Malanga Cafe is a place to eat, to talk and to drink. Malanga takes pride in providing its customers with the best Cuban food in Miami. Recognized for its World's Best Pan con Lechon, Handmade croquetas, and its freshly ground tamales. The Miami Herald calls it the best comfort food. We believe its the only gourmet Cuban restaurant in South Florida.

Great decor

This a really cute little place off a main street. The decor is very tropical Island. The bathroom was spotless and nice. Now about the food, I think they had good selection of food but they need to focus on providing better food. We order something wasn't suppose to have any cheese. They it comes... read more

Just returned from having a quick meal out near our home before watching the debates. Malanga is a small Cuban restaurant which we have been wanting to try instead of driving farther to Versailles, our favorite Cuban place. We shared a goat cheese salads, and had two main courses, pork chunks, and roast pork. Sides were included- black beans and... More

The Demographics of this restaurant doesn't fit Malaga service and food. I will give Polo tropical a 10 * over Malaga Café. Other Latin restaurant is 1/3 the price and the service is better.

The café is nicely decorated. It is small but comfortable. The owner "Tony" Vias and staff are very friendly. Service was good and the food was also good

We went to this restaurant for dinner. The parking is difficult with none available & people double parking. The place is small but they do have outside seating available that looked nice if you wanted to hear traffic on US 1. We ordered a caesar salad to start with nice size to share. The dressing came on top not mixed... More

There seems to be no passion in the kitchen. Most items ordered were under seasoned. The malanga soup warm to cold. Shredded parsley garnish on most items (so dated). The hostess (with blonde like hair) was very aloof. The best part of the meal was the water. Very far from a true Cuban restaurant in warmth and food flavor. I... More

This place is really cute. I pass it a lot & I was dying to eat here. It has a dim intimate settning, & the servers are friendly & attentive. I ordered the vaca frita de pollo & thoroughly enjoyed it, & the yellow sauce on my plate. I can't wait to eat here again. I saw they're running a... More

Family friendly, nice staff, very good meal selection. I've you've never tasted Spanish food, and/or Cuban food, this is the place for you. Everything from the very tasty food, to the interesting method of receiving your bill (I will keep it a surprise), was great.

We decided that a trip to Miami would not be complete without good Cuban food, so we wanted the best Pan con Lechon (roast pork sandwich) we could find. Malanga claimed to have it, so away we went. Located on Hwy 1, this place has been serving their customers for decades. When we entered the cozy dining room, several tables... More
