Nearly a year after closing its Collins Avenue location, the iconic 40-year-old Cuban cafe alights on Alton Road, settling into a smaller SoBe space with blue-and-black tiled floors and its signature walk-up window where locals get their morning cafecito fix. The menu includes breakfast staples like fried eggs and bacon, plus classics like Cubano Sandwich and churrasco (grilled beef) that never grow old.

A great place for authentic Cuban Food

Whilst in South Beach I visited here for breakfast and for Lunch, both meals were excellent, and the prices were good. It is always busy for breakfast and lunch but seems to be quiet in the evenings

This used to be on Collins and now has moved a bit further out which makes it tricky to get there. We did however manage to get there for a coffee and cake! The Café Con Leche is delicious even without the sugar!

You cannot visit Miami Beach without getting coffee at David's. You never know who you will see there either. Lots of movie stars and pop artists hang there 24/7.

We came here with my girlfriend as a part of the Food Tours in Miami. We had the Cuban sandwich and Cuban coffee. I understand why there was so much noise about this place. The coffee was one of the best I have ever tried and sandwich tasted amazing. The location was not in a tourist spot and it was... More

David's cafe... What can I say? I love it. Omg their Cafe Cubano is AWESOME! Then I had their Cuban sandwich... Cmon David's, cmon. Damn that's a good sandwich. I go to Miami for a few days a year and make sure to hit David's for coffee at least once a day. If anything they get a 5 just for... More

From the moment we walked in we were greeted as if we were family and my son loved the toy chest they have for the kids. Sammy was on top of all our needs and recommend rope vieja with white rice, black beans and sweet plantains which I most say out of this world. Menu has something for the whole... More

If your looking for real Cuban food. I wouldn't recommend this place to no one. I live on the Miami beach and the lamb stew "Saturday's special " was no Bueno. Samy our waiter didn't bother to even switch it out for a different dish. Instead still charged me for the two bites I took. Oh well.

So if you know Ocho Cinco then you know he is frugal, so while visiting Miami I had to take my family to this place he raves about. I had the best steak ever, my family was impressed with the value of food for our money. The waitress had so much personality and was super friendly. Can't wait to come... More

The cafe is actually quite comfy. the food is cuban, the pechuga de polla a la milanesa (breaded chicken breat with ham and cheese) was GREAT, the prices are awesome and the batida de trigo (wheat shake) was a dream.
