I have lived in Miami for over 30 years and 20+ years ago it was worth the trip to Monty's in Coconut Grove. However, the last two times, the food has been poor; nevertheless, I gave it another chance at the request of a friend,...and I regret it. The Manager, Raul, was the most ignorant, difficult, pompous, individual I have ever encountered. The food was terrible: The Hamburger was under cooked, the fries were cold, and the chicken strips, were double fried.More

My husband and I recently visited Monty's for the first time for a casual Saturday afternoon late lunch. Our waiter was SUPER attentive - some may say too much - but considering how bad some of the service can be in Miami, I won't complain...about that. The drinks were really strong, but really tasty frozen cocktails on the menu, and a good beer selection. The food was nice, if not a little over priced for what you get. I ordered the blackened Mahi sandwich, which was tasty but it's the place / setting that you go for, not necessarily the food!More

Montys is a Coconut Grove institution, I remember going there in the 1980s- 90s.Fantastic location and large outdoor seating area, which is important during the Covid restrictions Hadn’t been in years but went for dinner with some friends while visiting the Grove. Location near the...bay can’t be beat, the outdoor seating great, but overall the food was good but nothing special, and in my opinion prices a little high for value but given location understandable. The service was okay, the food and drink menu should satisfy anyone,.More

I had called earlier in the day and I asked if they still had stone crabs even though I thought they would be out of season. The person who answered the phone said they did and also mentioned that there was a happy hour for...the stone crabs so I was totally excited to try that. I showed up only to find out that they didn’t have stone crabs but I was there and decided to try the restaurant. I’m glad I did! The conch salad is phenomenal and the fish tacos I believe they were Baja fish tacos with grilled fish were equally as delicious I finished it off with a Bundt cake for dessert with rum and ice cream it was good not great but very good I would come back again especially when Stone crab is back in seasonMore

I was traveling with my family to the Keys and decided to stay in Miami for a night. This place has not changed at all from my college days at UM. Place still has a great happy hour and food section. Thank you Alina our...waitress. She was super nice and has a great smile. Ask her if they allow service cats and you will get a great response.More

This was one place I’d go again and again for their happy hour and view of Miami and ocean. The outdoor bar and grill are located in a great area near the marina and where the ships come into the downtown area. Great view of...the city and shore together. Secondly, this bar’s happy hour was second to none. Absolutely loved the drink selection and how reasonably priced it was. The food was fantastic, definitely try the stone crabs if you’ve never! Service wasn’t bad, either. Servers are definitely relaxed there, so to some it may seem “slow”. Order two drinks if need be and you’ll find yourself just as relaxed and less worried about “slow” service!More

let me start off by saying how wonderful polite and friendly our server Josnery was not only did he help us with everything very promptly he also made us feel welcome and wanted. Everything was very sanitary and comforting. I know the Monty’s on south...beach is owned by different people but you can even feel it in the experience when you go down to the quality of food and energy. Juan the GM was very accommodating and respectful when we spoke. My wife was ready to give up on Monty’s but you definitely just won us over WILL be returningMore

great food-prices reasonable and a very fun place for the kids. Very good live music and our little ones loved being able to dance on the dance floor. Would highly recommend and can't wait to return.

Great atmosphere but service can be slow. I had the grilled grouper and it was OK. My colleagues had the Raw Bar and it was really good.

Hello. You may need to find out before hand because the interior area is often reserved for a private party wedding or event, but if dining outdoors you should be fine.
