Good sushi although expensive. Decent sized portions I guess. Lots of rolls made with “krabsticks” on the menu so avoid those. Salad dressing was weird. I got really sick just after eating here hence the bad review.

I go to this little place on US1 everytime I visit my family in Miami. I simply love the Alex # 2 and the shrimp fried rice like crazy. The place is a little bit too dark, the service is just alright and it is...usually too cold, which is something as typical in Miami as the palm trees.More

We were moving around the coconut Grove and landed at this place for food. We ordered for salmon, Soft shell Crab and Prawn fried rice. The food was just ok the service was fine cost on higher side considering the quality of food

This is my favorite sushi place in Miami because it is small and local. I have visited multiple times and my favorite roll is the Alex #2!

Larry has been at this location for over 20 years! He is famous for his sushi and fried rice. he serves hot edamame which is salted well. Well visited by locals and tourists. A few Vegan options are available. Must try !

Went here for lunch with some friends and had the absolute worst experience. Our waitress, Karen, was horrible. She was so rude and sketchy. She told one couple in the group "don't make this hard on me" when they asked to pay separately. She added...auto gratuity of over 20% to our group of 5 when the menu says "18% will be added to groups of 6" , did not inform us that she added auto gratuity and did not give us itemized receipts until we asked for them.More

Great food, great service and really enjoyed the experience. The ambiance isn't bad, but could use a little bit of work. I thought it was a great price for what we got. And would return here again. It is really goof sushi.

I've eaten at each Akashi dozens of times and I think I can officially declare it as my favorite sushi restaurant. The Alex #2 is a must - I get it 100% of the time I dine there. The Coconut Grove location is a little...larger than the South Miami location, mostly because dining extends to the outdoor courtyard (not that there's much seating there either.) Service is always good - nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about either. I will say, out of the dozens of times I've eaten at Akashi, there was only 1 time that I got a sub par roll and it was at the Coconut Grove location. Maybe it was a bad day, maybe delivery took to long, I don't know but it definitely did not hinder my love for this restaurant!More

This Japanese Restaurant in Miami is located both in Coconut Grove and South Miami. The food is good and the serving portions are fair-sized, though the ambience and decor are nothing special. We visited the Coconut Grove location, which has an open-air area with a...view of the main street teeming with tourists and locals. This is a nice place to see Harley Davidson motorcycles, one or a few Ferraris and the dogs strolling alongside their owners.More
