I have eaten at Nobu before and the experience was completely different, more wholesome with great attention to service and superior food, not this time around. I get more satisfaction eating at my neighborhood sushi restaurant where the food and the service is way better....The service was hurried and the food was just ok, the rice with truffles was the only outstanding dish for the night and we ordered extensively from the menu. Eating here is expensive you should expect both service and food to be outstanding in this case it was not. The bill came with 20% tip included that explained the lack of incentive with the service. We were treated by friends so it didn't cost us anything yet still the experience was lacking both finesse and flavor. Please do yourself a favor don't spent your money in an overpriced meal with almost nonexistent service.More
We celebrated my friend's birthday here and it was a special night only outdone by the incredible food and service we experienced at Nobu. The Omakase was superb and delicious. The ambience was soothing in its Nobu style - overall we had an awesome time...here. A classic in Miami Beach.More
Not worth it , go somewhere else. Had dinner at Nobu. Asked waiter for advice on what to order. We had a bunch of appetizers. What we had was good but for just under 100 /pp went home hungry. Definitely not worth it . Go...somewhere else. Way overhyped restaurant. We have gone to the Nobu in Vegas which was still way over priced but much betterMore
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food as always with Nobu was great, the highlighting factor though was that the service was amazing. Particularly, the hostesses Elisha and Gia made sure I got a wonderful table. I also had a to go order and they...made sure everything was great. Pilar was also a great service, providing wonderful customer service, look forward to coming back soon!More
Nobu is probably no longer so en vogue as it used to be and its popularity (as well as presence is so many cities) makes it somehow less exciting. But it would be a mistake to not realise that such success usually has some reasons...and the reason here is that Nobu’s iconic dishes really are very impressive. The fact that they have been copied so many times by others (e.g. the black miso cod) does not mean the originals have lost their allure. We went for the signature omakase, precisely because it contains Nobu’s classics and were not disappointed. The amount of food is substantial but manageable and most importantly almost everything was delicious. The place itself is nicely designed and though lively, slightly less noisy than most Miami restaurants, including the nearby (excellent) Hakkasan. A very enjoyable experience.More
Had not been to Nobu since it was at the Shore Club a few years back. Then a small intimate and superior restaurant in all aspects.
At its Eden Roc / Nobu Hotel location, I called in for reservations three times to confirm waitlist for...a special anniversary. Even though it was confirmed, when I got to the restaurant there was no reservation and we were sent to the bar where after one and a half hour and two drinks we were seated at the Sushi Bar.
With 34 restaurants around the world, Nobu has become a chain restaurant not much different than a burger chain. Its Eden Roc, location with 356 seats, boasts to be the largest in the word
Accordingly, service was slow and mediocre with poorly trained staff.
No complaints about the sushi chefs but the food was no better that that you would enjoy in a neighborhood Japanese restaurant. We tried about a dozen entries out of a menu with approximately entries and nothing was WOW. We had to request clean plates after each entry as no one was paying attention to service, At the end of our dinner I requested a warm towel and after the fourth request it arrived cold. The $600-plus bill (With 20% tip already added in) arrived promptly. No such Luck with our car that took over 20 minutes wait while it was delivery to the hotel lobby. Parking is $15, plus tip with the restaurant stamp. Go elsewhere. SAYONARA!More
