Everything was completely average. Nothing bad, but it has been 1 month and can't remember what we had. The steak was nothing special. My strongest memory is of the waitress, quite rude - which is too bad.
My husband and I flew into town to find a great deal on a miami penthouse and potentially move here from California. After a great week of looking our amazing realtor recommended Red Steakhouse to get a feel for the SOFI lifestyle and he said...its where locals eat. We were very impressed with the quality of the food and the staff. We liked it so much that when we come back for our closing we will be celebrating at this lovely restaurant. A great place by far!More

I'm in Miami for a few days and do some research for a nice place to eat with my girlfriend. I decided to check out RED South Beach. I find the place and ask out front if there's any parking.. No -- and good luck...finding a place. I ended up parking a block or two away and walked there. I had reservations -- and I'm thinking about a nice table, a candle, a nice romantic atmosphere... NO - Sorry. I was told 'The inside is closed for renovations - you eat on the outside Patio'. Okay.. The stuffed Cauliflower for like $24 as an appetizer -- nothing to write home about. The NY Strip -- par for the course for a nice place -- like $54 or so.. The Salmon - I guess it was okay (my GF had it).. about $50 as well.. Wine - $20 or so per glass. Then they write themselves in an 18% tip.. I don't care as much about the money - but the place I might choose to eat with only an outside area to sit at and traffic going back and forth around me is called McDonalds and they don't charge $200 for dinner. From the non-available parking - to the no-valet - to being banned from getting any table inside .. these people are just aksing too much of their customers. I would save the money because who wants to pay big money to eat on a curb? Check out Dolce Italian on Collins South Beach -- I gave it one more shot after RED and luckily found a truly great place -- inside dining - crazy good high quality food (it takes them a day to hand-craft thier own pasta from scratch) - hanger steak - everything was top quality - and it actually ended up about $70 less than RED. RED is just a tourist rip-off in my opinion - who would want to pay $200 to eat at a small table on a sidewalk? Dolce, on the other hand, delivered quality as well as a really great, memorable experience and at a fair price.More
We recently celebrated my wife's birthday with 2 other couples. My steak was perfect and the others filets were perfect too. The Oysters Rockefeller and Dover sole were terrific.
When in South Beach in Miami Beach you must dine here
We ate here on our 10th anniversary after looking at reviews for several places in South Beach. It was great! Up front, they did take the proper precautions related to the current COVID situation with limited seating that was distanced properly, the requirement of masks...for people in the restaurant that were not seated, all staff was wearing masks and gloves, and they offered us sanitizer wipes on multiple occasions throughout our meal.
We had a wonderful experience with the wait staff and our food and drinks were excellent. Prior to getting our food our server was great about explaining the different choices and RED's different steaks.
We both got the filet and they were cooked to our preferences and they were delicious. I also ordered the New Orleans Oysters and they were excellent, as well. The sides are larger and can be shared between 2 or more people and we were happy with those as well.
When the waitress found out that we were there on our anniversary, she went above and beyond and took care of our dessert as a gift to us.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and we would definitely recommend others try this great spot. It is on the higher end of prices we saw but we were looking for a higher end restaurant and we were not disappointed.More
I like to be very honest about my reviews. Red is nice restaurant, ambiance, great wines, good cocktails, GREAT service, and pretty good food. While, I had a great time, ordered the salmon and some side dishes. I didn’t find the food to be spectacular,...especially for the price you pay. It was good and very fresh but nothing special. My whole party enjoyed our food but it didn’t leave us with a “omg we have to come back”. I gave 4 stars for two reasons, the waitress Daniel was amazing, attentive and so nice and the dessert, the Salted Carmel Banana cream pie was absolutely AMAZING. If I go back it’s for dessert alone. I would’ve take a pic but I ate it so quick that it disappeared before my eyes. The pie I can honestly say was beyond anything I’ve tasted. 5+ stars for the dessert. So, overall it’s a nice place but for the price you could go elsewhere.More
Thank you so much for giving me always the best service! The best lychee martinis in town. Murisa is the BEST bartender and has a heavy pour!!!! I also recommend the brussel sprouts!!!!!!! Can’t wait to go back!
Amidst the chaos, we still have that one thing that can provide that needed nostalgia to keep us going. That for me is a date night at a fine dining restaurant. But one thing is to go to a “fine dining” spot and another is...to actually experience all the factors it entails. Stellar customer service is among one of the most important of them all. We want to be spoiled, we want to feel important and among all that we want to have a great experience. It all started with a last minute reservation which was seemingly hopeless but still utterly possible. I called at 6:55pm and Nicole picked up the phone. Well aware of the occupancy rules and the situation, I still requested an 8pm reservation. Instead of blowing me off, Nicole put me on hold and called a few of the upcoming reservations to confirm their arrival. Alas she said someone cancelled and was able to fit me in. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful hostess by the name of Zoe. Our waitress Samantha was very knowledgeable about the entire menu and wine list and the food was full of decadent flavors from the savory burrata appetizer to the tender filet. Executive Chef Peter Vauthy has never disappointed and has added new savory dishes to the menu throughout the years. Nonetheless, my wife and I were very grateful for the much needed date night and above all pleased with the overall experience. Thank you to all the employees of Red Steak house Miami Beach for the wonderful experience.More
