Great Peruvian food but horrible service!!! Seems they need extra help in the kitchen especially on weekends...more than one hour wait for a take-out!!

Good chicken rude people especially cashier. They do not bother as their business is very good and therefore do not need to be friendly or learn our language

El Tambo offered a wide variety of classic Peruvian dishes from appetizers to main dishes to desserts. The canchitas which are typical snack food on the table at most good Peruvian restaurants were perfect - fresh, but not too crunchy. We had the causa de...pollo for an appetizer which was excellent - just right. We got the half chicken pollo a la brasa, and it did not disappoint - very tasty throughout with the classic pollo a la brasa taste that you can't get anywhere else other than in Peru (or a good Peruvian restaurant). The fresh lime made a great compliment, although, chicha morada is a classic drink served in Peru. We were full and skipped dessert, but we'll be going back again and will try a dessert. Enjoy!More

This is a Peruvian style restaurant. The food quality is very good. I tried the spicy seafood and it did not disappoint. They also offer Peruvian beer, which is quite good as well as some passion fruit sangria type, which is my wife's favorite.

This restaurant offers tables for diners who pick up counter orders and eat there or you can get '"to go" orders. Very fairly priced for the amount of food you get. The shrimp soup or Chupe de camaron in particular can easily feed two people...and the fried mixed seafood platter can feed three. Food quality is excellent. This a very casual place that offer good home style Peruvian meals. I would definitely visit again!More

Chicken is the best, but you can actually eat many delicious dishes from the menu such as anticuchos, chupe de camarones, lomo saltado. You have to give it a try!!

The pollo a la braza (rotisserie grilled chicken) is excellent. The Jalea Mixta (Lightly Breaded squid, shrimp and fish) is also excellent. It is a bit on the self service basis, but the prices are great. A definite home style place to get very good...food.More

The lady at the register is always in a bad mood and very un-welcoming. Chicken is great and so are the sauces.

Not so great! The only good food they have is the pollo a la brasa, the rest I find it better either in La Bodega or Inka Zona restaurant. The worst part they do is that either in this location or the main one is...that they don't provide good customer service. Ask for more creams to eat your chicken and they will tell you straight in your face NO. I asked once if I pay for that, and they still said NO. Believe me just for the chicken I'll never come back here, not worth the money to receive that service.More
