Didn't have a great first impression - the restaurant is nothing to write home about - there is no charm of any kind. The waitstaff was cleaning up perhaps after the dinner crowd but that was a big turn off as well. The tables were...dirty - we had a hard time finding a clean table to wait at for our to go order. We got a cuban sandwich to go - it was reasonably priced but disappointing.More

We sat at the bar. The OJ was fresh squeezed. We had exceptional service. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. I would recommend an omelet.

Wonderful find! I was visiting Miami on vacation and stumbled upon this gem. You get a huge fresh amount of food, eggs with meat, potatoes, bread and freshly made coffee to order all for $7!!! This place is a steal and has a wonderful charm....I’ve been coming every morning for breakfast so far. Will be coming back tomorrow as well.More

Having never had Cuban food before, we decided while on vacation to give it a try. We were not disappointed. This place was nothing short of fantastic. The food choices were great, the staff was warm and friendly and very helpful, and the food quality...was top notch. Give this place a try and you too will be happy.More

On my first night in town I wanted to try a “locals” place for a meal. So I walked up from Collins hoping for a good experience. While it wasn’t bad, I was disappointed in the end. The people were nice enough, the decor kind...of plain, a couple of tables were occupied by non-tourists. I was optimistic! Wanting something lighter, I ordered a Cuban Sandwich which is really hard to mess up. I watched them take an already prepared sandwich out of a plastic bin, unwrapping the plastic wrap, and slipping it in to a press grill. The sandwich was served by itself, not fully warmed, with a little cup of yellow mustard. Far from the best Cubano I have ever had. I regret not going back for a proper dish, and giving a second opportunity to see what they are really about. Should I find myself back in Miami, I would return and try something different, if only to be fair.More

While it might not look like much, the Latin Cafe just blocks from the beach is great. Quick, friendly service. Good food.
