As we were strolling Calle Ocho, we stumbled upon this restaurant. Unfortunately because of COVID we couldn’t dine in. However, the portions were great and the food was very tasty. This restaurant did not disappoint. Very good cuban food. Highly recommend!

I honestly do not know how the place got 3-5 stars from other reviewers. Maybe they are paid reviewers? I normally do not write bad reviews. However, maybe the owner(s) will read this and improve their service. I was at the takeout window today and...ordered a mamey smoothie. 1. The waitresses did not acknowledge my presence there. I had to flag them for attention. While they had no problem helping other nonAsian customers. 2. I ordered it with one waitress. She did not speak a lick of English. Being in Little Havana, in a the tourist area. I assume that the waiting staff would have some basic English skill. A kind customer translated for her. Don't take me wrong. I speak Spanish. Just that next to me were two Dutch ladies who ordered in English and the waiting staff did not have problem. 3. The first waitress took the order; then went away to clean the trash. I thought that someone else was making it. I did not bother them. Five min laters, I asked another waitress that what's up with my order. This one also asked me in Spanish. I had to answer in Spanish now. 4. All in all, it took 15 min to get my Liquado de Mamey. After 5 other people had left with their coffee even they came after me. 5. And not an apology from any of the waiting staff that I interacted with. If they do want want to make smoothies since it takes too much time, then DON'T advertise it in the takeaway window! Two guys sitting at the counter witnessed my ordeal and asked if the drink was worth the wait. I just wanted to wait it out to see how horrible the service was so that I could write this review. I wish that the owners take this comment to heart and improve the service so that their business stay opens. Ojaja!More

Delicious, affordable, and good service. I will be back. Had the lomo. You can even get a Cuban beer (Hatuey).

This used to be a favorite place for us for Cuban food. It has changed ownership a few times over the past years, I believe, and is not what it was. The menu is much reduced. The atmosphere is gone. The large TV screens are...dark now. Of course, the evening's live music disappeared a couple of years ago. They always have daily specials, as detailed on the website. At 6pm on Sat. eve we were told that they were all out of the Sat. specials. How can that be? There was no yucca. I think that this has turned into a place for tourists who have no idea what Cuban food is or what it should be. They just need to say they had Cuban food in Little Havana and dump some money. The service was totally inattentive whereas, in the past, it was friendly and attentive. I had to shout to get the two serving ladies to stop talking and bring me the check. They were very attentive to what they were talking about and no amount of hand-waving got their attention. We will, sadly, just have to give it a miss in future.More

Stop in for a good Cubano and other authentic Cuban foods. Across the street from the Ball and Chain

We had the pork sandwich at the bar. You can stand outside and get a coffee if you prefer. It was a set up that reminded me of a port lounge in Madrid I visited when I was in Spain. The staff are friendly and...the service fast.More

A Cuban sandwich for me and chicken & rice daily special for my hubby. Food had good flavor but his chicken wasn’t hot. We were there before it got busy so not sure why it wasn’t hot...he was ok with it so no complaints. Decor...nothing to take pics about but I would eat there again.More

I stumbled upon this quaint restaurant in Little Havana one day and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised that their food was really good! I had the picadillo (marinated ground beef) that came with 2 sides - I had rice and...beans and maduros (fried sweet plantain). The price was great and service was good. I would definitely visit again if I'm in the area!More
