This unassuming restaurant visit was the best service and best meal in the entire area. When we first arrived, we passed it because its tucked away in a corner, hidden by trees. I can't brag enough about the amazing service from our server, Gustavo. He...went above and beyond to make us feel special and valued as guests. The food was hot, fresh, and timely. I HIGHLY recommend eating here. We ate the blue crab, king crab, old bay shrimp, shrimp po boy, chicken nuggets, parsley garlic potatoes and crabdip. The portions are good! The amount of crabmeat in the dip was excellent! High quality 👌. The prices were right!! I can't believe we didn't find this place sooner!! We visited here on vacation and when we return we are eating here more often. Very good food for the price!! Thank you for showing us a wonderful meal and 5 star experience. You don't need to drop $200 on dinner to be treated well. This place is a hidden gem. Please please tip your servers well! We need to keep these guys in business!!More

We were quite surprise when we walked into the restaurant. It had a total of approximately six tables - nothing fancy. They had one server, Luis, who was excellent. The food was really good. So if you want good crabs and seafood, this is where...the locals go. Recommend that you get there early as the line gets long very quickly.More

We followed fellow reviewers’ recommendations and found this gem of a restaurant. Best clam chowder we ever had! Crab dip was great, coleslaw was fantastic (homemade) and the shrimp po’boy perfectly done. There is a reason this restaurant has been here 37 years!! I wish...I could remember the name of our server, but he provided awesome service. My only regret is that I live too far away (a few thousand miles) to make it back any time soon!More

A fun little place in a strip mall area that is well worth the search. Party of four and we all had different entrees. All were very good to wonderful. The lobster bisque was exceptional in flavor. The service was great and the place was...clean and friendly. I would highly recommend this wonderful little restaurant.More

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon the Original Crab House when we looked at google maps to see which restaurants were near us at the time. We are so glad that we decided to try it for our Sunday date night. At first, we freaked...out because the restaurant is so little and there was limited parking in the small shopping center its located in. Once, we were seated, we were greeted by our waiter, Gustavo. Gustavo recommended the crab dip for appetizer, which was delicious! It's lump crab meet that is baked with a little bit of cheese on top and served with pieces of baked bread. For entrees, my boyfriend ordered the shrimp pull boy (which was awesome) and I ordered the house snapper filet. The snapper filet was cooked to perfection and it was perfectly seasoned, it was tasty and simple. I ordered the parsley potatoes and the house salad as sides, which I couldn't even finish because I was already full from the crab dip and snapper filet. The Original Crab House really exceeded our expectations. The restaurant was cute and clean, and Gustavo is a sweetheart. I would suggest that if you are a big group that you call ahead because the restaurant is quite small. We will definitely go back soon! Thank you for having us!More

When we first pulled up we were a little Leary, as it is just a hole in the wall and very small. To our surprise the food was amazing! The staff was wonderful and very attentive. When I found out that the owner in from...Maryland, I knew the blue crab would be perfect. We will most definitely be back when we are here in December.More

I am sure if we ordered the crabs we would have been ok because that is what they are known for but we did not and it was a HUGE mistake for me mainly. VERY overpriced for what we got and salty and just NOT...at all worth it. I guess if you go for the crab you will be ok but anything else there leaves much to be desired and VERY expensive! The atmosphere was unpleasant as we sat next to obnoxious loud disgusting people. Not recommended at all unless you go for the crab.More

Great little tucked away seafood place with very fresh food! Lots of selections, but not overwhelmingly so. Reminiscent of a “Mom and Pop” seafood restaurant, not fancy. Wonderful service from Gustav. Will definitely visit again.

The Blue crabs are delicious! Usually we go there every other month due to distance, but if we lived closer, we would go every week. Prices are reasonable, services is great, the chef is very courteous and the taste and freshness on all the items...are out of this world. I totally recommend this place.More

Decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews and my family was not disappointed. For some unexplainable reason it's hard to find a place that cooks crab legs just right but this place does. They were perfectly cooked, fresh, and steaming hot. So far...the best place in Miami I have found for crab legs! The cajun shrimp was also delicious. The food was equally matched by the great service, especially Natasha. She was very sweet, informative, and attentive. A true professional. We will definitely be returning whenever we're in townMore

I had the blue crabs... absolutely delicious! One remark, there’s was only one waitress and the place was full. They should have at least two waiters.

This is a very small quaint restaurant that serves great blue crabs. My husband and I enjoyed eating there one month ago. It is located close to US1/ South Dixie Highway so access is not difficult. Parking is tight so you might have to park...next door by the church. I suggest getting there before 7:pm because it gets crowded and you will have to wait to be seated.More

Eight of us were traveling to Miami and one in the group remembered a visit many years ago where she ate on paper covered tables and cracked crabs open with hammers. We located this place from the web and it was perfect. The setting is...very casual. The tables are covered with paper and the crabs can be opened with hammers or other utensils. This restaurant is small and seats about 30 people at capacity. Alcohol is served if that is wanted. Parking was a little hard because this place is in a strip mall with limited parking and lots a vehicles. Every dish we ordered was very good. Most of us had some sort of fish or crab, Part of the group got a large platter to share and that worked out well. See photo. The service and meal were excellent. We thought we would return another evening while we were in the area but our plans changed so we did not return.More
