Indian jewel in Miami crown

It was our last night in Miami after a cruise and fancied some Asian food looked at some reviews and picked Akash and we were so glad we did the food was delicious drinks were reasonable and the service was fantastic. There were quite a few Indian people eating in there which is always a good indication of the quality of the food.all in all we throughly enjoyed our evening and if we find ourselves in Miami again it will be the first place we book.

Really tasty food. Comfortable atmosphere.

Had a really great meal for dinner here. The wait staff were extremely helpful as there were members of our party that had never been to Indian restaurant before. The food did take some time to come out.

Easily best Indian in Miami: service, delicious food, speed, presentation & authenticity

This is by far the BEST Indian restaurant in Miami. Absolutely delicious, everything was perfect. The dishes were full of flavor, the spices were super well balanced, the spiciness was perfect (I’ve had weak heat and inedible hot before) these guys were on point! And then the service... holy moly! The friendliest, sweetest, most attentive and caring people I’ve ever met. The waitstaff were all over it, food came out in less than 10mins and the owner was making rounds all night. He was so awesome, he made time to have conversations with every customer in the restaurant, he made us feel really special and valued, and he went above and beyond to make our experience memorable and fun. Govind (the owner) is incredible and truly deserves all the success in the world- if you want to support a local business, you should choose this one for sure!! PS: try Govinds special mango margarita if you can ;) the best

Excellent Indian food and service in Miami !

Excellent Indian food staters and main course . It’s comparable with the best in US or Europe . Service was exceptional with very attentive staff . Place is exceptionally bright and clean .To top our night we waited for a taxi for 5 minutes and entered the restaurant to call a taxi . The manager advised us if we waited a few minutes ( he had just started to eat ) he would drive us back to the hotel . The only description is to say it was the best evening out we had in Miami. I seldom give 5 stars but Akash gets my 5 stars plus ! .

Quick and delicious§

All white and a bit bland in decor, but the food more than made up for it. The samosas were crispy and delicious, and the rice dishes, chicken and meat were excellent. The owners were hands on and walking around and there seemed to be several regular customers around. Not an upscale restaurant and there were Bollywood dancing on the TV screens, but other than that a good option for Indian food in Miami Beach.

Outstanding Sunday buffet

This is one of the most interesting Indian buffets I have tried and unlike many others, the food was nicely spiced and not at all bland.Instead of the palak paneer you typically see at buffets, they had Khadai Paneer, cooked in a wonderful tomato and onion sauce. The Chana Masala and Dal Tadka were delicious as well. I am a vegetarian, by the way.

Must try Best Indian Dining Option in Miami

Absolutely loved Akash restaurant. The place is clean & the food is just amazing. Above all, the owner Mr. Govind & the elderly gentleman were extremely warm & welcoming & the servers were very courteous. We felt at home. They went out of their way to make something that was not even on their menu which was really appreciated. This was our first time in Miami & I am glad we choose to dine at Akash. Hoping to visit again in the future. This is a must try dining option if in Miami. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Good place for lunch

It's difficult getting out in comfort these days for some of us. I met 2 friends for lunch here and it was just right. We chose to sit outside and the fan helped with Miami's heat. It took a while to order because none of us are nimble enough to use our phones to read menus. One friend, who has eaten here already and suggested the restaurant ordered 2 starters - vegetable samosas (2 to a serving) and onion bhaji. I'm not a fan of fried food, so I tasted neither. She had the tikka masala with prawns and enjoyed. My other friend has the palad (spinach) curry with lamb and also enjoyed. I had the chicken biryani. I was surprised with the goodly amount of chicken in this rice dish and how good it was. The medium spicy was tasty. Very nice place for Indian food on Miami Beach

Good food, poor service

Very nice curry indeed! Unfortunately, we ordered through Grubhub for delivery to our hotel room. Despite giving the room number our food delivery was left in the hotel reception with no room number indicated on the receipt. In addition we did not receive a delivered notification, so our food sat in reception for 30 minutes until we thought it best we check. Obviously the food was now luke warm. To completely ruin things, the eating utensils we'd requested were not included so we were forced to eat the curry with our fingers.

Tasty food

All that matters is the tasty food. The garlic nan was cruchy, not to much garlic. The chicken madras was sweet and with a nice flavour, meat was good, not to dry. Also tried masala and vindaloo, nice flavor. This was a good meal.

I live in the neighborhood. Love this place! It was a lot of fun dining indoors here before the pandemic. They had interesting videos playing on the tv screens and a cool vibe and great bar area for dining alone. Great cocktails as well. But their large outdoor patio area is now a blessing during this pandemic and a safe option if you want to dine out. Otherwise go for takeout or delivery! Best Indian food in South Beach by far!! My favorite is the Chicken Tikka, but Tandoori items are also great! I hope to try the Biryani dishes next time I visit! Highly recommended!

When you think of Miami, and specifically South Beach, Indian food is not the cuisine which comes to mind. However this place will change you mind. The food was excellent. Flavors and textures layered. Spices added to enhance the taste not just thrown in to make it spicy or crank up the heat. We didn't get too adventurous since this was our first time here. The chicken tikka masala was one of the best we've had anywhere. As was the naan. Service was on point. Ordering to meal presentation was was quick, but not so fast you think they had it in warmer back in the kitchen. Trust, the taste gave away they didn't. The decor and ambiance is pure South Beach. All in white, minimalistic, sleek clean lines. Lighting washes which remind you of the club. Not your typical Indian restaurant that goes all in on the Indian theme. With requisite pictures of the Taj Majal. This place leans into the food. You won't be disappointed.

Great place!!!

The food is wonderful. We usually eat outdoors under the awning, bring our puppy. The waiters know us by now and just bring us “the usual”: tandooori chicken, lentils, chickpeas, nan. Everyone is friendly, the place is immaculate. Highest praise!!!

Terrible experience

I ordered samosas and raita online. Samosas were exorbitantly priced, but were tasteless with no salt at all. Raita is like 2 spoons for 2 dollars. I haven’t had a smaller portion for any dish all my life. Not sure how this place is rated so highly

Food preparation and taste was below average and had too much salt. Had to cut a sorry figure in front of guests who were there for first time Indian Food and they did not enjoy it. Had Indian food next day in another restaurant in Miami and was far better.
