From the online reviews, we expected this restaurant to serve some of the best food this side of Italy itself, and though the pasta was very good, we did not find all the dishes as exceptional as most others who have written reviews. The restaurant is quite small, so you should be prepared to wait outside even if you make a reservation (and don't even think about going without one). We waited 30 minutes, and met other who were waiting close to an hour. The restaurant did offer complimentary Prosecco though to those of us standing and waiting, which was a nice touch at least. The staff was very friendly, the coffee was excellent, and the atmosphere most cozy. If you don't mind waiting, it can be a very nice restaurant for a romantic dinner, and the pricing is extremely reasonable.

Love at first sight! As we entered the restaurant you could smell the home made pasta, the freshly baked bread, authentic tomato sauce and the perfume of basil and oilo di olive. In our effort to try as many dishes as possible we ate more than we should :) but every one of their dishes was excellent. Our server also recommended us to try their Valpolicella Ripasso wine which was great and in a very affordable price. Grazie per l’accoglienza. We will most likely come back :)

There's a reason Pane e Vino gets such high ratings. Its food is authentic Italian, served by waiters who know what they are doing. The pastas are outstanding, and the fish fresh and perfectly prepared. Going to Pane e Vino is like going to Italy for a few hours.

This is definitely an outlier review to the norm. We had an ok meal w good but very slow service, but ended up with way too much stress when they asked and we regrettably said we really didn’t like their fresh made pasta. Nice people, ambiance, staff, owner on site, fresh pasta—But—we really didn’t like the pasta. The sauce was good but both my wife and I didn’t enjoy our pasta (bolanaise and lamb Ragu (sp) just too dense and very firm. With homemade pasta we expected silky thin pasta but this was extremely firm and tough. The waiter said we were the first to not like the pasta and we told them we loved the place, but not the pasta. He wanted to remake my dish for me but I said that wasn’t necessary. I thought we were settled but Ultimately he brought new new dish—the chef INSISTED-which was better but still not great. Then the women owner came over to apologize and ask if second dish was OK—we tried to relay the overall experience was ok but we just really didn’t like the pasta itself. It seemed apparent that wasn’t acceptable and she said basically no one has ever complained about the pasta. I said I guess I’m the first—and confessed that it was really one off the worst fresh pastas I’ve eaten. They offered to comp the dish (es) and we said that wasn’t necessary—we were just trying to provide them feedback. Then the husband owner came over and also apologized. We said all is fine—just really didn’t enjoy the pasta. He wanted to comp our entire meal—we said it wasn’t necessary.—we were just trying to provide feedback to them, not get a free meal. We argued a bit—he wanted to comp us and we said no— we just wanted to provide feedback that the pasta wasn’t up to our expectations. In the end we agreed we’d leave $50 for the servers. Anyway, in the end—very nice owners and tried overly hard to please us—we had a decent experience but just didn’t care how they made pasta and the owners had a very difficult time excepting we just didn’t like their pasta. We were trying to be truthful in providing them feedback when asked—but they basically couldn’t come to grips we just did t like their pasta. I read a lot of reviews that really love this place—and it was ok for us too— but for us the pasta itself was just not very good—and the owners don’t take constructive comments very well.

We happened to be walking and noticed the fresh pasta being made in the window, read the reviews which were good and made a reservation for 2 days out. The restaurant did not disappoint. We ordered the bruschetta, mixed green salad and pasta with fresh tomato sauce in the parmigiana wheel (see photo). Pasta was the highlight, cooked to perfection, sauce was delicious and the parmigiana was excellent. Not sure I would order the bruschetta again, disappointing compared to the rest of the meal. Definitely recommend you make a reservation, we witnessed many people being turned away. Decent wine list with reasonable prices.

Never disappoints ... from the bread to the desert everything is top rate. Wait staff is friendly and attentive, even the woman making the fresh pasta in the front window was friendly and funny ( thanks for the prep tips !) Make a reservation as it’s quite popular, with locals as well as informed tourists but you never rushed.

So this restaurant comes with a great reputation reviews out there voted this place as the number one Italian restaurant in Miami Beach, Try it for your self because you will agree. What makes a restaurant great is not only the food but also the service , I tell you there’s competition there because I don’t know which one was the best the food or the service , they were both outstanding. Mostly everyone there is Italian and their accent is absolutely beautiful like our awesome waitress Luda vica sorry if I butchered your name , she was really sweet attentive and suggested great entrees for us so bona será Luda !! PLEASE MAKE A RESERVATION!! if not you will be staring at the lady by the window making fresh gnocchi for a very long time, you’ll see what I’m talking about . Pascual one of the owners wow he was so nice and really catered to our needs He answered our email quickly after making the reservation. and I forgot the ladies name She to is one of the owners I think but she made me feel like she was my aunty that I met for the first time in Italy. I know is weird but you have to go the restroom its pretty cool . The place is super cute with a romantic vibe nothing fancy but it’s perfect for when you want to look your best for a date or a celebration . Food -here we go make sure you take small bites because you will want to savor each bite as you close your eyes and try to guess what’s in it . I had the carpelleti Verdi tartufati which for me is just another word for heaven . Then gnocchi al Barolo was amazing I mean this food is so good that I wish I was food critic so I can describe it beautifully .. so the moral of the story is please try this place . For dessert you have to try the tiramisu and Apple something , it brings tears to my eyes as I remember the taste of it . Ok the end this time is for real.

