This is our third trip to the Gates Hotel and daily breakfast at Ola. The food is always amazing, the service is always very friendly and expedient, The restaurant is always very clean. There is even outside seating. This last trip Luis Balboa but was...especially gracious and took excellent care of us every morning for breakfast. I highly recommend this place!More

The menu is but a small shadow of its former glory due to the pandemic. BUT every single dish they have on it is OUT of this world. Meatballs, lobster empanada, octopus, even the churrasco. We were really impressed. Don’t think it is the restaurant’s...fault but the bottle of Pintia we ordered was swill. Gone completely bad.More

We have been going to Ola since it opened and have always loved it. This was our first time in their new location. The added space and retro feel make it even better. We initially went years ago because of the fantastic ceviche and Latin...flavors. This is the first time we have ordered the filet mignon. It was hands down the best steak we have ever had. It was also a unique presentation. It is not a typical round filet but a 9” long 3” wide strip about an inch thick. This allows the seasoning, chimichurri, to permeate the entire steak. It was topped with crab meat. We had it rare, and it was melt in your mouth tender. ItMore

My wife and I eat here on suggestion of our club valet. It is right across the street from the one hotel or something like that on Collins. I had the fire and ice as an appetizer as my wife had a salad. I would...highly recommend the fire and ice ceviche as it was amazing. We had two drinks which were very strong. I had the tuna and my wife had a pasta disc which were very good, but the best thing we had was the deconstructed key lime pie. Don’t even think about not getting that. It’s incredibly good. Bill was not cheap but food and service were very good and I would highly recommend.More

Great location, setting and food. We sat outside and enjoyed great service and food. The three of us each tried a different entree and we were impressed with the quality.

We were staying in The Gates hotel. It seems this restaurant has relocated to the hotel but the website and trip advisor site and photos are not up to date. For hotel guests there is no explanation about the journey Ola has been on and...why it’s now located in the Gates hotel. No information is provided to guests to promote this place. What a missed opportunity. You can sit indoors, or outside by the hotel valet parking kiosk and water on Collins Avenue. A few plants seclude you from the busy road, but there is a lot of traffic noise. Unfortunately for me this was like the breakfast buffet restaurant morphing into high end dining in the evening. I could still see the pancakes and bacon buffet in my minds eye, so some repositioning needs to be done here by the hotel and restaurant management. On the one evening we dined here, not knowing anything about this restaurant, and not being given any introduction by the staff, we simply thought we were eating in the Hilton hotel restaurant. Apologies for our ignorance but it was night 2 of our 5 night stay and we were jet lagged from the UK. We ordered salmon, which came with quinoa. Very tasty. Huge portion. Neighbouring diners were raving about the Ceviche, but I’m not a fan so can’t comment. Please do more to promote Ola to the hotel guests so we have the opportunity to be more excited about dining here. Now that I have belatedly done some research on Ola it explains why the restaurant was busy every night.More

We go here every time we are in Miami and we always get the same thing , the steak.Even though it is pricey it is worth every penny. It has a crab sauce on top and the steak is the most tender I have ever...eaten . I have tried lots of steak places. We got the quatro leches for dessert, also wonderfulMore

New location for OLA this year, but same good Cuban menu with a mix of Cuban cousin and some international additions. The Fish Tacos are a great starter! Last night, I had the rack of lamb. Huge portion (!) - but very well prepared. Overall...- solid delivery!More

The concierge at our hotel recommended Ola. Turns out it was a block and a half away from our hotel. Easy walk. Once we sat down it was obvious we were in for a treat. Our server was Héctor. Very attentive and concerned for our...enjoyment of the meal. Their specialty is Nuevo Latino cuisine. We started with a bottle of dry Spanish wine, wonderful. The first two courses were ceviche then we followed with octopus then tuna and a vegetarian course. Everything was spot on, so flavorful, nicely sized, and perfectly prepared. Splurging, we asked their sommelier Albert for a recommendation and he suggested a nice South American Syrah . Wonderful pairing for the entrées. Very happy to of been there and highly recommended.!More
