Very good, authentic Neapolitan style pizza. We waited a super long time to get our food and felt like our waitress kind of abandoned us but the pizza was definitely worth the wait! Our friend has celiac and had a GF pizza which she said was so good, and a different waiter took the time to explain how they make the GF pizzas so they are 100% not contaminated by regular flour which was very considerate. Highly recommend for pizza and a casual vibe!!

I work nearby to this location, in the Hospitality industry... one thing I look for in places, specially in places like La Leggenda Pizzeria is their way of treating their customers. A small place like this one must feel like home to their customers and this place achieve this. I came to this place and I had the best pizza I have ever tried. While I was sitting at the table, I was only drinking wine and not eating - the pizza maker was looking at me all the time trying to see why I wasn't eating his pizza and that tells me how much he cares for each one of his creations. In three visits in total I know the whole staff and every time I walk by everyone greets me, I am sure this is the same approach to every other customer. Also, their Tiramisu is the real deal. I asked them if the Tiramisu was an imitation or real Tiramisu and man... WOAH!

We looked up the hidden gem because of the advertised gluten free pizza option. Hidden away just off the main Ocean Drive we first noted that this was the first restaurant we had seen people queuing outside for tables.
Jean Luca the waiter came out and was really attentive and assured us a half hour wait would definitely be worth it and guaranteed my daughter her best ever gluten free pizza. He was not wrong.
The food and drink were excellent in a great restaurant with lovely atmosphere and happy attentive staff. Top quality Italian meal.

Read reviews and this place seemed to be a good place to go for pizza. We had a margarita pizza and it was pretty good, I would give it 4.5 out of five stars. The price on it I believe was about $12 which was reasonable. The only thing I did not like was a service charge. I am not quite sure what that was for? I was going to ask but the person I was with would've been embarrassed so I didn't ask and tipped ontop of the service charge 🤷

We were drawn in by the many awards posted on the door and were not disappointed! The staff member outside was telling us about the Napoleon type crust and recommended several different ones. We decided on the Capricciosa and asked how big it was. She indicated about 10" and referred to it as a personal pizza. We didn't want to overeat or have leftovers since we are traveling, so we chose to share. Our only regret was that we could have stuffed ourselves and eaten more because it was so good, but better for us that we didn't. We took it back to our hotel and ate it with a fine red wine. It was out of this world delicious! The crust was super thin except at the edges, where it was wonderfully chewy. The olives weren't canned or Greek, but an authentic Italian variety that was perfect. Everything about it was perfect and we would go again if we were staying longer!

An evening meal with friends whilst in Miami. We choose the restaurant because we wanted something less expensive than the restaurants on the beach front. After seeing all the good reviews on Trip Advisor we thought we’d give them a try. We were not disappointed, the food was of exceptional quality with a good range of authentic dishes. The waiters and waitresses were all very passionate about the food and made numerous recommendations to our group as well as providing excellent customer service. When we left the restaurant there was a queue of people waiting to be seated (quite a few appeared to be locals) which is always a good sign! Overall, throughly recommend this restaurant.

I am a regular guest, I work in hospitality and I never complain but this place has a NON sense policy of not take out for gluten few items, as gluten free people don’t have regular needs. I always go there, I am a regular who has brought many guests to them and I called to order a pick up for a gluten free pizza to which the person who answered the phone just refused without giving a logical explanation. I asked to speak to a manger and he would not allow me to speak to a manager. After asking for so long he said he was a manager which I doubt. He said his name was Matteo which I know for a fact that he is the host or seater or server assistant but no manager because I have been there so many times and he is the one at the door greeting people and seating them, definitely NOT A MANAGER. I don’t like to be treated as a fool, so after being such a loyal guest to this place I can tell you Do not go there !!! If they cannot agree to such a very simple service request of picking up a simple pizza, then I don’t think they are worth of being called a restaurant.
They treat gluten free people as we were aliens or as we do not have the right to eat simple because we have a food allergy. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE

If you like Neopolitan pizza (thin crust in the center, chewy on the edges) and really authentic fresh toppings, this is the place for you. Having returned from a trip to the Amalfi Coast just a few months ago, I can tell you this is the real thing. Cooked in a wood-fired oven a few at a time by the owner, you won't find any better. Small neighborhood spot, come early or make a reservation. You will not be disappointed.

