We called in for a quick lunch while we were passing and really glad we did. Really friendly staff, classic diner decor and fantastic food. The bucket of shrimp filled me up for the day and tasted amazing.

Lovely place for an early breakfast after the spectacular sunrise on South Beach. Open at 7:30am and happy people serve up huge plates of goodness. I had the bacon and Brie omelette and my wife had Belgian Waffles. Both were excellent. The coffee is strong,...tasty and refills are done with friendliness I love in a diner. The place has oodles of character, proper Americana! If you are Rudy, say hi. That guy has an amazing place, and he’s the friendliest man I’ve met so far in Miami. Recommended.More

This place is excellent. The interior is really authentic. The service was brilliant - even when they're busy. And the food was spot on. We all had something different - full English, pancakes, hash brown, French toast and it was all very, very good. Comfortably...the best breakfast place around.More

We enjoyed breakfast at the 11th Street Diner and loved it. Staff is great, food is good and copious and good value for money! Decor is also typical of US diner, which is nice for people visiting the US. We highly recommend!

This review is another entry in my tour of the places in south Florida where Guy Fieri has eaten at with his show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The show first aired in 2006 and it is on its 42nd season of Guy's road trips across...America where he highlights some of America's most underrated and delicious local eats. Guy visited the 11th Street Diner on the show American Classics which aired in December of 2008 with guest star, Rosie O'Donnell. Dishes he tried here included the Argentinian skirt steak, Oven Roasted Turkey, and Pork Chops topped w/ apple & raisins pork sauce. The 11th street Diner is located in a 1948 art deco aluminum sided dining car built by the Paramount Dining Company of Haledon, New Jersey. It operated as a diner in Wilkes Barr, Pennsylvania for 44 years before being dismantled and reassembled and restored in South Beach where it is right at home among all of the Art Deco architecture. The 11th Street Diner opened in Miami on September 11, 1992 where it has been serving locals and tourists alike. After our other dining plans through my friend and I ended up here and I am so glad we did because we had a wonderful experience. I have long wanted to eat here because I love diner food and I adore the Art Deco look. Inside is plenty of seating at tables and bars in the L shaped diner. On the wall are the autographed pictures of all of the famous people who have eaten here like Gloria Estefan and Will Smith. We sat in the room with the blue seats and the bar. You are dining in history! The menu was several pages long with breakfast, cold and hot sandwiches, salads, seafood, pasta, and full dinners like the turkey one Guy ate. The cocktails and milkshakes sounded amazing. I was torn but I finally chose the patty melt, made with a delicious beef patty, American cheese, and grilled onion on toast and served with fries($15.99). I made sure to save room for dessert which was a slice for their wonderfully warm spiced apple pie ala mode. I love a historic restaurant and the food and service was great. For South Beach I thought the prices were pretty reasonable, certainly less expensive than where we had planned to eat. They even have a $9.99 cocktail happy four special from 4 to 7. This place ticked all my boxes and I would definitely come again.More

I used to spend summers on South Beach with tons of family members so I'm familiar with most of the area's restaurants and things to do. This, however, was my first time at the 11th Street Diner and it certainly won't be my last. I...arrived right at opening time and was seated quickly. My server was quick, coffee and water within a minute. I ordered challah bread French Toast with bananas, strawberries and powdered sugar. Hold the whipped cream. The coffee was fresh and strong, always a plus. The food came as quick as it should have and it was delicious. Nice outside crunch to the bread, not too much egg, and the fruit was ripe and sweet. My server checked on me enough to be attentive without being pushy. I had three refills of the coffee because it was good and hot. The place filled up as I was finishing but he made sure to tell me not to hurry and enjoy my coffee so I did. All in all,a really good breakfast that I will absolutely repeat.More

We came here as they had good reviews for their burger, and they did not disappoint! I had the Havana Burger and my girlfriend had the Cowboy Burger. Both were huge and were delicious. I was stuffed after my meal but my girlfriend had room...for dessert and chose the Key Lime Pie, which was also very good! The waiter was very friendly and made good conversation, as well as making sure everything was as expected with the food. The prices weren't too bad for Miami Beach either!More

My friend and I went here twice! Our first day in Miami and our last. We just so happened to stumble across this diner by accident and what a great surprise. My turkey burger was amazing, juicy and flavorful. My friend said her burger was...also fantastic. Our last day was breakfast- I had the 3 special which involves picking eggs, a meat and starch. I choose hard fry eggs with cheese, Canadian bacon and pancakes. My friend had Nutella French toast with strawberries and we are still talking about that meal. The pancakes were fluffy and heavenly and her French toast rich and decadent, made with Challah, I think? AmazingMore

We stumbled across this place by accident and LOVED IT! My first time to an “American Diner” and it was great! The menu was extensive with lots of variety and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The meal portions were huge and the burger...was cooked to your requirements (always a bonus and a sign that it is cooked fresh!). I would recommend the Raspberry Ice Tea and Aloha Burger. Also plenty of options for alcoholic drinks, shakes and desserts.More
