Cool place for appetizers. Convenient to the beach. The service was slow. The drinks were not great.

Just try it, it is lovely. I tried it for the first time and really enjoyed and the place has a lovely cosy atmosphere.

Even though we had to ask for sashimi not listed on the menu, it was great, casual sushi. Nothing super fancy. Lots of noise from the surrounding action. Good value.

First you join this place because you heard they have good sushi and fusion. And then you go back because you feel at once like an insider, when Julio, the barman coming from somewhere in between Madrid and Barcelona, took over for your well being, in serving you quite exquisite long drinks (mostly on Sake base, but very tasty even... The drinks were great, the service was good, the food was good. I went out of my comfort zone when I order since I am not a big sushi fan. But the menu has a little bit for all. The menu is not large but good prices and it's a nice little tucked away location about two blocks from the... More

South Beach is full of great restaurants. Wish we would have found this one earlier! Great dishes, especially the tempura rock shrimp. Sushi chef also made an off-menu roll for me. Hector was a great server, sharing the best dishes of the restaurant as well as the interesting history of the building. Great evening!

Limited sushi/sashimi choices and a little precious (even for a sushi place) but the robata grill choices are excellent, the salads interesting, decent maki rolls, and the service is personal and impeccable, almost like eating at a friend's house. Tried the wild seaweed salad, the eel roll, grilled steak, lamb chops (day's special), edamame which were dry, over cooked and... More

We ate at Zen Sai on a Wednesday evening which was 1/2 off a bottle of the house red wine (which was excellent). At this restaurant you order small plates of very excellent food. We had plates with skewers of shrimp, skewers of beef & mushrooms that were out of this world with flavor. We would definitely to back &... More

It's not on the main track ie. Ocean beach but the food is excellent. Done in a "tasting style" to share we started with the speakeasy cocktail which was excellent then shared the prawns, jalapeno tails, sliders, crab and a mixture of other delicious tit bits which were all delicious. Well worth a visit. Helpful keen staff and nice ambience.

We stopped by to try the Japanese fusion and were pleasantly surprised. The hostess greeted us promptly and seated us quickly with a smile. James was a fantastic waiter - he knew is menu and the area. He was very professional and had a wonderful sense of humor with suggestions from the menu. The bartender, Julio, checked on us as...
