The best italian restaurant in Miami. Homemade pasta, romantic place and staff is very nice. Everytime that I’m in Miami, I make sure to go to Spiga.

Our family had an outside table & our waiter rolled his eyes way too many times while taking our order. I am paying for the meal, yet this obnoxious guy doesn't answer questions & could not be any less helpful. I politely asked for him...to go light on the dressing on my salad & he rolled his eyes at me. This old guy should hang it up, he constantly spilled water when he poured it, maybe his glasses were too foggy. The food was very bland. We ate at Prime 112, Lure, Osteria del Teatro, Santornini by Georgio, Red, and others & didn't have one bad meal. This was not worth the time. They say its homemade Gnocchi, if it is, its overcooked. The cavatelli or other "homemade" pasta we ordered was too soft. The sauce had no flavor. Nice location, but poor quality food & service.More

Nice place with very good food but feels complacent and slipping in several areas. Not one to make a return visit for. Focaccia was stale, service was VERY slow (admittedly a busy time) but large tables (12-24) of families with small children always take far...longer to clear, and this was a surprise given the perceived intimate presentation of the restaurant. Decided to leave after main course and missed what looked to be a nice dessert menu.More

We ate here years ago, so decided to return. We ordered the Calamari alla Griglia, which, in addition being very small, was like eating rubber bands. The Fettuccine Gamberi was much better, with the shrimp cooked perfectly, though 4 shrimp was a negative. The Dentice...a Livornese (snapper) was over-cooked. The Jadot Chablis was great. The server put someone right next to us, despite the restaurant being empty. Service of 18% is included, but no one will tell you that, so review your bill. There are way better restaurants than this one.More

Food at acceptable standards, service unacceptable by waiter, no smile, no courtesy. We ate on terrace at Collins, very noisy, especially from bar promoting vehicles

been to this restaurant multiple times. This is a quiet Italian restaurant run by Italians . Pretty patio in front with tables . Excellent pasta dishes, each one more delicious than the next so difficult to choose. Ceasar salad was crispy and on point ....Wines by the glass could use a slight upgrade. prices are very reasonable for the quality you get . This a stellar choice if your in the mood to be transported to ItalyMore

Busy place, and for good reason. My wife got the gnocchi entrée, and I had the fettuccine dish. Both were excellent. We did share somewhat, but weren't hit with a sharing charge. Excellent homemade pasta, well worth the price.

Fantastic homemade Italian food, ambience and service. Best zucchini soup I’ve ever had. Clean, well organized and a great location. Definitely worth a visit.

The best pasta (tortelloni) I’ve had in a long time — homemade, fresh and tender. Each of us had a different pasta dish that was tasty. Definitely a place to feel fancy for indoor dining.

The carbonara tasted like it does in Italy, simply, easy and delicious meal. I would recommend the dessert sampler platter.

On a mother:daughter trip and looking for a nice restaurant to enjoy a meal. After walking out of a different restaurant we had reserved online because of the crazy nightlife atmosphere, we stumbled upon Spiga. What a delight! The host warmly greeted us and could...tell we were uncomfortable with the crazy crowds on Collins. He led us to a quaint outdoor dining space that was filled with plants and lovely lighting- and very quiet and away from the craziness on the street. Our server was well-trained, attentive and helpful. The food was amazing! Homemade pasta, reasonably priced wines, and the best tiramisu we have ever tasted!! This place is a gem!!More

I have been dining here for several years and dine several times each visit. Everything is freshly made. Their desserts are all made in house including the sorbets. These are made during the day. Each dish is not prepared and cooked until you order so...forget about fast food, but you really don’t wait long. There will be a special menu which I recommend checking. There daily soups are quite good, but if they have minestrone, get it—among the best I have ever had—my other two memorable versions are in Carmel by the Sea, CA, La Balena and Lucas. Their salads are excellent with my favorite being the Luna which is pears, tomatoes, arugula and shaved Parmesan. Doubt if you can go wrong on any. I normally don’t have a hot appetizer but one evening on this visit I had their baked asparagus Parmigiana which was excellent. I mostly stay with their pasta, but I do highly recommend their pork chop which is often on their special page. Remember, all their pasta is freshly prepared. I have yet to find one of their pasta dishes I have not enjoyed. One of my favorites are the pasta purses stuffed with cheeses and diced pears in a wonderful cream sauce with walnuts. If you have room, the desserts are worth considering. The tiramisu is always excellent as is the flan. And then there is whatever sorbet they made that day. Coconut on my last visit. The wine list is comprehensive with some good values either by the glass or the bottle. Service has always been excellent. Another Pandemic survivor that deserved to survive.More

Getting to Spiga from mid beach was a slow trek because of traffic and road construction. Spiga is a relatively small Italian restaurant in busy section of South Beach. The food was excellent and the fresh flavors focus including homemade pasta was our reward for...the much longer than expected trip. There is limited outdoor dining but we did in the end get an outdoor table which my wife and I felt essential during the Pandemic. We enjoyed wine by the glass with some decent choices. The restaurant does not provide cocktails. All in all if you don't mind the slow traffic and hustle and bustle of downtown South Beach, the restaurant offers some good eats if not the best atmosphere.More

My on-line search for an Italian Restaurant in South Beach led me to Spiga. The reviews and menu looked good so we booked our reservation. We were promptly seated and greeted by a young lady, our waiter (manager 15), and our bus boy. Bread was...brought to our table but we had to ask our waiter for olive oil, salt and pepper, instead of the standard basket of butter pats. Most Italian restaurants know to offer the choice. While the wine list is extensive, wines by the glass are hard to come by. My wife drinks Chardonnay while I enjoy a red. Due to the limited choices, she had to settle for a Brut Blanc Champagne and I chose the Chianti Classico. Both are in the B-List of our wine preferences. My wife started with the Octopus from the “Specials” menu and I had the Zuppa di Cozze & Vongole, Mussels & Clams, white wine garlic and tomato. Both were very good. For entrees, my wife had the Cernia allo Gamberi – (Sauteed Grouper, Shrimp, lemon, Prosecco and Rosemary) while I had the Rigatoni Bolognese. Both were very tasty and served hot and cooked to order. Dessert consisted of a Limoncello for my wife and a Cappuccino for me. For the next 30 minutes, I tried in vain to get our waiter’s attention to get our check. The restaurant was very busy and he was serving tables both outdoors and indoors. We were seated at a table by the front door and saw how busy they were, but no one should have to wait that long after eating to get a check. I would ask him and he would say coming up, and then forget all about us as he continued serving others. I get it that we were a party of 2 and he was catering to the parties of 6 or more scattered around, but that should not have caused us to be overlooked as we were. It took 4 different times reminding him about our check, before he delivered it with a “thanks for being so patient” to try to appease us. The food was good, but not outstanding. Next time, other Italian Restaurants along Collins Avenue in South Beach will get our businessMore
