The pear and ricotta ravioli purses were homemade and not to be missed. Service was excellent. I will make room next time for the tiramisu.

I spent new year's eve at Locanda Restaurant in Miami Beach. The place is quite small and close to an adjacent restaurant. However, the atmosphere, food and service were amazing. We tried their pastas and they were very good. I heard about their pizzas but we just had pizzas the night prior. Will try it next time.

The spinach and riccata ravioli was amazing. the service was great and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. It is about 2 blocks from the beach, and well worth the walk for a delicious cost-effective meal.

Excellent Italian cuisine and a Pandemic survivor. I have been dining here for a number of years and was most pleased they have survived the Pandemic. I think they have the best pizza on South Beach. Each is individually made and you can tell the...difference. They have an extensive list of pizza options. But this is not just a pizza place. I almost always start with a salad. I have tried several over the years and they were good, but I usually have the La Mista which consists of a melange of leaves and chopped tomato in a light vinegarette. A number of the pastas are made from fresh pasta and are so marked. I always have their lasagna and it was as good as ever. I I have never been disappointed by any of their pasta. It is not unusual for Italian tourists to dine here. It is also family friendly and children are welcome.More

We felt like in Italy with several Italians around us and the nice service from the host. The food was excellent and the wine also was good.

This is not my first review of La Locanda, as we’ve been going there since they first opened 18 years ago! However, this was the first time we’d been for Brunch and it was a perfect Valentine’s Treat! Bartender Kyle made a terrific Bloody Mary...and I started with a mimosa. My husband chose the French Toast which he kept saying was “amazing”. I had the LaLocanda Benedict which was perfectly prepared. Sides of potatoes, sausage and bacon were also great. Last week we stopped in for dinner and enjoyed some of our favorites - Di Rucola Salad, Strozzapreti La Locanda and Mussels in tomorrow and wine sauce. We shared their dark chocolate profiteroles for dessert! I have a great full experience at La Locanda with my family some weeks ago. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was exactly what we are waiting for: Italian restaurant with soul! Not sure why this place is so well reviewed. First night we went there was only pizzas and salad available. Kitchen malfunction or possibly a chef issue. Second time the team were very friendly and efficient but the food was average at best. Classic pizza...base with uncooked toppings and my wife’s grilled salmon which she asked for well done was sent back twice for being neither grilled nor well done.More
