So I made reservations here for my boyfriends birthday on 9/7. The restaurant, the atmosphere, the service, and the staff were all absolutely wonderful. However, we both became ill after dinner. The birthday boy ordered....lobster bisque, free range citrus chicken, and praline chocolate lava cake. I ordered....lobster bisque, seafood risotto, and the praline chocolate lava cake as well. The lobster... More

Having seen the ratings on Yelp and other recommendations we decided to try this restaurant.. Unpleasantly shocked at the quality of food . The food tasted frozen and had a fishy smell . My spaghetti was disgusting . My husbands macadamia crusted grouper was even more so .

Dear Guest, Your enthusiastic note has made our day! Heartfelt thanks for dining with us, and for reminding others to sample our tasty Miami Spice menu that’s offered through the end of September. Although seafood plays a starring role, our talented chef prepares delectable chicken and steak dishes, too. We look forward to welcoming you again. Warm regards, Pascal Pinault,... More

The ambiance and service were good but the food was very average for the price. Salmon was small and dry. Generally everything was OK but nothing exceptional. Shan't be going back.

I have been coming here for 20 years now and I've never failed to have an enjoyable meal or a wonderful experience either at the restaurant or at the hotel. I heartily recommend the Avalon to anyone who is passing through, stopping by or staying here ...it is absolutely fantastic. Seafood dishes are superb, service fantastic and the cheesecake is... I had booked this restaurant in advance as it had been highly reviewed on trip advisor. The location was great - right next to Oceanside Drive which allowed some good people watching, and eating on the terrace was lovely. The service was also very attentive. However, for me the key factor for a restaurant is the quality of the food... More

We ordered the seafood plateau and it was totally worth the price. Everything (oysters, jumbo shrimps, mussels, lobster, king crab legs) was fresh and well prepared. It came in this cool two level platter. We were sittinng outside on the sidewalk and people waling by were definitely jealous of our meal. The hummus and bread were also a nice touch.... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking a moment to write. We’re disappointed that your dinner with us was not as you had expected.