This was our 4th visit and the food is great. friendly service with the pizzas made in the corner oven right in front of you. The Melanzane alla Parmigiana was a delightfully flavored dish that was quite filling. The Margherita Pizza was a work of art (Leggenda has received Pizza Awards!!). We will be back soon. 18% service charge is added to your bill.

The food at the restaurant is delicious with the pizza exceeding expectations. The crust is authentic Italian with the perfect mixture of dough and sauce. We also had the meatballs which were very good. The restaurant currently offers indoor and outdoor seating options. The main drawback was the location. We sat outside and the ambiance on the street isn’t that pleasing with a lot of noise from cars and pedestrians. Otherwise, a great lunch locale.

The second you walk in you feel the pride of Naples, everyone is beaming and so happy to help. The menu is solid with Italian favorites. The pizza and calzones are baked in wood fire oven to a crisp doughy delicious finish.
It’s a small location on Espanola Ave with indoor and outdoor seating.
Tip- best to eat on site and not do takeout the pizza and calzones don’t travel well…but are sooooo awesome right out of oven.

La Leggenda is the best pizza I have eaten anywhere (and I grew up in New York City, lived in New Haven, and been to Italy numerous times).
Unpretentious, down home, relaxed Italian atmosphere (and cosmopolitan-- at least 5 different languages being spoken by patrons).
I had the Margarita STG (the “STG” stands for Specialità tradizionale garantita [Traditional Guaranteed Specialty], meaning the recipe is true to the original).
I made the terrible faux pas of asking for the pizza “crispy”. Our server was a) offended (in a nice way) and b) said that Neapolitan pizza does not come crispy, and especially not the Margarita STG which uses special bufala cheese and always comes out a bit “wet”, and that if I wanted a crispier version, I should get the standard margarita pizza. I asked him which of the two he preferred, and he said, hands down the STG variety. And oh by the way, this is the same pizza that won overall best pizza in the world in the 2012 world championships.
So the STG is what we ordered, and our server was right, and we thanked him afterward. The perfect combination of bufala (healthy helping), tomato, and pizza dough base, each of which was divine unto itself, but the three together were sublime with lovely leoparding around the rim.
And then we topped it off with the best pistachio gelato I have also ever eaten. I had heard that the two flavors that test the skill of the “gelaterista” are nocciola (hazelnut) and pistachio. They are evidently the two flavors most difficult to get exactly right. Pistachio is especially subtle since it is not an overpowering taste. The pistachio gelato should come out a greyish green, not a bright green (ugh). At La Leggenda, it was perfect, and with the smoothest texture of any gelato ever.
La Leggenda is the real deal. You are in for a total treat.

We ate here as a family of four. Turn up give your name to add to the waiting list (normally is one) and hopefully you will be seated within 30 mins or less.
It’s the sort of place whereby you eat pizza and then leave. It’s not a place to linger in.
We went for pizza and wasn’t disappointed as it was very good and authentic Neapolitan style pizza. Try it when your in the mood for pizza and I think you will enjoy.

I was born in Italy, came to Miami years ago. I love pizza and I tried different places but I could never find a restaurant that served authentic Neapolitan pizza.Then one day my son discovered the Pizzeria La Leggenda… the pizza they serve is the real thing, exceptional, no different from the one you could only get in Naples Italy. The owner is a cheerful guy, he plays Italian music, the atmosphere in there made me feel like if I went back to Italy . I could go on and on praising this restaurant but I’ ll let the food speak for itself!!! Buon appetito!!!

Located at the beginning of Espanola Way, no reservations, just come and expect legit top notch bar size pies. Perfect to share one with a salad and a side of meatballs. Like all pizza, eat it on site. The dough is terrific.
Well worth visiting.
