Something for Everyone

My husband and I ate her for brunch while visiting Miami Beach. We stayed at the Marriott Stanton in 2nd and we walked to The Front Porch Cafe. It was about 12-13 blocks up Ocean Drive. The traffic between 5th and 15th is closed off, so walking was easy to navigate. We arrived at 9:30 and only waited about 20-30min which seemed to be average wait time for others before and after us. We were not able to make a reservation ahead of time - first come first serve here. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The breakfast menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. I ordered Avocado Toast and my husband ordered a typical egg, bacon, pancake breakfast combo. Everything tasted good, and the service was quick and friendly. This is also a very affordable dining option in Miami Beach with portion sizes to match the value. I would recommend dining here for brunch.

The best place for breakfast and fish tacos

I absolutely think this is the best place to eat on ocean drive . We had breakfast here daily and on one day one of the waiters i believe had a bad day however when we informed the manager of the unacceptable service she really made it up to us. Try the whole grain pancakes which was my favorite. I highly recommend this place and will surely return when we come back to South Beach.

I have made repeated visits to Front Porch Cafe and have never been disappointed in any way. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The servers work as a team. They are considerate, attentive and pleasant. Breakfast is served all day. The Happy Hour, 4-7, is a bargain and offers a variety of menu items to suit any taste. The dinner menu has something for everyone. The food is generously portioned, fresh and served hot, always. Front Porch is nestled in the less busy area of Ocean Dr., so the dining experience is more quiet and relaxed. The ambiance is comfortable and with ample spacing between tables. The indoor dining room is cozy. Front Porch continues to exceed my expectations. A must experience if you go to South Beach.

Very good food in a great outdoor setting

Had dinner with a group of five here and the food was excellent. Fresh grouper was amazing. Only downside was that our server was easily confused and clearly frustrated with us (and I don't think we were that confusing) ... and it took a very long time to get our meals despite repeated assurances that it would be right out.

Basic Breakfast

Read all the great reviews so had to try since we were in the area. Not what I expected food wasn’t hot just warm. If your going to order juices better to get a large instead of a small because the small comes in a very little glass saves you from having to pay double no refills on any of the juices. The only thing nice was the outdoor seating area. And they do charge you a gratuity already adding in the bill.

Literally don’t understand these 5 star reviews? Caveat- only dined here one time and had one menu item, the green eggs. I left feeling like I could have 100% made this meal for myself and probably do a better job. Food took over 30 minutes to come out. Side salad came with giant pieces of romaine lettuce that were unchopped with some store bought looking dressing. Gluten free toast came with butter packets (butter packets at a restaurant that’s not a diner??!). At least the mimosa was fantastic.

Great spot for weekday brunch!

Stopped here for brunch on a Monday. The 30 minute wait time was actually only 10 minutes. We sat outside on the “front porch”. Tables are all very nicely spaced and they have heaters for cooler weather. Staff is very friendly and all wearing masks. Server greeted us and waited on us in a timely fashion. Food came out quickly, even my special order combining several items from various parts of the menu. Portions were huge. Only drawback is that while soy and almond milk are available, but no chocolate syrup to make chocolate milk. Would definitely consider making this a regular stop on our trips down here.

Great place for breakfast

We visited here on the recommendation of our Duck Tour host and it was great. We sat outside but you can sit inside too. Extensive menu and what we had was all delicious. Free coffee refills are available. Fruit comes with some of the items on the menu and was very tasty. Good place to go if you are on Ocean Drive but there is so much choice that you may find other similar places and prices too.

Worth Every Minute...

of the wait to get a table! Though the line was long, we put our name in, sat out front for a bit, then had a beverage at the bar before brunch... time to enjoy the ambiance of the place. Our waiter, Erik H, was terrific, perfectly gracious & accommodating! The 4 of us each had different delicious menu items, fairly priced & served in good time. Erik H. seemed to anticipate our table needs before we knew them, even the best cocktails. We highly recommend this place on your visit to Miami Beach!

We visited the front porch cafe customer service was nothing short of amazing. Marcio was our server he was very hospitable, he made sure our time at the restaurant was perfect. He brought out food out fresh he made sure we had everything we needed. Marcio even gave us dental floss. The nicest person you could ever meet. He gave us a 5 star experience we love him. If you come to south beach you have to go to Front porch cafe and ask for Marcio.

Poor food, bad service

Don’t think I’ll come back here again. It seems their resting on their laurels and previous levels of quality and service. Spoiler Alert: No one wants to eat their migas full of egg shells with a side of smirky service. Oof… We loved this place once.

Almost a must stop on Ocean Drive

Stopped in at the Front Porch twice. The first occassion was for late afternoon happy hour cocktails and appetizers. The cocktails were very good and reasonable during happy hour. It also is a fun place to go during that time. But, their real claim to fame is breakfast and lunch. I had their Migas with sausage which was delicious. Like most places at SB, they will add the service charge to your bill. Regardless, service was fast and friendly. If you go on the weekend, you may have many people in front of you. Put your name in and tell them you are going for a walk down Ocean Drive. They will not cross you off the wait list if they call you and you did not return yet.

Decent place to eat

Good breakfast and lunch spot. Food is good not outstanding but good. My 3rd time here and each time they were out of breakfast potatoes u would think they realize they need more breakfast potatoes. Service is decent. reliable place to come when hungry

Very annoyed

Based on the reviews this was a restaurant I had to check out. I ordered 2 blackened tacos for my appetizer and it was good. My main course ordered was a ribeye steak, eggs with cheese, home fries, and French toast. I couldn't finish the french toast because it was very dry and cold I had t wash it down with my orange juice. Everything else was good so I wasn't going to complain but when it was time to check out I was told checks couldn't be split. I was not told they would take multiple payment methods from everyone in the party to cash out the check, so I paid for everyone's meal at my table. I'm complaining because the lack of information given caused an inconvenience for me. I was also told this ‘no splitting checks policy’ was very common in the Miami Beach area. I have dined at 6 different 5-star restaurants including Olivers Bistro and LT Steak & Seafood and they all allowed us to split the checks, so that was clearly not a good response to my complaint.

Another lovely lunch

Another trip to Miami, another lunch at The Front Porch Cafe and it disappoint. As we were there on a week day it was nice and quiet, so we didn’t have to wait for a table and our order was taken really quickly. I had one of the eggs dish and my friend had one of the variations of club sandwiches. Both dishes were fairly large portions but they were very good quality. The eggs usually come with a potato hash side, unfortunately this wasn’t available but was substituted with fries. The service here is always attentive and food to a good standard. Be back again soon.
