We enjoyed the meal we had at A Fish Called Avalon last year, so we went again this year. The food and the service were excellent. AFCA is very different from the string of noisy restaurant between 7th and 12th Avenues. The others are crowded and play super-loud techno music. AFCA has live music and a much more gracious atmosphere.... More

The evening started off delightfully at the bar for a few drinks. Bartenders very courteous. Polite hostess came to get us when our outside table was ready. Our server, Angel, was very attentive but not overbearing. Very polished wine list with our choice being the Prisoner - one of my all time favorite wines. We started off with the Shrimp... More

Our group of four had dinner here last Sunday, July 10th. We had such bad service from our waiter, it was truly unbelievable. After our food came whenever we'd ask for anything (another knife, more sauce, more water, another drink) it was as if we were truly getting on his nerves. He was an older gentlemen who appeared seasoned enough... More

Dear Guest, I am deeply sorry for the unacceptable service that you experienced. I appreciate your feedback and am personally looking into the situation to ensure that it is not repeated. On South Beach, including gratuities in the bill is standard practice, but there is never—particularly at our restaurant—any defense for poor service. Please come again so we can demonstrate... Great seafood right off the beach. My family and I really enjoyed this place. We were too full for desert unfortunately. Prices were responsible. Service was great.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking time to send that resounding endorsement of our cuisine, service, and location. We are eager to know your take on our scrumptious desserts, though. When you come again, I’ll put together a sampler plate just for you. More

One of the best seafood meals I have had in a long time! I had the macadamia crusted snapper with spinach risotto and it melted in your mouth. Based on the waiters recommendation, I tried the Mediterranean Octopus appetizer. You simply MUST try this. I don't even like octopus, but this was like nothing I've ever eaten - grilled to... More

This place came 'highly recommended' by one of the Loews Hotel concierges ....... I was almost wary of his gushing....... It was fine really, better than many along that strip, but probably not the best, service ok, food quite ok, fair price, a little higher than most probably. Did I think the concierge had an interest ? ....probably.....

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking time to write. A little skepticism can be useful, but I assure you that the concierge’s suggestion resulted from positive experience, not an inducement. Our 25 successful years on Ocean Drive speak volumes about our quality, service, and value. When you’ve tried the others, please come back to us. We’re confident you’ll be wowed. More

My husband and I went during the 4th of July holiday. It sits right on the corner and the outdoor seating area is a great place for people watching. The food was amazing and definitely worth every penny.

Great food, professional staff front to back, security to prevent sidewalk solicitors. Best part is complete non smoking. Recommend sitting first row on terrace.

My friend and I wandered down Ocean Drive looking for somewhere to have dinner. We settled on A Fish Called Avalon because the menu looked good, and there was live music right outside. We both enjoyed our meals, and my tuna was seared to perfection. The people and car watching was also fun. Great location and food!

We had a fantastic evening here. The service was great, the food was amazing and the live music made it even better. It may be a little more expensive than some of the restaurants on the strip but it is worth every extra penny.