It doesn’t get much better than this. A tiny quaint cozy hole in the wall complete with a man rolling homemade pasta in the window in the midst of the hustle and bustle of south beach. Our waiter Julio was AMAZING. From service to food to wine ...he did it all. He tailored the dishes to our exact liking and made recommendations to fit our palates. We had the most mouth watering pasta and polenta dishes paired with such an amazing affordable super Tuscan wine that I did a double take on the price to make sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me. We splurged and ordered two bottles! One for me and one for my husband. A great spot to celebrate every day dining or a special occasion. We live in Miami Beach and I felt like a transported tourist for an evening. Highly recommend! We may make this our weekly date night spot. See you in 7 days!

A quaint little restaurant in the middle of lots more touristy type establishments. There are only a few tables inside and a small number outside but they have a very homey feel. Nice fresh bread basket with oil and balsamic to go with the caprese that we shared. The mozzarella was excellent. For mains I had pasta filled with ricotta and feta in a black truffle sauce (see pictures) which was very very freshly made. My partner had salmon with arugula, tomato and a balsamic reduction. This was delicious. We washed it down with a bottle of Valpolicella Ripasso which was reasonable both in price and taste. For dessert I had apple tart which was ok, pastry was nice but it could have done with more apples and my partner had panacotta which lacked flavour but was very creamy with a nice coulis. Service was very good and the bill again was reasonable. Given how busy it was I would suggest reservations.

BEST restaurant in Miami without a doubt. Service is amazing and there's no way to describe the food especially pasta which is home-made cooked to perfection every time and served by knowledgeable polite staff members in a beautiful ambiance... Athena the owner is awesome and she always makes sure all the guests are well taken care of. Me and my wife go here whenever we want great Italian food or whenever we're celebrating something (birthday, anniversary). As someone who lives in Miami Beach and works in the hospitality industry as a manager I cannot recommend this place enough!!! Love Pane & Vino. Missed going there during this pandemic but they reopened just recently and we just had another amazing dinning experience tonight! If you are visiting Miami you MUST try what this place has to offer.

This is such a quaint small restaurant in such a busy place. It felt like we were in the living room of an Italian family, when we ate here. The furnishings and decor were lovely and extended into the washrooms which were worth visiting! The menu was extensive but not too much choice. The lady making pasta in the window was also very friendly and what she was making looked delicious, so we tried some of these. The portion sizes were just right for us and everything we had was absolutely delicious. The staff were all really friendly and our waiter was very helpful in helping us to make our choices. The tiramisu was very interesting , they bring a coffee pot to your table with a metal try with the sponge fingers and pour coffee onto them, followed by the cream from the top of the coffee pot. Very quirky. This was worth every penny . This is so much better than the Italian restaurant we tried on our previous visit which was on Espanola Way.

You can watch Elena making the fresh pasta in the front while you eat delicious pasta dishes. My favorite is with the pistachio sau e. Reserve early. It's small and books fast. Sometimes you can be lucky with a walk-in. All staff is from Italy, adding to the authenticity.

Perfect pasta. Nuff’said. Almost. Also; Perfect waiter, perfect pasta, perfect place. No more to say. You have to book a table a day in advance - definitively worth it!!! Ps; inside might be a bit chilly (due to fresh pasta being made right before you, wear a sweater and enjoy perfection!!!)!

All I can say is BRAVO!!!! My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this gem and had the best meal of our vacation at this cozy spot. The food was AH-MAZING & the service was great too! We had the parmigiana, spaghetti (served out of a huge wheel of cheese - delicious & perfectly balanced) & a green ravioli that I can’t remember the name of. Everything was so good that we had to try the dessert... the panettone was to die for! I’m not usually a huge fan but it came with a sauce that took it to another level! The tiramisu was excellent as well BUT if you go, you must try the parmigiana, spaghetti & panatone. I’m still dreaming about the food!

Our first time here, the owner, Athena, gave us the insight on why the most simplest meal can taste elegant and special...the spaghetti with olive oil is finished with Peperoncino from Calabria. Try the eggplant Parmesan for an appetizer and the pappardelle with lamb ragu if you want an experience of a lifetime. The pasta was handmade by Elena, with so much skill and love. We went back a second time and loved the gnocchi special; it just might be better than your Nonna’s recipe. Please make sure to try the tiramisu! Both Julio and Leo made a wonderful presentation of assembling the scrumptious ingredients right at our table, a perfect finish to a perfect meal. Eating here is like finally finding your long lost Italian family.
