More

My wife and I set out to meet up with a few of her clients in Mount Dora. We arrived in town. Went on a tour hour boat cruise with Rusty Anchor boat tours. ( wonderful trip) then made our way to the Goblin Market....We had many of our friends speak so highly of the eatery. So we made the reservation. Wow! Atmosphere, service and food were spot on! We all were so delighted. We are coming back in December. You will not be disappointed.More

We decided to have lunch at the Goblin Market based on reviews that we had seen on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed Firstly the ambience difficult to pin down because we felt at home. My wife says it’s cozy, my daughter says it felt...like home and my son … well he was hungry! The service was excellent in the moment we arrive to the restaurant, through our lunch and to when we left. The waiter was quite knowledgeable about the menu and his recommendation of the “blacked pork” was spot on! A few Irish Cheddar Burgers accompanied by home made lemonade and some great Riesling capped off a scrumptious lunch. Looking forward to a return visit, and explore the dinner and wine menus. Of course, we will be staying somewhere within walking distance!More

We had an amazing lunch…the food was wonderful, the service was attentive and they served a very healthy pour of the red wine that I ordered. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back for dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Great place.

I was recently in the Mount Dora area for business and had the opportunity to schedule a business meeting at this charming little restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Upon arrival we were seated in the upstairs dining area adjacent to the bar. The...service was prompt and efficient and the lunch menu varied. I chose the Club Sandwich which was huge and delicious. The prices are reasonable and fair for a restaurant of this caliber. I would not hesitate to return to this restaurant because I would love to give it a try for dinner and belly up to the bar for a while. Absolutely worth a visit!More

Interesting little restaurant. We came here for lunch based on other reviews and we weren’t disappointed. We arrived around 12:30 and were seated immediately. Our server Busco was great. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had the blackened pork loin that came with purple...rice, candied jalapeños and chimichurri sauce and it was really good. Pork was cooked perfectly, the jalapeños were awesome and the sauce had a nice brightness to it. My wife had the Goblin Club which she enjoyed. It was also big enough for her to take half of it to go. The house made chips were also nicely cooked. If we’re ever in Mount Dora again we would definitely return for another visit.More

Early dinner for two on a Wednesday (off season) With a reservation we were promptly seated at an upstairs table by a bookcase. (There are books everywhere.) A reservation, even off season, is highly recommended at this very popular Mt. Dora eatery. The restaurant has...multiple eating areas and a very cool bar (also upstairs) Service was very good. Our waiter was personable, attentive and especially enthusiastic with several of his menu recommendations. For the most part the food was delicious. The Irish Whiskey Onion Soup, a different take on an old standard, was very tasty. If the word gets out, the French may very well consider Irish whiskey instead of white wine as the soup's alcohol ingredient. My Cheshire Pork Chop entree was cooked to medium rare perfection and was also very good. My wife chose the Filet Napoleon (advertised as "twin medallions of beef tenderloin portobello mushroom, gorgonzola, spinach, sun-dried tomato, shallot, porcini bordelaise" as her entree. It turned out to be a mistake. That night, at least, the rest of the ingredients were completely overwhelmed by the blue cheese. It's hard to know, after only this one experience, if this entree is always prepared in this fashion, or if it was a mistake. (In retrospect, we probably should have sent the entree back, because my wife (a bleu cheese lover BTW) just couldn't eat it. I should note that all of the entrees are served with a choice of salad, a vegetable and a starch. All in all, we enjoyed our dinner at The Goblin Market. We'll head back on our next trip to the lovely Mount Dora.More

The food is absolutely amazing! Something for everyone. Pleasantly surprised to see duck, quail and trout on the menu. I selected the trout and it was perfectly done and served with crisp veggies and purple rice. Another dish at our table was the Asiago chicken...with mashed potatoes and this was a very creative combination of ingredients. Prime rib was on spot and the temperature as requested. Don’t pass up the whiskey onion soup! Craft drink menu is awesome.More

What an wonderful restaurant and bar. Hidden behind beautiful plants and patio lights, you have to try this place. French onion soup and escargot were delicious. The cocktails were top notch as the ice was ha d crushed. Classic, masculine environment.

You should be able to just walk in. They get busy but it’s not necessary for you to get a reservation.
